Personality:
Vel can generally be described as an affable, easy-going kind of guy, with immature or excitable moments here and there. Sometimes his demeanor depends on who he's around, but he does best with other Dreichda, and harbors no ill will to others regardless of their species. Usually to bring out his nasty side he'll have to be provoked first, otherwise he is quite civil.
In his family, Vel is somewhat of an outcast. Having a deep affection for nature and the world in which he lives, he has honed himself into a finely tuned hunter, accustomed to living in the wilds of Adraiggnu. This wouldn't be much of a problem, except that most of the older members of his family are firmly engaged with humans and their society. Born on one of the numerous Freckle Islands, the aspect of entering human society was intimidating to the young dreichda, who chose to delay it, much to the dismay of his parents.
Vel keeps in sparse touch with his family and has taken on the life of a roving bachelor, seeing what there is to see and generally keeping away from humans. He is not openly hostile to them, but rarely approaches them of his own accord. It can be gathered by talking to him that there is a vague curiosity towards humans, but the aspect of being 'tied down' to a single place seems to be the real problem for Vel. Whether or not it is some sort of rebellious streak remains to be seen, as he has yet to come to terms with what his parents wanted.
Likes:
- Flight. This might go without saying for most Dreichda, but the joy of flight will always lift Vel's spirit.
- Fishing. Vel had plenty of time to hone this skill on the island of his birthplace, and he's become quite good at it.
- Sunbathing. Nothing like the feeling of sunshine on your wings and back in the morning.
- Observing nature. Vel has a healthy respect for the world around him, and when he is not hunting or off doing other things, he delights in watching birds or other animals go about their business, as much can be learned from them.
Dislikes:
- Comitting. This isn't to say that Vel is disloyal or flaky, because he generally won't let himself get into situations in which he is forced to be (permanently) pinned down. He hates the idea of not being able to do what he pleases, which can make him seem difficult at times. Vel values his freedom greatly, though that isn't to say he wouldn't give up a lot for his friends, either.
- Humans. Though his parents have told him many stories, Vel still harbors an odd unease toward the 'humechen', though he would never harm one unless it was life or death.
- Unwarranted cruelty. Vel will rarely put up with humans or dreichda who carry out deeds of the afforementioned kind. If he thinks he can do something to help someone out, he often will (though it is doubtful he'd ever try to 'be a hero' in bad odds).

Of Aquaintances and Adventures
Vel likes friends. Most of the people he meets will be filed under friends even if he doesn't know them very well. Something pretty bad has to happen for him to think of someone as an enemy.
Friends
- Reicher - Brash fighter who doesn't let his wounds heal. Vel sees him as somewhat foolish for this, but he's likable enough.
- Vitalia - A shy one who has many roses. Vel was with her very briefly, but finds her shyness rather cute.
- Misha-Rin - A hot-headed, stuck up Northerner with an icy demeanor, she seems touchy and unapproachable. Vel will probably do his best to keep away.
- Calidore - Gruff, but not enough to ward Vel away from seeking his company again if they crossed paths. A Northerner as well, but nowhere near as icy as Misha-Rin.

Proposed Scenarios
Friends and General RP
Of all the kinds of RP you can do, I adore character interaction the most. If you read over Vel's bio you'll find that he's generally a friendly chap, but if you have some nasty dragon who's looking for someone to rough up(or try to), that's all fine. I really like short paragraph or script RP, and I can do aim or guild.
Humans
I will be somewhat picky about this, but I'd adore it if Vel could get a little human interaction. Humans exist in this world, and I'm pretty sure anyone can RP one (a nice feature for the new people who don't have pets? Please correct me if I'm wrong) so if you're interested just drop me a PM. I'm interested if you'd like to plot with me!
