finally got it so that our trash can is hardly ever filled up all the way by trash day and the recycling can (same size as the trash can) always has more in it than the trash can
still need to work on reusing plastic bottles for more stuff and using less crap but we are making progress.
i have started using some of the plastic bottles to hold my fertalizers. and i used the tops of nearly every bottle we use as new food dishes for my crested geckos
