I'm thinking of creating a rp revolving around our world an a world that mirrors it. In said Mirror World, monsters are the inhabitants rather than humans. All those reports through history of creatures are taken into account by those who've defied the law, though they've been greatly punished. Its been nearly a century since the last human stepped foot on these grounds. Now a dark, evil, and strange force has begun pulling unexpectant humans into the realm of monsters, for what purpose it unknown.
These humans will find themselves either running or allied with monsters and can very well become one through the rites of that monster's society (example a Vampire bites you, you slowly begin to transform. Not right away, nor are you able to have full vampiric powers, the process is slow, but you are fated to go through it once bitten, same can be said if you get their blood.).

Try not to use too huge fonts please. We know you are excited over your idea, but if the idea is good enough, a reasonable size font will be fine.
I had an idea like that once, but instead, there were magic humans on the other side. If they lost their powers, they were pulled through into the other world, but in return, someone from the other side had to take their place.

beckithewatermage Try not to use too huge fonts please. We know you are excited over your idea, but if the idea is good enough, a reasonable size font will be fine. I had an idea like that once, but instead, there were magic humans on the other side. If they lost their powers, they were pulled through into the other world, but in return, someone from the other side had to take their place. The only reason I used huge font was because this is the third attempt and yes my posts have been up for a bit to let people comment. The best I got was 1 and in such a big guild, thats like a middle finger to my face. stare

It seems like a good start, but i think there should be a more definite plot. Like why are they coming back? what's their goal?

Why are who coming back? The monsters? They never left, think of it this way, when you look into a mirror you see a reflected version of yourself, the Earth also has a reflected version of it's self, where monsters are the inhabitants rather then humans. As for a stronger plot, I'm still asking for help to work that out.

I think it may be best to come up with a definite plot before actually starting the role play. While the setting is indeed appropriate for all sorts of interesting and fantastic stories to take place, there needs to be a foundation for the stories themselves. Being randomly thrusted into an unknown world without the slightest clue on:
A.) Why one is there...
B.) How does one get involved into the overarching plot...
C.) In what way do they find out all these tidbits you've stated of this strange and new world as to establish their understanding of it in-character wise...
...may make it difficult to role play.
Among other things... there might be a need to add a bit more. Leaving it off as a mystery/loose end tends to make some people wander around doing little to nothing due to the fact that they are confused on what exactly they should be doing.
This is, however, just my suggestion.
