Sidas made a left turn at a three-way intersection as he entered the Middle Ring. He looked at the worn sign, advertising in rusting letters, The Golden Sparrow. He chuckled to himself. This teashop may be run down and older, but their tea exceeded even some that Sidas had drank in the Royal Tea House at the King's palace. He moved quickly to hold open the door for the female general behind him.

Sidas followed behind her, hand on the small bag on his hip. He sighed. "Well, just find a table. I'll be heading to the lavatory so that I can wash this muck off of my face and change into more comfortable clothing." He said, pulling a finger down his cheek to show the darker, underneath skin. He chuckled. "And this clothing is just a tad bit uncomfortable. When the waitress arrives, tell her my name and just say I'd like the usual." He said before disappearing into a doorway at the back.

General Sidas Cian exited the lavatory wearing a dark green tunic with pant legs that were tucked into boots. His black hair was down now, and his face was much more tan than it had been before due to the removal of his makeup. The two scars on his face, one on his cheek, and the other on his forehead, were now clearly showing on his face. He reached the table as the waitress returned with their cups. Sidas smiled in return and gave a word of thanks as she left, and sat down to drink the tea. "Green Tea?" He asked her, setting down his own cup of Peppermint.

"No, no. ...Well, I should hope not." he teased. "But I'm not personally one for Green Tea, although I do enjoy some of the other 'Colour Teas'." He was referring to the teas that people had named after colours, such as Grey Tea and the like. "My tastes are more toward a bit of spice." He took another sip of his tea and then pointed at her again. "What have you been up to lately?"

"And drinking that tea makes being a general is any less dangerous?" Sidas asked with a chuckle. Even with such a healthy drink, one could die from an assassin's blade or in battle moments later. He sighed and smiled, the edges of his mouth just barely giving his lips the 'smiling' shape. "So, how many birds have you two in the Sanctuary?" he asked. "And what were you planning on doing with them? My memory seems to be failing in my old age." He chuckled again, knowing that he wasn't that old. However, that didn't stop him from feeling older.

"More than five hundred?" Sidas raised an eyebrow. "How big, exactly, is this sanctuary?" He asked suspiciously. "And in which ring?" The upper ring could hold that easily, but the others, with the exception of the Agrarian Zone, might find five hundred species a tight fit. She never mentioned how much of each species, and that was the big problem.

Sidas tapped his chin with a thoughtful finger as another waitress passed by the table, carrying food for a couple at a booth not far away. "Well, I can offer a rather large space in my house." He said, referring to the house in the upper Ring. "The gods know I certainly never go into half of those rooms. I never can understand why people need so much space!" He said, exasperated. "Especially when they use the space to fill it up with nonsense. Most of my rooms haven't actually been touched since then, and you're welcome to use them." He said to her. It was true, too. He lived quite alone, and he tried to keep his servants away from the house, preferring to instead live alone and enjoy the quiet of the place. His only weakness was good food, and that he could get down in the other Rings.
