Movie number 1

The Princess Bride

Why is the first movie i post you ask? Because its the best. I cant get on to lovely disney movies until i get past a few of my favorites.

The Princess Bride is a love story of between a "fair maiden" (Robin Wright) and her "farmboy" (Cary Elwes). To be together they have to face many dangers, but in the end everything works out just fine.

The characters in this movie are wonderful. Buttercup is lovely, Westley is hot (Aww i know we all miss that hot Westley, hes let himself go sad ) and the villains are evil. Well Vizzini is hardly evil, he's just conceited and confused (this is where im supposed to say "inconceivable". On a side note, During my favorite veggietales episode someone uses the word "unconceivable" and someone else says "we've found out that unconceivable is a word but inconceivable is more appropriate in this instance" its really funny in context) anyways all villains need sidekicks, and whats better than a bad guy? A reformed bad guy!! (Dude i think i love reformed bad guys . . . and ive been watching too much avatar . .. another day for that). Anyways Inigo and Fezzik are great, thay have that super funny chemistry. There arent really side characters in this movie, everyone is connected and important.

My favorite part of the movie is when Humperdink is tracking Buttercup and he finds the tube of iocane powder. Let me remind you that Westley decribes the powder as "oderless" and yet Humperdink picks its up, sniffs it and declares "Iocane, i'd bet my life in it" Oh that Prince Humperdink, only guy i know that can identify odorless substances by their smell.

Tidbits

~Westley and Buttercup are both is the new Christmas Carol
~Chris Sarandon plays Prince Humperdink, he's also Jack Skellington (Thanks Cat!)
~Cary Elwes is also Garrett in Quest for Camelot
~Cary has many names in this movie: Farmboy, the man in black, the dread pirate Roberts, and of course Westley (yea i know daahhh rolleyes )
~Vizzini only says inconceivable 5 times, it only seems like alot
~ Walace Shawn plays Vizzini, and he's everywhere!! Heres a few examples: The boss in Incredibles (Remind me to do a review of that), The principle in A goofy movie, and Rex in Toy Story

I'm not happy Bob. You know now ive got all my thought on the Incredibles, great

Actually, Despicable Me wasn't that bad. (I thought it would be HORRIBLE) I'd give it 3/5 stars.

But besides that... Sliding doors is good, but you have to really pay attention because there are two storylines going on that have the same exact characters, but in alternate realities. So you have to really listen to understand which you're watching.

Rasing Arizona was weird, but enjoyable. Sorta goofy. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't my favorite. It had some good acting in it, and a bunch of random car chases involving babies. It was funny, and you can goof off while watching it and still understand.

I didn't finish Last Holiday, because it didn't catch my interest. But that's just me. I can be hard to please when it comes to movies.

Oh, and I just read that Princess Bride thing. And I gotta say, I love that movie. And Westley (DAHH rofl ) is AMAZING!!

But I am sad that he's not as hot anymore. cry

And that quote in VeggieTales was awesome. It's too bad VeggieTales isn't good anymore. Have you SEEN the new episodes? They are INSANE and STUPID!!!

My favorites are Inigo and Westley. Humperdink's okay, and actually has a good singing voice. Not in Nightmare, he doesn't sing in that. He has a singing double. He sings in the Nightmare PS2 game, though.

By the way, I'm mad about Bryan White replacing Westley in Quest For Camalot as the singing double. I was looking forward to Westley's melodious voice but NO, they had to bring in a one-hit wonder of country songs! *grumble*

Anyway, this is one of my favorite movies too. Yay!
(And this comment almost had nothing to do with the movie...)

Hmm i'll certainly look into those. if theyre on youtube i can watch them for sure, otherwise i'll have to delete some stuff from my computer so i have room to download them (My computer memory is low, 61 23 minute long episodes of avatar take up alot of space)

Do you own this videogame, youve talked about it before and i'd love to play it biggrin

Well Its possible that the hottness would not translate well into song. But as one-hit wonders go lets just be glad they didnt get billy-ray cyrus. eek

It's terrible. They've even changed the theme song. It made me want to cry.

I do own it! It's a very good game! Mayhaps we can organize a little get-together and you can play it! Though I will admit a bunch of the re-recordings of the songs are icky. Plus they change the lyrics. Though the cool part is that Dr. Finklestein gets his own singing number. rofl

Woohoo!

Oh, and by the way, I am also reading the Hobbit right now. I'm like half-way into it. I just thought that was really coincidental. =D

And I like video games too. Right now I'm re-playing Kingdom Hearts. I'm currently stuck on the Aladdin level. But then, I get stuck almost EVERY level, usually for the dumbest reasons. (this time it's 'cause I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing)

Movie Number 2!!!!

This movie of the day is The Incredibles!!!

I don't even like this movie all that much, and yet, i watch it every time its on TV and can find a quote from it for most situations, i'm not really into superheroes but theres something about this movie that is extremely entertaining. You know who my favorite character is? Syndrome/buddy/indrediboy. He's so funny! (The actor who plays him has the same name as Redpandy's boyfriend) and i love villains, even if he doesnt sing. I also love jackjack, and i really want there to be a sequel!

So yea, this is up for discussion
PostPosted: Thu Sep 23, 2010 7:06 pm

my entire family LOVES The Incredibles! it has a lot more action than normal Pixar movies, but still retains the same Pixar charm, and like their other films, it has a villain that you feel sorry for (although sometimes their films don't have villains to begin with.) I kinda hope that Syndrome lived, if there will be a sequel that is. otherwise, it would be just another superhero series, where they beat new villains every day. I also wonder what happened to Mirage after her lover "died." and does she have any powers of her own?

I really think Nicolas Cage did his best work in Raising Arizona. It's one of my parents favorite movies! lol. I didn't know anyone else knew about it.
