Clair looked at the child, he made it this far, and would not be taken for a fool. But to underestimate her would be a huge mistake.
"Go Dragonair!" Clair shouted, throwing her pokeball up into the air. The ball came back into her hand, as the Dragonair slid into the deep water.

"Arcanine, stay on guard, this does not look good..." Seiichi said quietly.
He looked around for the Dragon which had disappeared before his very eyes.
(You mean lava, right?)

(( No I mean "Water"..a Pool of "Water", because we are in the gym are we not? lol ))
Clair made sure not to make eye contact with the water, not giving any indication to her pokemon's whereabouts.
The Dragonair kept swimming around, knowing the routine that they had played out for many times before. "Dragonair use surf!" The dragonair sticked it's head out of the water, and pointed it's head up in the air, as a large amount of water covered the ground at Arcanine's feet. A larger wave now came closer to the fire Pokemon, gaining momentum.

((Oh yeah... My bad. Thinking too much into the games. It would make no sense in a real battle to have lava. xD))
"Arcanine, come back!"
Seiichi said and sent his fire type back into his pokéball.
"Go, Flygon!" he shouted and sent out a dragon type to counter the Dragonair.
"You can take the attack! Stand strong!"
"Vi!!"

Clair was angry, that he took his pokemon back so soon. Doesn't matter, just means she has to try harder.
As the large wave from surf crashed into were the Arcanine once was, Clair gave a new command very quickly. "Use Dragon Breath on the flygon!" The huge ball of power soared to the flying pokemon, they were so close that, even as fast as the opponents pokemon may be, it covered such a wide area, that it's only way to fight against it would be to counter the attack.

"Thats it! Use Dragon Breath to counter the attack!"
The two attacks clashed, causing a massive surge of blazing heat to surround the battlefield. They nullified each other out completely, leaving nothing to see left.
"Flygon, use dragon claw while the Dragonair is still visible." Seiichi shouted, eager to win.
"Vi!!!" Flygon roared and used its immense agility to quickly move towards the dragon.
Flygon used its claws to create a blazing strike, nearing the completely unprotected Dragonair.

The flygon was so close, that Claire could only think of one thing.
"Dragonair use Dragon Breath once more!" The Dragonair charged up, and as the flygon came closer, the ball of energy was what the dragon claw hit, causing a huge explosion, sending the two Pokemon into opposite walls.
Referee: Dragonair is unable to battle!, Looking over to the flygon he was waiting for the dust to settle, before seeing if he was knocked out also.

"Flygon... Are you ok?" Seiichi asked and watched as the dust slowly settled.
It was barely able to stand.
"I think you had enough for one day. Come back..." Seiichi said and smiled at his loyal pokémon.
"Vi..." Flygon growled back and gladly entered the pokéball.
Referee: Flygon is unable to battle! Both pokémon were knocked out in the giant explosion. Trainers, choose your next pokémon!
"Okay, now you really made me want to win this! Go, Gyarados!!!" Seiichi shouted and sent out his other dragon pokémon.
"Now lets see what she has gotten up her sleeve..."

Clair was not phased by the new Pokemon choice, she has trained with her cousin lance more times then she could count.
"Go Dragonair!" She sent her second Dragonair out, the two Pokemon were standing next to their trainers. "Are you ready to give up kid?" She asked, standing with ease.

"I guess you dont know me really well." Seiichi said and grinned. "I never give up a fight! Especially when its a fight this fun!"
"Gyarados, use dive to go deep underwater!" He ordered and smirked over at Clair. "You are strong though, i will give you that! I have never faced a trainer as strong as you!"

Clair just looked at him with a smug grin, " Then child you have not looked into all of my possibility's, and strengths as the last, and final gym leader."
"Dragonair Use thundershock on the water!!" Clair shouted, knowing that electric moves were 4 times as worse on Gyarados sense it was a water and flying Pokemon, and the pool of water also acted as a conductor.
The Gyarados had a very small possibility of being able to battle after the huge amount of elemental damage.

"Crap!" Seiichi exclaimed and lost his smirk completely as his Gyarados suffered a great deal of damage. "Gotta think of a way to repay the damage... Quick! Gyarados, use surf!"
A wall of water was sent towards Dragonair, causing Seiichi and his pokémon to be completely hidden from sight.
"Gyarados, come back." He quietly whispered.
"Go, Skarmory." Seiichi then said, looking serious.

The water hit Clair, and her Pokemon's feet, feeling a little static electricity from the previous thundershock. Her Pokemon whooped with glee at the tingle feeling.
"First tip kid, before going to the league. Don't underestimate them, or me...we did not get this title for nothing now." She spoke, giving her Pokemon more commands.
Knowing that the flying Pokemon probably didn't have that many ranged attacks, she told her Dragonair the command to go into the water.
Dragonair swam around, looking up at random times.
"Use Dragon Breath!" Picking his head up the Pokemon charged it's attack, firing the very large ball twords the flying bird.
