Origin of Birth: Earth Kingdom Colony
Biography: Yongzheng was born in a Earth Kingdom colony and lived most of his life side-by-side with Earth Kingdom culture and quickly grew to like it. He disliked going back to the Homeland, even if it was just for short vacations, he always thought everything smelled and tasted like ashes there.

When he was a ten, his father moved back to the Fire Nation with Yongzheng because Hai could no longer stand living in the Earth Kingdom, while his mother, Lihua, stayed behind, unwilling to return to the Homeland. His father took up a life of breeding mounts for the army, as his bad back had always prevented him from joining the army, Hai instead did what he could. Yongzheng was enrolled in the local school to continue the education he had begun in the colony, however, he didn't enjoy being so closely surrounded by just Fire Nation people, food and culture.

He never did very well in school, on account of never getting along with his classmates or his teachers. As years passed, his father grew more and more disappointed in his son, he had hoped to get a child who would be loyal and love the Motherland, and perhaps one day be an admiral in the army, as Hai himself had once wanted to be, but Yengzhong never wanted to help along a Nation he didn't even like, but his fathers disappointment in him still stung.

He was enrolled to army training when he proved to be a firebender. Yongzheng didn't like it, but for the first time in very, very long, his father was proud of him. He continued his training to becoming a soldier, thriving on his father's pride, even though he quickly realized he was not very good at bending at all. He still 'hangs in there' with hopes that traveling the world as a soldier will one day get him back to the Earth Kingdom.
