Ok Guys! The Captain and I are thinking of re-creating the Dorm rooms! We have a few ideas, but seeing as we are a guild By the People, For the People (Lol); we want your ideas, options, opinion.
We have a fue ideas, but if any of you guys have a good idea feel free to post them here!!!
Ideas:
1. Every one has their own, personal dorms that they can "decorate" and hang in.
2. We stay in the dorms we have now, but we create "Common rooms" for Boys, one for girls, and one for everyone to just hang out.
3. We can go with #2, but create a Common room for each School, that both boys and girls from your school can hang; and then create one huge Common room for all the schools', for both boys and girls.
4. Or we could just keep it as is it now....
Ok! Uh, that just about it for Hip-hop and I's ideas... Tell us what you like, what you dont like, and your ideas! Thanks for you time, and please feel free to comment!

It's hard to decide between 2 and 3 regarding how the Common rooms are set up, but I like the idea. 4 is also okay since I have no complaints on how the dorms are set up now, but others might have a differing opinion.
I personally don't suggest 1, though, because there will be so many separate dorm rooms that they'll become multiple pages to navigate through in order to find a character's room. Plus, some people might leave the guild, leaving empty rooms that someone might post in believing the person is still active. And if the rooms carry two characters as roommates, this will also become a hassle regarding assigning characters to specific dorms and if one roommate quits the guild. That's why I like the collective "School blah girls" and "School blah boys" dorms since they are simple to place a person's character and there is a higher chance of someone being active in the dorm.
That's just based on past experience as a moderator in a different guild, but if the idea still seems more appealing to others, then I'm okay with it. ^_^

If you ask me, #3 sounds pretty good.
I don't really think that #4 would be that good, because then the whole area will get all cluttered and maybe not that active, either. Whereas, what we have now, would be more active in there because it's more than one person really posting in each spot.

I like #1. And maybe if people want to stay together, they could, but if they want to be alone they can do that too. That way everyone's happy. biggrin

This is an example of #1 from another guild.... It's my dorm. See with #1 you can have your doorm look how ever you want.
Achilla's dorm is a bit dark. There are posters of rock bands hung on the walls, which are painted black and trimmed in white. The curtian on the window is black satin and hangs to the floor, but it is almost always closed. The floors are solid oak, and a huge soft black velvit rug right in the middel of the room. There is one black iron chandeliers, which is restored to be powered by electricity, that hangs in the center of the cealing, and then there is a black iron oil lamp that hangs just next to her bed, but is also now powered by electricity. Her own personal drum set lies in the cornner of the room along with two of her favorite guitars, one black and white, one white and black. There are racks upon rack of CDs on the right wall. And there is a huge sterio in the front cornner by the door, and a flat screen TV hangs on the wall just over the door. A Xbox 360 is hooked up to the TV and the room is equiped with surround sound. A laptop sits on the bed, headphones plugged in. Her Ipods charges next to the laptop, full of rock songs. Achilla's room is kinda dark, so if you a girly girl, stay out. Better yet, everyone should stay out...

Personally, I prefer either 3 or 4. However, for #3, I don't really get it . . . So there's a Common room for your school that includes both boys and girls, another Common room for all of Aurora, and then another for both boys and girls. Doesn't that mean the last two I just mentioned are the same?

I sort of like the diffrent dorms idea. [#1] In another guild I joined, i think it's victorian academy, I have my own dorm, and it's all decorated, but then that would mean a bunch of work on YOUR part by creating and deleting all the posts in the Dorm subforum.

I changed my mind. Ignore my old post. I like the idea of seperate bedrooms, in the same house dorm though. Like with a common room still. Also I think there should be a common room for all the schools to meet up together.

How about this? I don't know if this is already a choice or not but...
1.) We have all the girls in one huge dorm, and all the guys in one huge dorm.
2.) We have all the Death, Storm, Balance and Ice students in one dorm (One for guys and one for girls). And Fire, Life, Light and Myth in one dorm?
3.) We have lists made, where we would have seperate dorms, and you can chose your own roomates? Like no more than, like I don't know, five per dorm and you could stay in a drom room with others, or yourself. Just an idea. (Of course, you would have to make your own topic for it though. Call it what you may
EX. Derrick & Matthew's Dorm
Ella's Sanctum
Etc...)
4.) Leave it as it is now,
5.) Insert other ideas here.
Which one of these?
