Bobby unlocked his door and wandered over to his bed. He was told to lay down, and take it easy, but he really didn't want to. However, he knew that Dr. McCoy would have no mercy on him if he didn't do as he was told. So, he lay himself, gently, on his bed and flipped on his T.V. to watch some cartoons.
The day was only half over, and he had a feeling that by the end of it, someone was going to need him. Maybe, just maybe, someone would need to talk. He offered a shoulder to cry on to almost everyone, especially the girls, some actually took him up on the offer. Others, not so much. But he didn't mind. Not usually.

Bobby flipped through the channels, trying to find something interesting, yet not anything that would make him laugh. A familiar face appeared on the news as he passed it and quickly went back. The red hair, the scrawny features. Yeah, and they even called her Pyra.
"...a series of wild fires and public bars being set on fire has seemed to stop. It makes us wonder where this Pyra is now hiding. Wherever she is, she remains a threat to the public. If you see her, please do not approach her and do not touch her. Please contact the number on your screen or call your local fire and police departments."
"Wow, so she's still on the run?"
"It appears so, though it's hard to track her when she isn't setting things on fire..."
Bobby's eyes went wide. "She's all over the news," he gasped. That wasn't really a good sign, because wherever she had been, they were obviously still looking for her. The number on the screen was not one that he recognized to be in New York and it wasn't a toll free number either.
Quickly he reached in his pocket and pulled out his cell phone to dial the number. "Nevada," he asked when his phone told him that was the state he would be making the call to. He hesitated and then pushed send.
The phone rang four times before someone picked up. "Superior Studies of Science and Technologies," the woman's voice answered. "How can we help you?"
Bobby hung up. It wasn't information that Kaija had given him, and he wasn't about to let her know that she was on the news. She probably knew. But she was here and her life would soon get better.
He sat stunned, not knowing what to do and he didn't exactly know what the 'Superior Studies of Science and Technologies' was, but it sounded like a laboratory.
"Think, think, think," he muttered as he tired to think of what to do with the information. Xavier probably already knew. But who else knew? Twitch probably did, he watched the news all the time. But who else had bothered to call?

She didn't know where she wanted to go, but her feet carried her to a stop in front of a specific door. She looked at the door for what seemed like forever. Why are you here? He's probably still down in the kitchen. Your an idiot for going to him. Her minded continued to scold her and put more doubts in her. Jubilee bit her lower lip and raised her hand to the door and knocked twice. Not even Jubilee knew why has had come here of all places to get away from some of the chaos.
While she waited for an answer, she noticed something she failed to notice before knocking. She could hear the slight noise of what sounded like a t.v.

Bobby was jerked away from his thoughts by the sound of someone knocking at the door. He realized that the T.V. was still on the news which had thankfully switched over to some other uneventful news.
He switched the channel to some family TV show and answered the person behind the door. "It's unlocked," he called out, not really wanting to get up off his bed, now that he was on it. It was quite comfortable.
He sat up and set the remote aside as he waited for the person to open the door and he wondered what show was on. He didn't recognize it. Then again, he normally didn't watch TV at this time, on a school day.

She noticed he was on the bed, then remembered earlier he said something about having to take it easy due to his recent injury. A smile spread on her face. "How's the injury? I'm pretty confident I haven't found the student that you asked me to, though I did manage to find some others that were interesting enough." She debated on telling him about how she had accidentally burned Trista.
Jubilee read his face as she contemplated her own issues. She noticed that something wasn't quite right with Bobby.

Bobby watched the door open and Jubilee walk in. He offered her a smile though it was clear that something was weighing heavily on his mind.
"The injury," he asked, as if he had forgotten about it. "Uh, well, it's great as long as no monkeys think I'm the bed and I don't laugh," he admitted. He smiled at his own joke about the monkeys and moved his legs to where he was sitting cross-legged at the head of his bed. The remote by his side. He muted the T.V., sensing that Jubilee wanted to do more than just see how he was doing. Something was weighing on her mind as well.
"Kaija...she's right across the hall, and about four doors down," he told her. "But she's not exactly in a very social mood," he continued with a hint of warning in his voice.
The blond-headed surfer looked down at his hands, his right hand still held his cellphone. He looked at it as if it held a secret that he wished he hadn't known and then set it aside, next to the remote. Now that he knew part of a secret of the red head's he didn't know what to do with it. He didn't even know what 'it' was, exactly.
"Is everything alright," he asked with genuine concern.

≎≎≎≎≎≎ღ ʝϑɓɩʅɑɬɨѳȵ ʅҽҽ / ʝϑɓɩʅҽҽ ღ≎≎≎≎≎≎ Jubilee laughed softly at his joke and it made her relax a bit more. As for Kaija, she had a feeling she wasn't very social especially since she injured an X-Men. "Is she roomed alone or with someone else?" This was a bit important since Jubilee wanted to know if she had to deal with just one non-social rampaging student or possibly two. When people made real friends here, most of the time they were attached at the hip for the rest of the time being. She pondered it a bit more, considering even the possibility that this Kaija has even made a friend yet.
Jubilee shook her head slightly to re-align her thoughts. She noticed Bobby's cell next to him by the remote. "Hmmm? Oh yeah...I guess everything is alright. I mean it could be worse." Thoughts of her possibly losing her control over the natural protection that her mind gave her sent a slight shiver down her spine. "I uh, I had a slight lapse of better judgement a while ago. Apparently even hearing the word 'Brotherhood' sends me rampaging." She smiled dryly at her own comment while she took a seat on the floor next to the bed facing Bobby.

Bobby smiled when Jubilee laughed, he liked it when people were happy. "I saw another girl in there with her, but she seemed pretty nice, so I don't think it's going to be such a huge problem. Well, other than Kaija..."
Bobby let his voice trail off and his eyes wandered to his cell phone for a second. "I doubt she's made any friends, I don't even think she cares if she has any," he said with a sigh.
"Ah, I see," Bobby said with a nod, in response to Jubilee's admitting a possible mistake. Then he watched as she took a seat on the floor. "You can sit on the bed," he said as he motioned at the opposite end of the bed that he was on. It was only an offer, he wouldn't push it.
"We all have things that get to us," Bobby said, trying to bring some comfort to Jubilee. "It's perfectly okay when we make mistakes, but I'm glad that you got a hold on yourself," he continued.
((I'm going to be gone for a few days, taking Kaija to a cabin with a few friends. We do it every year around this time and there is no internet there. So we will both be back in ten days. Take care))
