I mean, Hivebent is cool and all, but I miss the kids, and seeing what they're up to, you dig? I guess what I'm saying is, I feel Mr.Hussie should hurry up with this little intermission.

Considering the last arc kind of ended as something of a cliffhanger, I kind of feel a bit anxious about what will happen once we return to what's going on with the kids. John's been sent off to who-knows-where, Rose destroyed her First Gate and is flying off to some other part of her world to try to find answers to how their doomed session can be remedied, Dave continued through his First Gate to these 'friendly alligators' Terezi mentioned, and Jade's falling from the top of her house while quite possibly the largest meteor yet is looming above her home, threatening to wipe the entire island off the face of the map unless John can find the Server disk back in the LOWAS area, back at the first gate.

Though I do admit that jumping away from the main story and shedding some light on who the Trolls are and how their session went is kind of enlightening to say the least. At the very least, it's revealed who some of the characters playing behind the scenes really are. The Trolls, Doc Scratch, Lord English...These have all been exposed already, and they kind of give the readers an idea about who to expect, and possibly some ideas about what might happen later in the game. I mean, so far Jack Noir (now Jackspers Noirlcrow) has been assumed to be the main bad guy, but if what this Act is showing us is true, then things might be bigger than they appear to be.

I like how this intermission is giving some flesh to the trolls, instead of these RANDOM BLOCKS OF TEXT GOING AFTER JOHN AND MAKING NO SENSE or Telling John how gr8t of an idea it would 8e to go through the g8t and get ahead.... and then die.

It lets us see that it's not just some emotionless group of people sitting around trying to kill the team-- they ARE trying to help; they just don't know how to help the humans properly.

Also, the troll-romance thing kinda made my brain go "Bwuh huh?" and melt crying

I miss them a lot too, and my fiance and I keep arguing if Jade is dead or not. So I wanna know whats up. And Dave is just so ******** cool, I miss the ******** cool....

yeah, tavros ends up talking to future her, so I'm guessing that Bec makes a Sweet Catch

Troll arc over.

Okay now I'm excited

Quite the bittersweet ending, though.
