A large balcony where the Gods can look out. Near the gardens, it was used as the infirmary during the second Titan War. Two marble seats sit, allowing gods to talk privately.

Hermes was having some trouble. His blond haired daughter, the pride and joy of his godly children, was crying her face off. Aphrodite was nowhere to be seen, no surprise there, leaving the awkward dad to help things. "I'm sure the three half-bloods will find it, Tyche," Hermes said, sitting beside Tyche. Unlike usual, he was dressed up in a suit, his salt and pepper hair done up. He bit his lip, as he heard his daughter cry out complaints. For one, he had bended the rules a little bit. He had made sure Chiron chose his son, Nik, to be in the quest, and made the others make him the leader. That would be the only way that Tyche would have some hope. He felt the uncanny feeling that came to him once a half-blood was on Olympus, but it was familiar. Maybe his son was here, talking to the other gods. Yet, unless Aphrodite took her family shift(which she hadn't, yet) he would have to stay with Hermes. Personally, he was feeling pretty bad. If he hadn't gone off about how she couldn't date Triton, she would haven't had gone to the mortal world, and the thief wouldn't have stolen her rudder. Unfortunately, it happened, and guilt washed over Hermes.

He patted her shoulder awkwardly, before he adjusted his glasses that had been sliding down his nose. "Honey, Nik is here, on Olympus. Don't you want to go see him?"he asked, a glimmer of hope in his voice. She answered with sobs, making Hermes sigh. He knew he was only making Iris' job worse than it really was, as she was being the herald of the gods for the time being. Before, she only handled Zeus and Hera's personal jobs, but now she had to deal with each and every deity, and monster for that matter. She looked so clammy after she first returned from the Underworld, Cerberus slobber all over her usually glimmering dress. Hermes sighed, laying his hand on Tyche's shoulder. From the mortal world, he could see the well known Eris running amok. This wasn't helping Tyche, her reputation getting lost. And while this was happening, he kept getting texts from Aphrodite.

To:Hermes, babe!
From: Aphrodilicious
Message: I'll be here, soon. I just have to deal with some...
mortal business

He rolled his eyes, knowing she wouldn't come. Hermes still bore the uncanny tingling, as he looked down at the mortal world. He ran his fingers through his daughter's blond hair, before she lifted her head. Her eyes were sunken and looked tired, and Hermes felt pity for her. "Papa, I ruined everything! I shouldn't have fallen for that stupid Triton, but.."she said, before her eyes became wet once more, and she put her head onto the god's shoulder. Tears ran down his newly bought Hermes tux, but he didn't complain. He could easily steal from Hades. "Shush, shush. Let the wave of Melpomene wash away, to reveal the sunshine of Thalia,"he told her, running his hand over her blond hair.

Born of power, grace, and natural good nature - in a way Princess of the Heavens - Daughter of Zeus and Hera, Eileithyia stood at her favorite spot of Mount Olympus, holding her perfectly round, belly tight. There she gazed down onto the other world below, created by fellow gods and goddesses. It sometimes saddened her that she was less well known than her god family, but she didn't dwell on it. Her simple task of life revolved around her assisting her mother, Hera, and Artemis on childbirths around the world, as well as bearing and giving birth to her own children. She didn't have too many children, because her own pregnancies were different than that of humans and fellow goddesses. Her's would last years, not months. At the current time, she was in a pregnancy stage of her forever long life; extremely close to her due date. Being the goddess of child-bearing and child-birth, she would not worry about the birth at all. Still she stayed careful, remembering to never be to far away from her sisters or Mother, in case of early labor; which sometimes happened to goddesses too.

Eileithyia stood and watched the whole world around her, rubbing her swollen belly caringly. It was her first child in many years, and for some reason, probably because she was daughter of Zeus and Hera, no one was out to kill her child like they were to Nike and Poisedon's. She wondered how Nike and Poisedon were doing at the moment. Nike was due any day, so Eileithyia held concern. Mostly, because almost half of all Europe was covered in mist and she couldn't spot either of them anywhere. Stupid mist... she thought. As she thought that her own child kicked her softly, making her smile. She then decided she'd dwelled on others long enough for today, so she went for a small walk around Olympus, before retiring to chambers.

Hermes nearly skipped up to the look out place, he was in a good mood. A mood that would annoy someone for the fun of it or send him doing his job faster, sadly this time it was the job thing. He was working faster than the snakes were, buzzing all the messanges across the world until the snakes could easily keep up with it all. But Martha kept checking that George hadn't let something slip so that they had to get Hermes to do superspeed again, though they both knew that now he'd be restless and travel the world in search of another mortal or something. Any second now... Hermes stayed and watched over the land. George glanced at Martha.

"Hey, er... boss? You gonna go out or something?" George asked, sending another message somewhere. Hermes turned as if he'd been thinking.
"Hey, huh?" He blinked "Oh, right. Nah, I'm gonna think a bit. Claim a kid or two, check up on them, the usual."
"Check up on them?" Martha sent 3 messages in one easily "So, you watching that kid getting smashed by an Ares kid?"
"No and there's nothing I can really do, I'm claiming more than checking up on them. Why are you questioning me, Martha?" He stayed calm and fairly happy but it was wavering.
"Sorry, I'll leave you to claim and think." Martha sent a few more messages and then she and George murmured to each other.
"Can I have a rat?"
"NO." Hermes and Martha cried in union.
"Just askin'." George muttered.

Hermes looked over Olympus and wondered, thinking about all the kids he'd claimed. How were they? Had they done anything cool?
The smell of food wafted over him and he smiled. Offerings to the gods, they must be eating. More and more food sents swirled him and George asked for another rat. Hermes chuckled and stretched as cookies reached him, he loved the smell of cookies. Hermes sighed and smiled, his kids were awesome and he wanted to do something for them, but he really couldn't be bothered right then. He'd get back to it later if he remembered and anyway, he needed a reason for giving his kid a gift or something. He'd just have to wait for them to go on a quest.

A thought popped into the Gods head. He hadn't thought about it for a while and thinking about now made his good mood disappear. He was thinking about Luke's mother, who was now in old age, and how she was still mad and still thinking that her darling son Luke was coming home soon. She had recently turned ill, it could be treated by Apollo easily but he didn't want to rely on his help. Humans found it harder to help them, especially in old age. The most likely thing to happen would be that she died, poor soul. Hermes had visited her last week. He could remember her every word, but then again it had only been a week. The illness has helped her sanity slightly, but she still beleived that Luke was going to come to her one day.

"The Nurses say I'm going to die." She took a shaky breath before continuing
"When's Luke coming to see me?" Her fragile voice asked, tired and worn.
"You might be going to see him, darling. Don't worry, it'll be ok." He remembered thinking about talking to Hades to try and get her where she belonged, with Luke, by his side. Or in the nice place which the name of had slipped his mind. It didn't matter now anyway, he squeezed her had lightly and she smiled at him, her sanity wavered towards normal for a moment.
"You've been so great to me, Hermes. I'll never be able to re-pay you for everything you've done for me. You let me attempt being The Oracle even though you were afraid we couldn't see each other again...." She closed her eyes tiredly but continued, her sanity going back to its normal madness
"You've watched over Luke so well! He's such a fine boy these days, big and strong like his father. I bet he's got a girlfriend he's not telling me about. Good old Luke, shy little thing he is you know..." The next sound she made was a snore and Hermes put her hand on her chest and left her to sleep.

He thought about Luke, his son who hated him because he felt no love from his father. Though Percy said he realised everything in the end, at the very end. When he died. He still hadn't told his mother about that, she would definitley die if she found out. Or go even more insane. Maybe, in a way, it would be kinder to tell her. To let her go into the Underworld.
Hermes shuddered, being consumed by madness and disease was better than the place where they're tortured. But she wouldn't go there, would she? Wouldn't Hades feel guilt for casting that stupid curse on the Oracle and turn the poor old woman mad? Wouldn't he make it up to her for destroying her life? He couldn't put her into torture anyway, she'd never done wrong on purpose. Hermes doubted she'd even done wrong, ever. She was too sweet and kind for that.
Without a word he picked up the staff with the snakes curled round and disappeared to some other place in the world, just to get his mind off of it.
