((Well, not sure which way the time difference goes with the majority but it's quarter to 2pm here so I'll just post up :3 I also wasn't sure of the times so being far north, and immortal lands I thought Night time would be suitable smile ))
The cold empty halls of the Palace echoed loudly as Jack marched imposingly towards the outer walls. He had been ordered to back up the palace guards and take position in one of the outer walls guard houses, not something he felt like doing as it was a great waste of his attention. But an order was an order so his large stature kept of moving, his heavy boots clinking and thumping loudly has he went accompanied with wisps of black 'residue' lightly escaping from the joints in the plate metal with every step. "What a waste of my time. I hope there is a reason for it. Dragging me back from my travels for conscription..." Jack thought to himself as he turned a corner and out into the black night that fell upon the court yard, his red 'eyes' glowing harshly through the crisp mist that filled the air, each step like a sledge hammer dropping on concrete...

"You've got a talent for being subtle eh?" Lief said as he saw Jack. He decided to meet one of the other warriors, try to make some friends. "Must say, I've met a guy who was pretty intimitating like yourself. Was from a nation off of an island, was called a fear soldier. They were great for scaring the crap out of the enemy, even better at fighting them. What say you? What travels have you known?" he asked in a relaxed tone. Out of habit, he was rolling to orbs in his hands, using them as meditation orbs.

Rouge stepped out from the connecting hallway where she had listened in on their rather boring chit chat. She rolled her eyes skyward and placed her staff on the floor in front of her, her witch's hat tilted on her delicate head. "What's Jack doing back? I thought you were off exploring the world." Rouge smirked and sat down on one of the waiting benches, her icy eyes twinkling curiously. It would be fun to fight with him again on the fields, although he was rather frightening to be around Rouge wasn't the squeemish pathetic type like her cousins. She clicked her hands on the staff watching the stone at the top swirl in different colours. Rouge was bored, her parents were off some where, well anywhere was better then with her seductress cousins.

Slowing his strides, Jack stopped when he was addressed by Lief. He didn't like Lief, in fact Jack didn't really like anyone, that's just who he was, but then again Lief had done nothing wrong by talking to him so there wasn't much else to do but comment back, after all they were in the same war force. "Being subtle is for cowards. I have no need for subtleness if I can defeat my opponent as they insignificantly try to react." He replied with his unnatural voice. Turning to face the shorter man, Jack let the comment about being intimidating slide, there was no need to answer it and even if he wanted to he was already interrupted by Rouge, her witches hat sitting at that annoying jaunty angle again. "I was called back. Conscription for something. I didn't ask questions... My 'exploring' was beginning to get repetitive anyway, one village, one slaughter, next village, next slaughter. One member of each family at a time." He said with an echoing rattle of a voice that seemed to come from everywhere at once. For someone who didn't enjoy pleasant company Jack sure felt like he was gathering a crowd as the arrival of the dragon seemed to signify that it was his time to move on, he particularly hated that dragon, he hated it enough to not even try to know it's name. It was only a dragon after all, nothing more than a beast. "Now, if you will excuse me I have a guard house to babysit." He announced before starting again on his march to the outer walls, his heavy footsteps rebounding off the walls as he went.

Lief merely laughed at Jack's response. "Well, in your case, I'm sure that style works best, but remember, we're immortal, not unstopable." He watched Jack leave and smirked. "Now there's a man who is solid to his own integrity, gotta respect him" he said, using a bit of his dream magic to slightly magnify his voice, enough to make it echo to Jack. He could feel Jack's hate towards him, but he liked Jack's personality. It reminded him of Corric, the Oracle of Consiousness. Corric was always damn steed strong in who he was and his duty. Him and Jack were people who demanded respect from their own presence, and Lief always respected those type of people.
He looked over at Rouge, trying a little bit to pry into her personality, see if he could feel anything she could feel. Though he thought words were probably best. She seemed a little more in the mood to talk. Eventually, Lief got bored and decided to go to the guard's training room. Lief drew his own sword and began practice at once. He was always a natural swordsman, yet his sword style wasn't by the book. He wasn't above below the waist strikes or blinding an opponent. He loved war for different reasons. He hated the fact war, or fighting, would bring out dominance in the personality of people, as if trying to prove their power. What he loved from fighting was the bond others would share. The gathering of others for a cause, friendships that would be formed from combat, the art that could flow from two swords or axes or any weapon clinging together. His speed was unnatural, he had trained with Ezra on sword fighting. He never used any of his magic when sword fighting unless he needed it desperately. Well, that was mostly true. He used his empathic ability to bond with the opponent, learning who they were, how their flow of battle went. It gave him an advantage, being able to sense out the intent of others. If his speed was unnatural, his control was superstitious. Each swing flowed into another, Boulders Crashing into Falling Towers followed by Kirin's Waterfall.

[[Please don't post pictures, just use words. lol, sorry a little pet peeve. I know your a literate RPer, I just mostly find that with illiterate. And saying illiterate is being polite. wink ]] Rouge rolled her eyes at the boys attitudes and wiped her cheek in disgust. "Boys. I swear after a hundred years they don't get any more interesting." She smiled at the dragon. "Humanoid boys I mean. Come on Braag lets go to the dining hall." Rouge's boots clicked along the polished icy surface of the immortal palace. She knew that everyone took their immortality much to lightly. Although they couldn't die a natural death, murder still seemed to work rather well. She remembered being on the battlefield when poor King Harris was killed, 20 years ago maybe. But that sure left something in your mind. She went into the kitchen were servants were busy cooking and grabbed a glass of wine with a plate of fruit and dark turkey meat. She grinned over at Braag. I wonder what dragons eat. She thought to herself.

Braag followed Rogue to the kitchen and looked around, he saw some large boar meat and said "i will be taking a few of these" and grabbed 3 large boar carcass' and saying "hop on Rogue i know a perfect place to eat" he said opening one wing to let her on. rogue was one of the few who knew Braags name, he only told his name to those who he felt were worthy to know it as he folded his wing back up once Rogue had finished getting her food and drink. he soard into the air and landing in his nest high up in the towers, "you can see the whole kingdom from here rogue not to mention it has a nice view of the sky" he said looking up examining the stars.

Lief had grown tired of practicing. He wanted to something else. He checked the time and smiled. It was night, the time when he was at his best. He sheathed his sword and put a hand out in the thin air. He closed his eyes, listening around him. "The children sleep, mothers and daughters tucked in their sheets, fathers and sons waiting for the morning run. Now, it is night, so everyone keep your eyes shut tight, for the sandman is here, to show you your dreams and your fears" he sung softly as a lulaby. The night sky stretched down to him, the stars dancing around him. His skin first turned as the night sky, his eyes dilating, his face turning pale as the moon, his hair taking in the night colors. He began to dissolve into dust, drifting into the air. The sky stretched back to itself, Lief was already wondering the dream realm.

Rouge leaned on the old dragon's back as he took them up into the sky. It was much quieter and much easier to concentrate on her thoughts then it had been while in the palace. Too much ice and stone, too much misery. It was good to be where the stars were. "Your lucky you can fly with wings. I need my broom to do anything." She smiled and munched on her meal. [[sorry for the short post, I'm in a rush today. Yoga, groceries, friends surprise going away party then pool at a sports bar then work tomorrow.... YIKES!]]

After the episode in the forest, Atmadja made her way wearily back to the palace where her domain was. She felt so sick with the elemental balance churning within herself, that she hadn't even thought of cloaking her scales to match the night sky around her, although her silver scales still looked like stars as she flew over the towers of the main palace. Her massive wings carried her over the palace walls and into the main of it as she landed wearily. She walked slowly along the large walkways of the main palace, not even having the strength to fold back her wings. Atmadja managed to make it back to her dwelling as she crept inside, having to fold back her wings now. Steadily, she made her way into her home, storing her pouch that held the herbs she collected, before her slim persona curled up in her nest. Her breathing was heavy as she tried to focus on her emotions, but Ezra's feelings still held in her mind when she tried to connect with him. She wasn't tired in the least, not wanting to fall asleep even with the fear of not waking up, but Atmadja lay there in her nest, trying to calm the balance inside herself.

Braag chuckled at Rogues adoration of him being a dragon and nuzzled her saying "we were all born for a purpose my dear, that is what the gods wanted for each of us to learn" he said watching Atmadja return back. he shook his head and reached out his mind to the young dragon, feeling the elements inside her war. well then my dear young dragon, what have you gotten yourself into this time? Braag said imposing his power on her elements and calming them down enough to let her relax. Braag knew better then to tamper with the power he just used but it was for someone he cared more about then even the young ones, even though the other dragon was also young. what got you into the state you are in now hm? he said chuckling a bit at her frustration of his power.

Atmadja laid there in her nest, trying to steady her breathing with the elemental balance tottering between stable and not so. However, as she tried to concentrate on other things, she heard a voice that sounded rather familure in her state of being. With the voice as she tried to listen, she felt something come over her, a sort of power if anything, calming the balance inside of her. With the sudden wave of balance, she slowly opened her deep black eyes, trying to find the connection that was speaking to her. She recognized the voice, from somewhere, but couldn't quite place it. It almost seemed to be from a fond memory, but she was still a little uncomprehensive. "There was a slight quarell in the forest as I was collecting herbs. There were a few there, and they were fighting. I was trying to calm one of them down, and in trying to connect with their mind, their feelings were transferred to me, anguish and distress," she explained quietly, hoping she had reached the connection that saved her.

to connect with those that are unwilling to be calmed is a dangerous thing my young dragon, the beings in the lands of the immortals are much more violent and strong then those within the mortal lands Braag answered back calmly but compassionetly. he adjusted himself just enough to give rogue plenty of room to sprall out among his nest and felt the younger dragon somewhat wonder who he was, he looked up at the skys and said to Atmadja i am one of your race, one of the few still alive, you probobly do not know what i look like because i rarely ever appear down on the ground braag said taking a likeing to the other dragons curiosity.
