For me, it all started with family boardgames. When I had the mental capacity, the mighty Avalon Hill strategy games became the staple. I didn't get into roleplaying until I saw Traveller at the store. The concept appealled to me. Anyhow, that's when it all cascaded into a requirement needed to ensure my continued existence on this planet. D&D, AD&D, Rolemaster, Palladium, Gamma World, Paranoia, Warhammer, BGC, project A-ko, TFOS, Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, Aberrant, Gurps, BESM, Call of Cthulhu.. the list goes on.
My current gaming tastes lean towards Cthulhian horror, post-apocalyptic, space opera, hard sci-fi, and dark super-heroes. I usually always have an epic fantasy game going. I've only got three table-top games running with my weekly gaming group. One is set in Eberron and revolves around House politics in Sharn. Another is a D20 Modern/Future Mesh involving the beginnings of an invasion.
So there you have it. I'm anxious to hear how all of you caught the gaming bug and learning a bit about your tastes. smile
