Thank you, Wikipedia; Seattle Sounders FC is a Major League Soccer (MLS) team based in Seattle, Washington. It was established in November 2007 as an MLS expansion team. Fans chose the Sounders name through an online poll in 2008, making the Seattle Sounders FC the third Seattle soccer team to share the moniker.
This is my hometown team here in Washington, USA. The team was formed last year, and we started our season off on the right foot by selling all 22,000 season ticket packages offered by the club for their inaugural season were sold, making us the club with the most season ticket holders in the MLS [AND GUESS WHO'S ONE OF 'EM? ;D].
Last season we also won the Open Cup, so we've qualified ourselves for the 2010-2011 CONCACAF Champions League.
Home kits generally look like this;

Noteable Players include;
Freddie Ljungberg (Who may be leaving us) Who left us for Chicago. Boo.
Blaise Nkufo (Who just joined us)
Kasey Keller (Who was born in our very own Olympia. He's also had a fairly good career abroad in the EPL and the Bundesliga (Noteably Tottenham, Fulham, and Borussia Mönchengladbach)
*Brad Evans (...Ok, so he's not nearly as recognizable or loved as the previously mentioned but he's MY favorite player, and that's all that matters! scream )
This season we've not done too terribly well but... that's ok! xD I still love this team and my heart bleeds Sounder Blue and Rave Green for these boys.
Fun Stuff;
-Rivals include;
Philadelphia Union -Haters gonna hate! They played their innagural season game against us at our home Qwest Field this year where we beat the snot out of them 2-0. They continue to be butthurt ;D
Portland Timbers-[BOOHISS] New expansion team to join the MLS next season. Our rivalry with this city has been known to exist before our beloved sports teams were created. Things are only expected to get worse next year. I can't wait.
Vancouver Whitecaps-Who thought letting TWO MORE NW teams into the expansion in the same year was a good idea? These guys hail from Canada and are due to join us in the MLS next year as well. Woo-hoo. neutral
Not necessarily an official rival, but we also really hate the LA Galaxy. And really anyone that isn't our team.
-Our stadium has the highest attendance in the MLS, averaging at over 36,000 at most games.
-We are also the loudest stadium, next in line to Toronto FC.
-We've played friendly matches against Barcelona FC, Chelsea FC, Celtic FC, and Boca Junior.
-We're known for having some of the most dedicated fans in the league. Every single one of us is extremely passionate about our team.
