 Ember Island is a small resort located in the outer islands of the Fire Nation. It is home to many luxurious resorts and vacation homes for the wealthy and powerful. The beaches are among the most popular in the country, and host many popular Kuai Ball games. The island is less known as being the home of Ta Min, Roku's wife, during the last years of her life.

Mizuki Izumi was walking along the sandy beach of Ember Island all alone. The sun was just setting, and the sight was beautiful. Mizuki was by herself and was getting quite lonely.

The small boat landed in one of the island's ports late at night. Kikio yawned and rubbed her eyes as her hawk rested on her shoulder.

Colonel Luo Agagisan jumped down from the boat onto the dark sand. "Ember Island. One of the Fire Nation's most famous resorts. A lot of rich families live here. Alright, how should we spend the night? I'll go get us a hotel room." He rushed to a four-story red-roofed building with a bag of Fire Nation coins.

Kikio yawned again slightly, covering her mouth. Three days without any sleep wasn't a good thing. The hawk, Night, flew off her shoulder and went after Luo curiously.

"One first-class room, please," Luo told the hotel guy while placing a few golden coins on the table. He signed in as 'Lieutenant Tang Huo'. He then signed in Kikio as his wife, Prince Jet as his brother, and Ria as his cousin. He grabbed the Room Key, which was 17, and ran back to Kikio. "I got the room!" The hawk landed on Luo's head and the cat jumped on top of his shoulder. "Do animals love me or something?"

"More like he wants to make sure if you're good or not. He doesn't trust anyone but me." Kikio replied, stretching. The ships anchor dropped into the water as Night flew back and landed on her shoulder. "Good, now I can get some sleep."

Luo shrugged. "Address me as Tang Huo, your husband. Ah, sorry, I couldn't think we could pass as siblings. We look nothing alike."
He turned and walked back to the hotel. He entered the hotel room and sat down on the floor. "The bed's reserved for Prince Jet. Find a corner and sleep on the floor," he told Kikio.

"Fine by me." She said as she sat in the farthest corner of the room, her hawk next to her. She brought her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, placing her forehead on her knees. She sighed softly.

Luo glanced at Kikio. He opened his mouth to say something, but decided not to and took out a book from a nearby bookshelf to read. He was disturbed by Kikio, as he though of himself as the leader of the pack. "What's wrong? Worried about Prince Jet?"

"Nothing." She said simply. Her hawk curled up closer to her and stared at Luo, but it wasn't a glare but just a curious stare.

Luo sighed and went back to his reading. Without looking away from the book, he assured Kikio, "Don't worry, Jet will be fine. I'm sure legends of General Pao Nao are exaggerated. Go to sleep."

She rolled her eyes, "That's not what I'm worried about. Whatever..." She yawned again and slowly fell asleep in that position. The hawk soon fell asleep not long after.

Luo sighed and shook his head. "Women are strange," he whispered to himself and his cat. Luo discarded his Fire Nation armor and sword, revealing his red robe underneath. He read the official biography of Fire Lord Pao Nao. "What a disgrace... he killed his own family, betrayed his own country, and now he's the Fire Lord. He wants to stop the war? Pathetic. Unfit to be a Fire Lord."
