  "Y-You... chose me??"
Evening. A father returns to his home in Twinleaf Town and switches on the television. It's been set to the news channel.
"This is field reporter Carrie Martinez, coming to you live from Hearthome City. Recently, there have been numerous reports of sightings of unusually large Pokemon flying over Mount Coronet. Many have been speculating that it is an appearance of a Legendary Pokemon, although the identity of this so-called Legendary Pokemon has yet to be determined. I have with me here Professor Pine, a local researcher who has claimed to have seen the being himself. So tell me, professor... Do you think it really could be a Legendary Pokemon that people are seeing?"
"Well, it's a very real possibility. The creature I saw was easily eighteen feet long and had giant wings. I couldn't get a good look at its shape though... it was rather late at night..."
Suddenly, the cameraman turns his attention away from the interview and starts pointing towards the sky. There was a dark shadowy figure, flying high above Mount Coronet, close to the entrance to the Distortion World... Judging by the distance, it was large enough to match the Professor's description...
"James, what are yo- Oh my gosh, over there! It's... It's huge! Professor, is that what you saw?"
"Yes... Yes, I think it is! It's the very same one! It looked exactly like that!"
"I can't... I can't make out the shape..."
The figure disappears into the clouds and the camera turns back to face the excited reporter.
"And there you have it, folks! An actual sighting of what might just be a Legendary Pokemon! This is Carrie Martinez with Channel 9 News, coming to you live from Hearthome City..."
The father's attention was interrupted by a loud roar, unlike anything he's ever heard before. He turns to his window to catch a glimpse of a long serpant-like Pokemon flying past... It was enormous... and there was someone riding it...
Legendary Pokemon have been appearing all over Sinnoh, choosing young trainers to go on a journey together! What could be the reason for all of this? Is there a rising threat that could be worrying the Legendary Pokemon? And so begins a legendary tale...

 RP Rules
1. secrecy25 is the creator of this RP. Whatever I say, goes (but is open to debate).
2. Read all of the rules or you will be banned before you even consider joining.
3. Read rule 2 again.
4. This is technically a Literate RP, but I'm quite flexible when it comes to literacy. I don't mind short posts, but make sure that you show that you are capable of long posts at least once in a while.
5. Posting once a week is the absolute minimum. Unless you have a valid excuse, I'll give you a warning.
6. If you wish to leave this thread at any given moment, just let me know via PM or OOC. If you leave without notice, you will be forcibly reinvited to this thread so that I can kick you out in the most humiliating way imaginable.
7. Font sizes between 9 and 12 for the main body of your posts are the best. Try not to use anything in the decorative sections larger than 18.
8. Occasional spelling/grammatical errors are forgivable but if you're really bad, I offer free English tutoring lessons at the expense of your embarrassment.
9. Posts should generally be in third-person perspective.
10. Avoid double-posting but I will permit it under certain conditions.
11. You are expected to have a constant posting format of some sort. Decorate your posts a little, don't leave them plain. At least have the name of your character at the top and your character's image aligned to the side if you're too lazy.
12. Oversized pictures are illegal though. Don't stretch your posts. I don't want to wear my finger out on my mouse scroll wheel.
13. Vulgarity is allowed in character but I don't want swearing-gatling-cannons for characters. Feel free to ask me what that means.
14. Be nice to others. A calm debate out of character must not explode into a heated argument.
15. 'Out Of Character' (OOC) posts shall be made in special brackets such as ((these)), [these], {these}, or >these<. Ideally, all OOC should come at the top of a post but it's alright to have it at the bottom as well, as long as it's not in the middle.
16. Using txt tlk or L33t Sp3aK (or both) in character is a serious offence. You can use them in OOC but if you do it all the time, I'm placing you in the Black List with the label, 'annoying'.
17. Follow Gaia's rules.
18. Read rule 17 again.
19. Cybering is absolutely not allowed in this thread.
20. Violence is inevitable, but no one dies in this RP. It's Pokemon, after all. It still has to be age-appropriate.
21. God-modding/auto-hitting/auto-dodging is the ultimate taboo in this RP. Violators will be sucked through a doorway where they will see a huge eye and lose one of their limbs.
22. Romance is allowed but don't go overboard in public please. Timeskips are a viable option.
23. Use the profile skeletons below, and send your submissions to me via PM. I will notify you whether your character has been accepted or (in the most unlikely event) not.
24. All character submissions must be titled "I Was Chosen".
25. Include the following phrase in your submission, to show that you've read the rules thoroughly: "Mudkip Should've Been A Legendary Pokemon!"
26. There's a reason you can't see rule 25. Look for it, I'm sure it's somewhere in this post...
27. Read rule 26 again.
28. Anyone who complains about the number of rules gets turned into a rubber chicken.
29. Yes, I know I recycled these rules from my other RP. I have exclusive rights to them.
30. Rules may be added and changed as I please. Announcements will be made in OOC if there have been any changes to any of the posts on the first page.

 RP Guidelines
◎ All of the world's Legendary Pokemon have converged upon Sinnoh and have started appearing to young trainers, telling them that they will be companions traveling on a journey together. Unknown to the trainers, they can sense a threat in the future... A threat so big that the Legendaries feel that they can't deal with it alone...
◎ Chosen trainers can be almost anyone. Some Legendaries may have chosen Gym Leaders or even complete beginners. Their choice is based on a particular outstanding trait they see in their trainer's personality. Roleplayers may choose to play as anyone, except for members of the Elite Four and the regional Champion.
◎ Aside from their chosen Legendaries, trainers may carry up to five other Pokemon with them. Or they may not even have any other Pokemon at all, just their chosen Legendary.
◎ Trainers should ideally be between the ages of 13-30.
◎ This is a non-canon roleplay. The characters from the original series do not necessarily exist in here.
◎ Legendaries have gained the ability to communicate with humans verbally. They can speak and understand English. In addition to that, all psychic-type Pokemon can communicate with humans telepathically. Every other Pokemon remains the same.
◎ In this roleplay, all Legendary Pokemon will have genders (to make things interesting). The gender of the Legendary will be up to the roleplayer's decision.
◎ There is no fixed battle system in this roleplay. Instead, victories are determined by dice rolls, one for each round of a Pokemon battle. Roll a single 20-sided die for each Pokemon battle, highest number wins. A typical battle should be a best of five (three wins makes a victory). With the result in mind, roleplayers must then act out the battle according to the outcome.
◎ Please note that the dice roll battle system only applies when the battle takes place between the characters of two roleplayers. If the battle is simply a battle between a roleplayer's character and a wild Pokemon or NPC trainer, then the dice roll is not needed. The roleplayer who is roleplaying the battle will determine the outcome of the entire battle.
◎ Pokemon growth and evolution will depend solely on the roleplayer's decision. However, please be reasonable with the rate of growth. Roleplayers will receive a warning if their Pokemon grow at an abnormally fast rate.
◎ Should roleplayers intend to bring any major plot event into the roleplay, they should first send a private message to secrecy25 to be granted the permission to do so. This is to ensure that the major plot event does not disrupt the flow of the roleplay from its intended course.
◎ Any further questions or inquiries should be directed to secrecy25 via private messages.

 RP Summary
- A horde of wild Geodudes, Gravelers and Golems attacked Hearthome City for some unexplained reason. All trainers who were present fought to defend the citizens.
- Kuro came up with a plan for the trainers to round up all of the invading rock Pokemon at the center of the city and have the Legendaries knock them out from above.
- The plan succeeded. The trainers at Hearthome managed to put a stop to the invasion of the rock Pokemon by forcing all of them into one place and knocking them out with a collective attack from their Legendary companions.
Character Activity
- Jeremy and Rayquaza have just helped to defeat the horde of rock Pokemon invading Hearthome City, along with the other trainers and their Legendaries. Jeremy is at the Pokemon Center with Aichi while Rayquaza stayed behind to discuss important matters with the other Legendaries.
- Aichi and Dialga have just helped to defeat the horde of rock Pokemon invading Hearthome City, along with the other trainers and their Legendaries. Aichi is at the Pokemon Center with Jeremy while Dialga stayed behind to discuss important matters with the other Legendaries.
- Jezabell is with Nathaniel at the Hearthome City Super Contest Hall. ((My characters are roughly just west of Mt. Coronet. Jeremy is sitting next to a bush, covered in cuts and bruises.))  Jeremy Blake Scheffer ____________ _ _ _   Currently with Rayquaza Flare Krystal Grace Brick Amelia
Currently at ...somewhere near the base of a hill, west of the Mt. Coronet mountain range.
Currently feeling bruised... Ouch.
Rayquaza is thinking "And so it begins... Sinnoh..."How can you see into my eyes like open doors...
Leading you down into my core, where I've become so numb... "No, seriously... Are we there yet?" asked Jeremy. He was riding on Rayquaza's back, lying on his front as he kept himself straddled on the big green Legendary. He couldn't take it. They had been flying for hours and there really wasn't much to look at. The ocean... the clouds... the sky... and pretty much nothing else. Jeremy was usually patient, but even his patience had a limit. Rayquaza couldn't help but chuckle and answer him, "Bored, are we? We can chat if you like. We should be arriving at Sinnoh any minute now."
"Well... It's not that things haven't been interesting... But..."
"You've just never traveled through the air for more than eight hours before," said Rayquaza, finishing his sentence for him. Jeremy let out a sigh and said, "Yeah. Exactly."
Sinnoh was a long way away from Hoenn. Jeremy had never asked Rayquaza directly why they needed to get there but, seeing as it was coming from none other than the mighty Rayquaza himself, he figured it must be something really important. They did make a stop in Kanto and Johto along the way though, as flying straight to Sinnoh would've taken much too long. And besides, Jeremy was eager to see the sights around the two regions. They spent about a week there before leaving again for Sinnoh. Jeremy was slowly beginning to doze off when Rayquaza said, "Wait no longer, Jeremy. We've arrived. That's Sinnoh right over there."
Jeremy sat up straight in surprise. "Where?"
"Right over there," repeated Rayquaza, pointing forward with an outstretched arm.
"Wow... Sinnoh is huge... said Jeremy, in awe of the great landmass before him... A giant island with a majestic mountain range with a strange large dark portal surrounding the peak of the tallest mountain. It was Sinnoh all right. Jeremy pointed to that portal and asked, "What's that?"
"That's the Distortion World," answered Rayquaza. "What you see is an opening to this strange dimension that is nothing like the human world. I'm quite sure that a few of the Legendary Pokemon of Sinnoh might be encountered in there..." Rayquaza, not wanting to tell Jeremy any more about the Legendaries of Sinnoh, changed the topic and said, "I think we should land at the base of the mountain range. We would not want to land in a large city and draw too much unnecessary attention to ourselves."
"Yeah, I guess you're right," said Jeremy with a smile, agreeing with his suggestion.
Rayquaza began to descend, taking care not to fly too close to large cities. He flew close to the side of the mountains to give Jeremy a great view of the portal. There were one or two hikers down below who gazed up at Rayquaza in shock but it didn't matter. All of the Legendary Pokemon were going to appear to humans eventually... Jeremy gazed up into the dark portal with awe... without realizing how far he was tilting his head back. Everything then seemed to happen so slowly... He lost his balance and fell off of Rayquaza's back sideways... Rayquaza tried to catch him with his claws but could not do so in time... Jeremy fell about fifteen feet into a tree, breaking a tree branch and landing in a bush. He was bruised all over but he was lucky that they were flying so close to the ground. "Jeremy, are you alright?" called out Rayquaza from above, unable to see Jeremy's exact location through all the greenery. He winced as he sat up. "Ouch... I'm over here, Rayquaza!" yelled the boy. His call echoed across the empty fields and Rayquaza found him right away. "Perhaps you should rest for a few minutes. We are in no hurry to get anywhere anyway, now that we are in Sinnoh."Without a soul, my spirit sleeping somewhere cold...
Until you find it there and lead it back home...

Lillian's Pokemon talked amongst each other sat among the rocks near the crash site alongside there young master. The trainer known as Lillian Faire, simply listened despite the fact Lily could not understand a single word from the group (With the exception of Chatterbox). All eyes were on the mysterious meteorite that there trainer held in her hands. "So, what's the verdict guys?' The blond female commented out loud only to receive an unsure shrug from the Hypno and Machoke while an annoyed Kirila kept the Chatot from pecking his beak at 'Shiny' rock.
<'I'm sorry Lillian, we don't know. My guess is it's just a large star peice or something considering it fell from the sky.>
Igor's mentally replied to Lily his voice held a hint of an Regal European accent echoing though the girl's thoughts. Only the curious Lily nodded in agreement accepting the hypno's theory before pulling away the rock away from Chatterbox. 'I suppose you're right Igor. Heh, I bet this is going to worth alot when we reach Hearthorme.' The blond smiled examining the rock if it was worth any higher value gratefully thanking that everyone can go another month. Only there was some lingering thoughts that one large piece of whatever-this-is won't be enough still if business remained slow as ever.
But Lily showed those thoughts aside knowing it could worry the party if they were to sense it.
When in doubt start humming....that usually gets the pink performer in the mood as Lillian stood back up holding the meteorite. Suddenly as if on cue the mysterious stone moved sideways enough for anyone to notice.
"Ekk!' Lily quickly dropped the rock on the ground with a thud. The pokemon jumped in shock wondering the cause of the shrill. The meteorite rocked again only to become still once again as if disappointed.
"Chat?! Lily? Lily?'
"It moved...did you guys see it?'
<'Should I crack it open with my fists?'>
<"No! Be realistic everyone!>
<'Well...there goes a peaceful afternoon.'>
Again a series of chatters as the Pokemon were suddenly confused at the turn of events as there surprised trainer. Lily cocked her head cautiously pressing a gloved hand on the strange rock. Again, it moved but though her hand was a feeling that something was alive. It reacted to something..so what if? But...first. 'Quiet, guys!' Lillian barked using a rarely giving a direct order for everyone to be quiet. Everyone stopped there bickering taken off guard by there trainer as Lily picked up the rock and began to sing.
(( Lily isn't usually serious but if she is. It's usually something big or if mad. The colored tone are Igor, Elizabeth, Big Ben, Chatterbox and Charlie that and Chatterbox can only speak out loud only in limited english. I hope it's okay. That and I thought Jirachi could wake up if someone sings nearby or something. ))

unexpected, I did find, A pokemon so rare and fine
"Good miss" said she addressing me; her pink tail switching side to side
"I do hope I do not startle you but I'm in need of your assistance~"
"Hello good miss, I am surprised" I admitted to the Mew
"It's not everyday a Mew comes my way and seeks my help you see."
She nodded regally her bigs eyes wide; full of intelligence hidden.
"I understand but the time is at hand and I shall need your help before the end" She answered cryptically.
"What time? The end? What do you mean Miss Mew?" I asked confusion on my face.
It worried me; the things she might see that would lead such words from her.
The Mew, she smiled and shook her head; mystery and amusement in her eyes.
"I cannot say" said she to me "Will you assist?" she asked.
Smile I did, Of course I would "How can I say no to you?" said I to her
"Your needs must be great to have asked me. I do not know what help I may be but my help is yours."
She smiled so big and flew around; so hyper and excited. "Yippie! hurray! I knew you would!" excitedly she did proclaim.
And that was how, one fine May Day, I caught myself a Mew. Yumi checked her things over one last time; making sure she had all the supplies she would need for an extended trip to Sinnoh and that her room at the Dance Hall was all nice and orderly.
"Come On~" pesters a floating pink ball with annoyance and boredom. "Lets get going already!" Mew complains from on top of her floating pink reflect orb. She had summoned it to play with an hour ago and was throughly bored of doing so now.
"Just a moment and I'll be ready. I'm sorry it's taking so long, really I am. But you want me to bring my flute and lute don't you?" Yumi asks her newest pokemon companion. She is rewarded when Mew sits up excitedly and zips around the room; causing her other two pokemon to voice complaints. "Music~! Hurrah!" Mew calls out happily; completely oblivious that her actions were disturbing Ruby Sun and Sapphire Moon.
'Mew, calm down. This is hardly appropriate behavior.' Ruby lectures as she nimbly and carefully plucks Mew out of the air by the scruff of her neck and puts her on the floor. Placing a gentle paw on the hyperactive legendary she gently begins to wash Mew.
Yumi laughs. She always knew that Ruby and Sapphire had parented her; but it was amusing to see them do it to Mew as well. Shouldering her Bag she smiles at her three pokemon. "Alright! Lets go."She announces.
Mew teleports out from Ruby's hold and nods. Her eyes begin to glow and resonating glows appear on Yumi, Ruby Sun and Sapphire Moon. "Here we go!" She announces and the scene around them dissolves.

The scene solidifies to trees and a mountain. Yumi slips on the footing. Quick as a flash Ruby and Sapphire grip her wrists gently and step backwards slowly until she is on stable ground. "Thank you." She says to them and then looks around curiously. "Mew where are we?"she asks.
"we're at the western side of Mt. Coronet." Mew says clearly distracted by something. She looks around flitting here and there and then sudden takes off. Not so fast that Yumi couldn't follow; but obviously on a mission.
'Do you hear singing Sapphire?' Ruby Sun asks her ears twitching forward as she perches on a rock in the direction Mew left in. Sapphire says nodding agreement. He adds in a loving tone. Ruby laughs and takes off after Mew; 'She's following a song of some sort!' She calls to Yumi as Sapphire races after her.
"Brother, I should have known." Yumi says racing after her pokemon. She discovers Mew floating in front of a girl singing to a rock. Blinking she smiles and hurries over gracefully. She plucks Mew out of the air and holds her close to her chest.
"Sorry about that. I hope She didn't disturb you Miss." Yumi says giving a bow to the seated girl. "But it's Jirachi! I want to say hello!" Mew protests aloud. "It's been so long since we last saw each other!" She adds in response to Sapphire's scolding.My Dance Partners are: Mew, Sapphire Moon (shiny), Ruby Sun

~Let the Flowers of Ambition Bloom~Lily suddenly stopped short of her singing when a strange cat-like Pokemon approached the little performer. "Hmm?' The blond girl questioned eying the mew without any fear despite this playful creature came out of nowhere. 'Well, aren't you a sweetie.' Lily smiled about to reach a hand to pet the Mew by the ears only for a kimono girl to come onto the scene apologizing if the Mew was bothersome.
The trainer looked surprised as Lily shook her head in protest to the apology waving Yumi off. "It's no biggie. It's always wonderful to have an audience.' Lillian spoke over hearing Mew speaking about it's friend...Jirachi? Lillian's teammates were a little put off but were welcoming the newcomer.
Honestly, it didn't hit any bells in the blond's head since Lily was a native Sinnoh. Mostly poplar Pokemon and Legendaries among her homeland. Unaware the rock was beginning steadily glowing encouraged by the singing and the appearance of Mew until suddenly.
"You're friend is a r---ACK?!'
There was a suddenly flash of light which surprised everyone. Igor and Elizabeth stayed close by half expected of some kind of attack while the others simply hid behind B.B and Charlie. When the light faded there was no evidence of the stone only a ball of light floating delicately never leaving Lily's arms taking shape until a sleeping Jirachi appeared sleeping peacefully warped in yellow. A pregnant silence went though the troupe as the identity of the mysterious rock-whatever-it-was was revealed.
<"Well, I'd seen alot of things lately but this takes the poffin cake, Lillian.">
"Uh huh...' The girl replied only to beam happily seeing how absolutely adorable the star creature it was. 'But who cares? It's so cute.." Lily giggled huggling the petite star geantly that was until the happy trainer began to shake Jirachi. "Wakey wakey! Eggs and Poke bacon!' Lily exclaimed excitably gently bouncing Jirachi up and down in front of Mew and Yumi to rouse the wish Pokemon to wake up.
The bouncing indeed woke as the petite Pokemon woke up letting out of a yawn. "Yawwwnn~ Eggs? Bacon?' Jirachi cooed still drowsy from it's long slumber wiggling out away from Lily. Igor and Elizabeth let out a worried cry that there trainer was a little rough to wake it up. Only to found the star stopped itself from hitting the ground floating upwards curiously until it landed on top of Lily's head cocking it's head at Mew, Yumi wondering who woke the Pokemon up.
"Mew? Mew? Did you wake me up?'

___[G]lancing from one to another, the female rose an eyebrow as she watched her fellow companions rest under the cool breeze. She crained her neck back, staring up at the rather tall tree that stood proudly behind her. Since when was there such a tree? Shrugging the thought off, she turned her attention back to them, wondering how they could sleep when a sudden encounter has faced them right before their very eyes. Though it was awhile ago, perhaps a week or a week and a half, she still felt a little uncertain to what's going on; only just a clue. She sighed in surrender, knowing there was not much for her to do, but prepare for a new journey. Her eyes shifted from the five of them, soon resting on a tall figure that stood at the edge of the lake. Its figure was still yet relaxed as its eyes set on the water ripples. Her curiosity perked to how such a Pokemon had appeared before her. Sliding her hand into her waist pouch, she drew her Pokedex, wanting to read over the information, at which she was still taken aback for.
___I still yet to understand why this Pokemon has chosen me? What can I possibly do? She thought unsurely, though the feeling in her was full of determination.
___[Shaking the thought out, the female already knew it was already set, and she wasn't backing down on this. It just made her curious at times. Slowly rising to her feet, she took soft steps around her team, making her way towards the large, blue-clad Pokemon who was still standing by Lake Verity's edge. She slowly raised her hand, soon feeling a sudden chill going down her spine as she rain it forwad the more she took her steps closer to the lake. Not a single smile played on her lips, though her expressoin showed off a gentle tone. Her eyes then softened before she made a final stop. She, too, gazed down at the water ripples, including her reflection, before drawing back and resting at its leg. It was rather wide and cold, but she had gotten used to it already.
___"I think that was enough training and resting, so should we head out?" She lightly remarked.
___"As you wish, Aichi," A rather deep tone rang. "But make no haste. We are, after all, in Sinnoh..."
___"'And that is where it all begins.'" She recited with him. "You've said that quite a few times now,"
___[T]he blue Pokemon slightly lowered his head and peered down at Aichi, feeling her great flow of energy, but he was still uncertain to where it was coming from. However, his reason for choosing her would one day be revealed, and the young lady seem to have not the slightest clue. Yet. A what sounded like a sigh was released as he lowered his head, brushing against Aichi's mid-body, causing her to grow wide-eyed. While he brought his head back up a little, she followed his eyes, wondering what the push was for. She didn't put into action to ask; just remained silent as he looked back at the water. She, too, followed his gaze and stared blankly at the forming ripples. He knew she was thinking, causing him to once again lower his head and close his eyes. The sound of shuffling was made behind them, causing him to look back. Her Pokemons seem to be waking up, but noticed they were just setting into another position. Aichi sighed, slowly rising off of the Pokemon's leg and turned on her heels. She walked back, picking up her waist pouch, and reached into it, slowing drawing out a blue, pink with yellow, green with yellow, and blue with pink poffins. She waved the scent around above her companions, wanting to get their attention before taking a few steps back.
___"Time to get up, everyone," Aichi waved the poffins again. "Let's train one more time and head out."
___[I]mmediately, one by one, her Pokemons rised and readied themselves, agreeing with full courage as they moved around the area, setting into a good spot for training. Aichi reached into her pouch once more, grabbing a blue and green poffin and waved at the Pokemon behind, who was watching her from afar.
___"That includes you, Dialga,"
___He was rather taken aback, but nodded as he made his way towards her. "As you wish."
___[A]ichi slightly nodded her head, placing the poffins back into its case as she, too, readied herself. From one Pokemon to another, another set of training began. Just to fill the time, of course.
___"Suzan, hydro cannon!"
