The Modnar Rp:
I can’t help but notice that as we’re getting our feet on the ground, there’s really not much for people to do. So here is a small endeavor to give people a nice thing to goof around in and ((perhaps)) work on their rping skills. The concept is pretty simple. You’ll see a bunch of lists of various character traits. You’ll spend a couple of posts rolling randomly as the lists tell you, and at the end you’ll have all the basics of a random character.
Put all those random traits together in a profile, fill in any details you think it needs, and post up the finished profile.
That will be your character for the rp.
Setting: I suppose I should have made the setting random also, but I’m rather lazy. Picture a generic fantasy world. Maybe add in some crude matchlock pistols and muskets, but that’s all. And when I say generic, I mean it. Worst of the worst really, I mean, just look at the races I’ve put down . . .
Story: Modnar was a happy world filled with sunshine, joy, and happiness. Then the abominably evil Rekcik Nettik appeared. He comes from a world filled with shadows, sorrow, and hate. He and his legions of minions, the syekcal, now threaten the sunshine, joy, and OH MY GOD I CAN”T WRITE LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!!
So yeah. Modnar. Decent place threatened by some kind of reptilian race (the syekcal) from another dimension. Modnar has had its various wars before, but this one promises to be the worst one yet. Even the races that typically wouldn’t care are chipping in.
Characters:

Other stuff: No rolling here, just put down whatever you think is missing.
What is the whole point of this you ask? I’ll try to explain.
This is really an exercise in leaving your comfort zone, and trying something different than what you might normally pick. It’s also, surprisingly, a bit of an exercise in creativity. You see, the things you roll randomly will hopefully just give you a few nicely fixed points, but there will still be a lot of things unfilled. Guess where you come in?
Anyways, I’ll start up the actual rp thread soon if anyone else seems interested.
