The ride in the back of the truck wasn't pleasant at all. They hit almost every pothole in the road from what it felt like. Every time the truck came to a stop, the shape shifter hoped that they were there, and almost every time he was disappointed to learn it wasn't. That is, until they pulled up to the mansion, and a big burly guy walked into the back of the truck and opened his cage. "C'mon." He said before pulling Alian from the truck by his arms. Alian was pulled onto the road in front of the mansion, the big, burly man leading him along the way. They walked up the first staircase, the burly man taking a small break at the top before half-dragging Alian up the second flight. As he was being manhandled, Alian couldn't help but look at the lush plant life around the mansion. He wondered who the gardener was, and then he wondered if that would be his job as well. He didn't know anything about the woman who would own him. Nothing at all. The door was taller than Alian himself, but he wasn't surprised by that, most mansion doors were known to be marvelous creations in themselves, and these were no different. He looked up at them, wondering if he could reach the top without trying to fly. He wouldn't get the chance to try, with the way that man was holding him by the arm. It annoyed Alian that they assumed every slave would try to run away. He had no where to runaway to. The burly man knocked on the door, using the door knocker and then waited for whoever to let them into the mansion.

Belle was in her basement, trying to do some paperwork, as she heard the knock on the door. She moved rather quickly to clean it up, and ended giving up and sliding it all in a door. She looked through the window, from the basement and opened it seeing the truck. "Open the door and let him in, I'll be up in a few." She said, almost with an Irish accent. She scurried to her desk, finding the keys momentarily. She walked up the steps from the basement, and through the door that lead to the first floor. But, she was hoping that Alian would be so kind to help her with the plant life and watering the garden, as she did the other things. If he would listen, and please her, he would get rewards. If he didn't on the other hand, she had a cell in the basement, and would get left overs instead of an actual meal. She wouldn't be telling him that, though she might just tell him to stay on her good side to stay out of the basement.

The man nodded and opened the front door himself. He pushed Alian in and went to close the door but before it was closed, Alian heard the man said, "Don't try to run off, boy, er'll just catch you again." Then the door closed with a slam. Alian didn't even flinch or think on the man's words. He knew better than to run off. "Well...this is quite a place.." He said to himself quietly as he looked around. He wasn't sure if he should venture farther into the house, so he stood by the door patiently.

Belle saw them, and said, "Guard, you may leave, trust me. I got him under control. If he runs, he'd be on my s**t list." She then continued walking, looking to Alian, smirking softly. She didn't have a job for him to do, she mainly only wanted him to help her with small things and stuff like in the garden. So, once she showed him around and told the rules, she would let him roam the land. But, she noticed the collar and sighed. First, give me the damn keys, you don't need collars. Does he even look like a dog to you?" She asked the guard, putting her hands to her hips, hissing as she said that with the accent still.

The guard handed over the key to Belle, Alian just silently following. He really liked the home and wondered over what work he would be doing. For once, the shape shifter wasn't making noise, even though he had seen a piano in the home, he wasn't sure whether the instrument was for show. Alian lightly touched the collar around his neck that symbolized him as a slave. He then smiled at her question. 'I could...' He thought, but said not a word as it was removed from his neck.

She smirked softly as she heard his thoughts. "Don't even think about it while the guard's around unless you want to be called one..." She thought to him, before adding, "I can read minds..." She sighed as she still saw the guard, and tapped her foot, waiting for him to leave. She hated the guards, especially having mostly mortal slaves, so they'd die and she'd bring in another. She hated doing it, especially since he was the guard that brung the last one.

Alian bit his own tongue as he held in a laugh. He didn't know why he wanted to laugh at being informed that his mistress could read minds. He watched as the guard left the room, leaving him alone with Belle. Alian found himself staring mostly at the floor, instead of looking around. Even though he wasn't in a cage or shackled by any means, he still left like he was being held down. It irritated him only barely, but it kept his eyes downcast, in memory of masters who wouldn't let slaves look up.

Belle smirked softly, telling that Alian had the urge to laugh. "You may laugh now and change if you wish...." She said softly, looking to him. She put a hand under his chin, and raised his head. "You may look around you know...I'm not all that mean....Just stay out of the basement." She said, before adding, "Are you hungry?"

Alian nodded to her rule of staying out of the basement. A pretty simple thing to follow. He smiled to her at her sudden kind nature. It was unusual to him, but he liked it. He blinked at the question. "A little..." He answered in a quieter voice than he meant to.

Belle smirked, looking up to him with her gray eyes. "Well, I need to know what you wish to eat then..." She said softly, looking to him. She was surprised he hasn't realized what she was, or at least the Vampire half, for she already told him she could read minds. So, she just looked up to him, with wonder about him.

He looked thoughtful for a few seconds, honestly having no idea of what he really wanted to eat. He looked at Belle, also wondering about her, more of what she was like as a child, any family relations, the question of what she was didn't really matter to him. "Could I have a plate of spaghetti..?" He asked and tilted his head to the side, as the horns on his head grew small and disappeared completely from his appearance.

Belle read his thoughts, smirking softly. She would wait to tell him later, before going to an intercom system on the wall and saying, "Chef, one plate of spaghetti..." She let go of the button before asking, "Meatballs? And if so, how many?" She needed to know, so the chef could prepare it. Even though she was around a thousand years old, she still failed majorly in culinary skills. Last time she made an attempt at cooking, she nearly burned the manse down.

He shook his head at the question of meatballs. Alian's own culinary skills were adequate, at best. He could make most simple meals, but give him anything to cook that had to do with goose or expensive fish, he couldn't make it to save his life. He found himself feeling uncomfortable all of a sudden, realizing that there was really nothing he could hide. Ever.

She didn't say anything into the intercom system, but insted just looked to him. She could feel what he was thinking and asked, "Would you like to know where everything is, like your bed chambers?" She was slightly old fashioned, growing up in the olden days, barely even knowing how to use a computer or intercom let alone have too much technology. She didn't even grow up with much. So, she just had two TV's, she rarely used and the type of phone that you almost got to hit to work, because it's so old.
