His Tattoos are unlike any other Monk. He has asked that instead of the customary blue arrow, Pein has 'Tribal' tattoos swirling across his shoulders, back, and ending on each pectoral. The black swirls creep up the back of his neck, below the skull base.

Biography:
1-3: Virat was born on the fourteenth day of the second month. His mother loved him greatly, and the mush of flesh loved her back. For the first three years of his life his family cared for him, and saw that he had the power to bend air. It wasn't a conscious power, nor was it a strong force...at first. But this act was noticed, and they soon went into hiding.
3-5: The mother and father of this now 3-year-old Air Bender, ran from town to town. Nisha Kyramishu adored her son, even if he sometimes made life swirl. But Sagar loved his son more. He was always watching his boy. And at age 5 his reason became clear.
The Day of Terror: In a small village near the Great City of Ba Sing Se, one of their Neighbors had called for guards, because of odd 'disturbances.' These were of course Virat's uncontrolled bending. The guards were Fire Nation, who had been part of the ancient regime, a colt that followed the ancient ways to over throw the Avatar. Unfortunately they were one step short in the Cycle, and tried to kill off an Air bender instead of a Water bender. Virat watched as his Mother was tied down to a table, and torched from her head to her ankles, with fire so soft that it could've killed him by watching. His father had been set aflame and his home was burned down. Virat survived because he had been hiding. Afterwards he had become silent...
A new Upbringing ages 6-8 After a year of, running, thieving, practice, and survival Virat became an amateur Air Bender. His abilities more focused, and in an understanding of the air around him. He had worked his way north, not knowing about Ba Sing Se's safety. The seven-year-old was found by Monks, who listened to his story, without him speaking. They taught him of Morals, that everything is in debt to the universe, and that the universe binds all life together."The pain you felt is the greater than any a child should." He was told...
Vengeance(Ages 10-15): No child should know the pain he went through. Virat remembered these words, because after 3 years of training, and teachings, Virat had become an apprentice. A Monk earns his tattoos by how long he could meditate. He had rescieved his, at age 14, but refused to have an arrow. Instead he grew his hair into a Mohawk, with the tip acting as an arrow. His Tattoos are unique to himself...(See Tattoos up there^) After this he set out on his own, to 'find himself.' This was common for all Air Nomads of the North, but Virat left his teachings behind. A new flame in his eyes.
Executioner(Ages 15-16):Over the course of a year Pein hunted the 7 soldiers who had slain his family. And with the 7 fell 20, because of their 'loyalty.' True his intentions were not to frighten them, no, he hated them, and each died, and their presence was swept away with them. If the monks could see what he had become they would feel ashamed, and Virat knew this, and he felt it too...but Pein had left the ways of the monks, and now saw the effects of his actions...
Peace Maker(Age 16-Now): Pein killed all that had killed him. All that had made him suffer. All that had shown him pain. And he had only the scar on his stomach to show for it. Pein did not feel the same as the Monks, but shared many of the belief. But in his years of fighting, he had brought peace to villages. Fire Nation troops retreated from strongholds, because they heard whispers of 'the Peace Maker.' The only rival was the Avatar, who by now had mastered Earth Bending. But this was not a matter of alarm to Pein, because although war was brought up by his doings, peace was the end result. The world now was capable of knowing peace, but only through pain. At age 18 he became a Monk of the Southern Air Temple but he keeps his beliefs from his people. Too Much Pain, only leads to suffering.

As the Thirty-third Trial Pein created an airbending style, bye refining the Air Blade:
`Pein has made a 'secondary' bending in Air. Using an air bending form, Pein focuses the air being bent into a consentrated form, in which he can erode materials. He does not use this bending unless against formitable enemies, because it drains him. The bending requires enough focus to keep a steady flow of air, that is thin enough to drill at the substance. But once the enitial bending is finished, his body needs a 4.57 second cool-down. The air being bent is a translucent blue, almost like water.
`Pein's most memorable fight was when 4 Fire Nation Hand-to-Hand speacialists attacked him, 2 of them Fire Benders.
`Pein's technique can rival with swords, and is told to give off sparks, if clashed with metal.
`The Shaft is a black 157 Stainless Steel. Straight, and stands at 7 ft. The wings spread to 5'6" each, and have black sails, with holes in them. If clse enough, the shaft has gold, and silver decor that spins and spirals. But if held upside down the Characters read: 'Even when fate is already written, there's always time to change the names.'
