To get this guild in gear, I'll start. God gave me the gift of language. I am very good at learning languages. I just can listen, and it starts to click as to what's going on. Reading isn't so hard either because, to me, all the languages connect in some way or another.
Japanese and Spanish have something in common? You bet. They use the same phonics. Just little things like that make it easier.
Writing and speaking are the main ones I have to worry about because I can read, and listen, but me, myself, I do need to learn all the gramatics and vocabulary to talk/write. But, hey, it gets me somewhere.
I am using my gift of language to become a missionary. I want to be a teacher in Japan. It may be illegal to convert or even talk about Christ in schools, but just being there is very effective.
My mother is a Christian, and works in a school, and just through her actions the kids know she's a Christian, and some have even come to her just to say positive stuff about Christianity, ask her to pray (And she does pray a lot for our school, and that is a whole other story), and just fellowship with someone they know who believes in God. She may not be able to out right talk, but she helps these kids with just being a Christian there.
Before she worked at a school, I knew God wanted me to be a teacher, but I wasn't sure how to get the word of God out, without out right talking, but he used my Uhmma to teach me what to do, and say.

I think that's awesome! Perhaps God is preparing you for mission work or something. How exciting. I know a little bit of French and brush up once in awhile. I had some friends from Belgium that were teaching in the magnet schools in Kansas City and when they went back they left me all their teaching materials. I only made a C in college in Spanish though. biggrin biggrin Peace and Blessings

Ah, French. I took a sememster of it. I liked it. I really did, but that was one bumpy road. My teacher was sick, and he wasn't there for more then half of the first semester, and then my school decides instead of replacing him, to get an online program for the second semester. The program wasn't set up until avril, and my friend and I (Because we were the only ones who decided to stay in the afternoon class), did absolutely nothing. We bugged the office people, the principal, the Counselor, and even the school board, to get it going, and after the program was set up, we went through level one and two in two weeks because it was that easy. However, we were never taught the phonetics (They claimed it didn't have audio to it, or something like that.), we can't write for lack of grammar, and it was one big mess. *Sighs* in college I am going to try to learn french again sometime. For now I'm just staying with Spanish and Japanese, but I am going to learn more then just that.
French is a cool language.

And thank you for the prayers. It is greatly appreciated!
