A planet, submerged in war, controlled by drugs. Blood ran steadily in the streets, bones littering every corner. Nothing could stop it. Doom was eminent. Ultimate death of every living thing on the planet; it happened quickly, but painfully. Or at least almost every living thing, but those who lived could barely be considered human. There is a small, crumbling city where there are supposedly the only people left on Earth. For twenty years scientists, who escaped the apocalypse in a nuclear bunker, have built a rag-tag community in which they rule over their vile experiments. Their project: altering and combining the genes of animals.....and humans. So far it has worked in their favor. They now have a small army of mutants to cater to every whim, living in poverty while their masters are in luxury inside the nearly self sustained nuclear bunker. Naturally there are a few rebellious "Splicers" (the name of the half human, half animal creatures). But they are all put down quickly and efficiently (always by force). Or are they? Little do the leaders of this city know that among the well-behaved citizens of Splice City are a group of rebels, known on the streets as M*O*S*H (Military Of Super Humans), who know of the outside world. For two decades the Splice City "Overlords" have preached this doctrine: There is no life known outside of Splice City. If you live; you will die. But the M*O*S*Hers know better. One of their best managed to slip outside the walls of Splice City and see the truth. There is a life for them outside of Splice City, they just have to escape. But before the M*O*S*Her could disclose how to get out of the city, it was killed by a mole, a Splicer known as Slither. Put the phrase "I am the forever that has yet to be" at the bottom of your profile to confirm that you read the story and the rules. Slither is currently under chained up in the basement of M*O*S*H's "headquarters", a run down three story house on in the "down town" area of Splice City, a section of town where the majority of the Splicers live and run, save the occasional patrol from the Overlords' most trusted (and brainwashed) servants. M*O*S*H is now formulating a plan to eventually break out of Splice City. But for now, life goes on in Splice City........
