Now, I know for a lot of people, a few years after really getting into their path, one may become used to all of those 'out of nowhere' signs or energy fluctuations, the sudden presence of an ethereal entity, fairy play/trickery, randomly slipping off into daze while watching a pot of spaghetti boil or while knitting, and all of those things that go bump in night and are just part of the life of a witch and pagan.
When one is starting out though, and even to those whom are accustomed to such things, sometimes things can just flat out creep you out or give you chills and goosebumps! Or perhaps it was just so random and/or bizarre that it totally threw you off. Tell us your experiences with such things! We'd love to hear about it. Plus it's just kind of fun to talk about, like ghost stories.

I used to see things.. I would be driving, walking down the hallway in school, or drinking a glass of water and the reality would change. Instead of seeing the world as it was, I would see like the apocalypse or something...Like fire and brim stone, sulfur smells, dizzing heat..I woudl start drinking water, or anything really, and I would see blood, and taste it..It really started to freak me out. But not anymore.

When I was younger I found this doll in our attack that just reeked of bad juju. This thing was just evil looking. It was a china doll with gray hair and the blush on it's cheek was almost the special color of blood that Tim Burton likes to use in his films, that thick bright red with just a hint of orange hue to it. But the thing was that there was even a hint of that color in it's eyes like they were bloodshot.
Normally dolls or poppets don't bother me at all but this one just felt so freaky and just foreboding. So one day a friend of mine and I took her outside, busted the porcelain parts up with a hammer and burned all the cloth and cotton in a pit we'd dug out before burring the remains and saying a few things. It may have been nothing and just my imagination running wild, but I felt better after doing all of that.

lol *brings a box of Hershey chocolate bars, graham crackers, a stick and a blanket to join ya*
I have a few spooky stories to tell, well more then a few but I won't bore you with all of em! XD
So I've dealt with communications following peoples recent demise while their still essentially easy to communicate with following their death since well, before I can remember, calling someone to say last farewells and such has simply been something I've been able to do naturally when someone feels the need to communicate. But when I got older I ended up opening a door I couldn't close, they could suddenly just show up which wasn't too bad, I'd learned some tricks to keep myself protected and I'd still yet to truly be terrified of an encounter no matter the type. Then when I was 17 someone very dear to me passed away and something just wasn't right about his death, it didn't seem natural or real even. I personally went to his viewing and saw him lying there in the casket, felt no pulse but even still it was impossible to believe and everyone despite the different beliefs felt the same, that he was still there, and not just simply there with us in the room but still in his body! Now I've lost people I cared dearly for and I'd never felt that way with anyone but him. And I didn't make it to his funeral the following day, I couldn't. I got soooo sick at the time that I later found they started putting him in the ground! It was so abnormal, something was sooo wrong and I was clueless as to the what and why. However, after a while I ended up forgetting he died, forgetting why I never set foot in the graveyard by a park I spent a lot of time in once... It was like it never happened, any of it. Like he was still off somewhere, traveling about and would likely randomly appear out of no-where by coincidence as he always did... But then as my birthday neared again I became restless at night, I kept feeling like I was forgetting something very important, kept hearing my name at random times but then call it a figment of my imagination. Until one night as I drifted to sleep I didn't feel like I was asleep but new I wasn't awake. I sat up out of my body still in bed, looked around and my bed was in a place covered by trees and a familiar voice was calling me for help. Frantically I jumped from bed, leaving my body and bed behind running through the trees, stumbling down a hill and then I saw an opening and ran through it, before I knew it I was in a familiar graveyard.... and then right in front of that persons grave! He was calling from under the ground and I was so afraid! I started digging/crying fearing that if I didn't dig him out he'd suffocate to death. Then I saw his hand and it grabbed my wrist aggressively, and I freaked and fell back somehow into my body in my bed room and jolted up and wide awake to sit up immediately feeling that I was clearly not alone in the room and sure enough, sitting in the chair not far from the foot of my bed (big bed, little room) there he was. And I was terrified, something was different, not right. and He stood up and started towards me asking for help, saying terrifying things and then my bedroom door opened and he vanished not too soon to not be gotten a glance of by my friend whom I lived with however. She was sleeping upstairs in her room but she said she woke up feeling like something was wrong in the house. Like I was in danger and came down as quickly and quietly as she could. We talked about it and then she asked if she could stay with me in my room that night. She was like a little sister and was exceptionally sensitive to the slightest alteration of energies within a certain proximity of where she was.
I know he's still there too, I feel horrible, I've left him there all this time and yet to do anything about it. I've been studying off and on but I'm not sure still what to do. cry Right after his unexpected visit I went to the gate of the graveyard but I couldn't enter. I felt like I was fighting an unseen force to step foot inside. However, I think it was more I couldn't bring myself to admit he was there, I wanted to forget, I was terrified to go in alone as well and couldn't get anyone to go with me. And of course there was the most important 'what the hell am I supposed to do when I get there!?' terror... if I did the wrong thing what might happen to him or to me!? Now I live too far away. However, I do plan on returning someday (I hope for his sake I don't leave him waiting too long) and I've got a few different things I've determined might alter his state and release him.

Wow, just wow Yume. That's quite the experience. Although I hope you feel more sympathy than any sort of responsibility. You obviously have a gift but it's obvious as well that that person has a reason for still being here. However, if it were me in the same situation, I could see how there would be this sense of 'I need to do to something' or feeling bad for not being able to help them cross over.
That's something that weighs on ones heart. cry

I thought I'd share this little more uplifting cemetery story with you all. 3nodding
Contrary to some notions of a cemetery being rather spooky at night, I've always found them to be most pleasant. For the most part they seem to exude a very peaceful, quiet, and serene atmosphere; wonderful for collecting your thoughts and just relaxing.
While attending college a couple years ago, me and a couple friends found ourselves feeling a bit stir crazy after studying for finals one night and decided to get out for a while. We went to a nearby cemetery just to check it out. It was a beautiful night and I suppose the fresh air was getting to use because we started to run about a little bit and horseplay and what not. We stopped for moment to take a break and noticed in particular one grave that we were close to. It sort of just caught my attention really. It was a young boy named David who'd died when he was 6 years old. We paid our respects and continued about our way. When we were ready to leave we got all the way to the car only to realize that none of us could find any of our keys to our rooms or the car. We started to retrace all of our steps and low behold we found them. They were all lined up neatly on David's grave in a perfectly straight line.
I have no doubt that they had fallen out of pockets while we were frolicking around but to find them perfectly lined up on David's grave was amazing and could not be coincidence. I like to think he was joining in the fun and playing with us.

Aww that's a cute story. 3nodding I usually feel the same way about cemeteries, though some have given off negative vibes just as any place can sometimes.

Ouuu here's something that gave me goosebumps pertaining to the event I mentioned earlier with David....
I recently had my mentor come visit me and were sitting around just talking and I mentioned Gaia and the Guild and went through some of these posts. Just a little background info, she had gone to college here as well.
Anyway, I was then explaining the whole story about the cemetery and what not and as I was explaining she had this look on her face like, " Holy @#$%" I asked her what she was thinking and she said she'd tell me after I was done and to go ahead and continue telling the rest of it.
Afterward, she explained that she and her friends would visit the same cemetery and actually SEE a little boy playing about one moment then he'd just disappear.
Now I really want to go back for a visit and see if perhaps I might actually see him.
