Wulong Forest is a forest that lies on the coast of the western regions of the Earth Kingdom. It is notable for the hundreds of rock columns that tower over the landscape.

Wulong Forest was the site of the Battle at Wulong Forest. Much of the forest was burned and destroyed by Ozai and his Firebenders during the first wave of their attacks on the Earth Kingdom. Despite the ferocity of Ozai's attack, Aang and his friends defeated him and his army, and Aang used the Avatar State to extinguish the massive forest fire with Waterbending, thus saving the remainder of the forest.

Kailee just got off when the ground when Ria pushed her back into the boat. She was really growing tired of this. She just grimaced and pushed her hands off her, "I'm going, I'm going,"she said stubbornly. She got in the boat, shivered a little bit since it was made of ice, and sat on her small bed of rock. "So, why are you dragging me along to the Fire Palace and such in a rush?" she asked as the waves we rocking her. She still didn't like being away from rock at all, especially when she's on a boat made of ice. Atleast she had her chunk of rock to keep her afloat and she can bend some to make a small boat.

Colonel Luo opened his eyes, having slept all afternoon. "We're here. Wulong Forest. After the Waterbender and Prince Jet wake up, we'll destroy this boat to throw bounty hunters off track." He got up and walked to the flagpole, slowly lowering the Fire Nation flag. "That's an order from an outlaw colonel from the Fire Nation. I know its your brother's boat, but we're quite desperate."

Colonel Luo smirked teasingly. "You mean sleeping in the boat isn't enough? I guess that's what one would expect from a spoiled Royal Guard." He sighed and jumped off the boat onto the beach. He squinted at the large karst rock structures, which blocked the setting sun. "I'll stand guard. You sleep. I'll be practicing Firebending, so don't be frightened by the fire." He put on his Fire Nation armor and strolled along the beach, always in sight of the boat. Occasionally he would punch fire at the sand and somersault fire.

After a few minutes, Luo stopped practicing and walked to where Kikio was. He sat down next to her and watched the boat. He glanced at her. "I'm supposed to protect everyone, including you. Sorry if what I said before was mean..." He sighed and covered his face with his palm. "Are you sure Prince Jet would agree to this? Running away from the Fire Nation and becoming a fugitive heading to Ba Sing Se. It's my ambition to go to the Earth Kingdom capital, but for Prince Jet... doesn't he want to claim his throne?"

Luo kept his eyes on the boat. "Just to clarify, Prince-- or rather Jet, is 17 years old. Although I am 3 years older than him and you're 10 years older than him, his firebending is more powerful than both yours and mine. Although I don't know who we're up against, I'm sure if he isn't Royal Family, he wouldn't stand a chance against Jet." He sighed. "But then again, there are thousands of soldiers in the Fire Nation. We wouldn't stand a chance." He glanced at Kikio. "Speaking of which, why did you join the Fire Nation military in the first place?"

"Woah!" Luo fell down from the tree and somersaulted to his feet. "Sorry, I must have misread your file in the academy. I thought it was strange a 24-year-old would join the military." He got back on the tree branch and dusted off the dirt on his armor. "Your brothers? Were they that annoying to you?"
