Okay, so here's how this works:
Each week, I'll open up a new poll. It will have two villains, and it's your job to vote which one is best. And to add to the fun of the debate, please tell us what makes that villian best!
After the week is done, the winner of that "battle" will move on to face the next villain! In time, we will discover just who is the best Disney villian!
Also, let's discuss the worst villians! Do you think one of the villians in the poll is a complete loser? Well then, tell us why!

I love both these guys, but I have to say Ratigan. Scar's problem is that he's super evil and interesting at the beginning, but when he becomes king he becomes whiney and a drama queen, completely different from his sophisticated scheming self at the start of the movie.
Ratigan is just constantly funny and evil throughout the movie, he has a lot of build up and he lives up to it, so, Ratigan.

Oooh i have no idea who ratigan is but . . .
Scar is awesome!! I love alot of disney villains, and scar is definitely in my top 5 . . probably. I think he as all it takes to be a good villain. A troubled past, sarcasm, an awesome song, partially successful evil motives (killing mufasa is pretty impressive if you ask me) oh and sidekicks.
You know what i just noticed? Hades doesnt have a song. thats problematic, oh well.

Scar, sure, the other guy is bad, but it takes truely an evil person to kill your own brother for power. Killing family is bad enough.
Plus, Be Prepared is catchy.

I voted for Scar, but now I'm thinking that Cruella De Vil is just as bad. Scar goes a bit crazy with power, and Cruella De Vil tries to kill puppies! gonk

That was hard but i had to choose scar because he killed his own brother then tried to kill Simba and basically killed pride rock too.
(This is terrible ive said "kill" three times.)
But i would have gone for Cruella because she wanted to make a coat out of Dalmations and they are just too beautiful.

I voted for Scar, he's one of my favorite Disney villains and The Lion King is one of my favorite movies :3
Cruella is more entertaining than scary to me...but that's based on my encounters with her at Disneyland

both are very awesome villians but scar is just better. Theres a certain quality that makes a good bad guy and he has it. Cruella just is insane and people sing catchy songs about her , if she doesnt scare you, no evil thing will biggrin

Scar. He pretty much started a genocide on the entire pride of lions. Like they pointed out, when scar took over, the lions began starving, there was no food left, the hyenas were pretty much taking over. To add to it, he killed his own brother, then made Simba feel like it was his fault so he would have no competition for the throne. Even when Simba comes back to kick his butt, he still blames him for his fathers death. Even after Scar dies, he still leaves behind a crazy wife apparently and has it embedded into her brain the Kovu should take over by using Kiara.
Come on, the guy dies and still ends up causing huge problems father down the road. Captain Hook was just an angry old guy who didn't like kids and lost his hand to a Croc.

Yea, scar is bad beyond the grave (Well according to my theory he never died . . .) I feel bad for hook. He's a grown-up in a child's world. The only thing he knows and enjoys is fighting with Peter Pan. He's like Marina Del Ray, likeable but with super lame motives and goals. And so not really that evil.
