[8] - Teacher - Mwalimu; The young ones have to be taught somehow and what better way then teachers. Of course they'll be learning as they grow through experiences, only a few may have this status, generally older more experienced Wild Dogs take on this role.

[3] - Historian - Se`Tena 'say again'; The historian literally, 'says again', they tell the story of what happened, how it happened and what it has done to lead up to where they are today. They are very old Wild Dogs, done and bred, only others who will know what they know would be the Jumbe.

[Unlimited] - Pup - Mtoto 'youth'; These are the pups, juves and adols of the pack. None are given a rank different until they are ready and sure of what they want to be when they grow up. Please have the ranks in mind when you receive the pup because even though they won't have it for a while, it's easier on the certists for when your guys do grow.

Pride/Pack History:

HISTORY - From Their Beginning

The lands were being tried as any other way of life is. They were becoming weak and unable to support a whole pack together, making the pack make a hard decision and disperse. Leaving small groups with one another, families alone and unable to survive long, though their stories are important, and remembered they were not as adaptable as the pair whom walked from this tragedy with heads hung and tails moving slowly. Each step seemed to be their last.

Both were stricken with grief, and had begun to see something in a new light. Life needn’t be so greedy, wild dogs didn’t need more then they had before. In fact they were fine on less. These two proved such a thing, their names are forgotten to them and the pack they began. The day of realization, day of enlightenment they chose new names. One, a male, Mkali – ‘bright’ and the other a female, Maisha – ‘life’. Unintentionally their names marked the day known as Mkali`Maisha, ‘bright life’. This is where the beginning of each of the packs year begins, where everything is forgiven and looked away from.

Over time their bodies adapted better and better to no more than two small meals a day and they practically lived on the water they drank, fueled by it and the meat. Their life had taken on a new perspective of ‘less is more’. Their group began as five, taking on three other members from the original pack, members who knew the pain and suffering that lead to this packs formation.

[Unlimited] - Outsider - Kutoka`Nje; In basic, an outsider is nothing bad. It is just a wild dog who has come from another place with a name to complicated for the groups born into the pack. They do not get confused by these 'complicated names' they just prefer the simple life. Look for the information under Kwa`nie to get their names simplified and have them more accepted.

NAMING

All the names for the pack members should be simple ones. Outsiders are easily noticeable compared to them. Names are the one true way to notice whether someone belongs or not. Upon introduction, names are exchanged and if they are to intricate it is shown that the outsider, even if they are part of the pack, are not truly one with the pack.

Examples of Simple Names; Ilo – ‘joy’ and Occhi – ‘eyes’ and Liten – ‘littlest one’

Now an outsider does have an option to truly become one with the pack, they may request from the council and leaders to go on something called the Kwa Ni – ‘to belong’. Also known as the belonging quest. This is where a new name is given to the participant. From then on they’d be known as their simple name, nothing more. [not that there would be punishment for misusing their old name]

This quest is total choice. If the choice is made not to do it, they will just be considered Kutoka`Nje - ‘outsider’.

EVENTS

Mkali`Maisha - 'bright life'; This is the day the pack renews their life and begins again the year they have next. The day they hold the most pride in, the day the pack was created. Similar to Canada's Day and such.

Faida`Nyama - 'gain meat'; The Faida`Nyama is a week long food gathering ceremony. There are three patrons chosen for this daunting task, they will go around the territory and even into the roguelands to search for their meals for the end of the week celebration, as listed and explained below. This happens about mid-year, between Late Summer and Early August.

Siku`ili`Ingi - 'day for much'; This is the day where the pack truly fills their gut, relishes in splendors and is the most common time of conceiving pups. It's a happy occasion filled with as much food as can be found and the only day the pack can go all out on feeding themselves. It is accompanied by a speech from the Jumbe's and last all day long.

RELIGION/BELIEFS

Sherehe`ya`Maisha - 'celebration of life'; The celebration of life is to show and cherish a member whom has passed onto the heavens above. They don't believe in mourning, they believe in sacrifice. not sacrificing, but what the wild dog had shown, taught and let loose into the minds of the younger generations. To die is giving up your life to the pack.

The pack holds dear the birth of pups and the joining of mates and even flings, but they have no celebrations for these. Those are personal to each group and will be treated as such.

The pack is based on simplicity. It believes that owning an abundance of things is unnecessary. Names show this, the names are simple and the nature is simple. They don't eat much, or even drink much. Their bodies are adapted to the area and the lack of food and lack of water. Attitudes are even simple, generally cozy and comfortable with one another, flings are not looked down upon because of this.

Gods/Goddesses:

Goddess of Mothers
Goddess of Souls
God of Choices
God of Balance

LAWS/RULES

1. Only wilddogs will be treated with respect upon entering the territory, other species of SoA are seen as threats to the younger pups and such when inside. Outside they are treated as equals and can be even friends.

2. Young wilddogs are not to leave the territory, this is for their own safety and so the pack can keep the peace with outside creatures. It ensures a harmony between outside and inside.

3. No stealing, the pack is based on simplicity, to steal is to show greed and being greedy is looked down upon by the pack and will not be taken lightly, be aware that this is only if the patron gets caught, which on most occasions will occur.

4. Be Loyal.

MAP

Since the area is enclosed by forest the climate is cool and refreshing, they are nearly shaded from the sun completely, it's considered a very comfortable area to be in.

Dens - There are three major dens, smaller ones can be seen as zoom and such. They are the family dens, big enough for others to dig in and take up residence. They are not restricted to anyone but the people listed in the laws.

Center - The dark patch in the center is considered a very used and high class place. The area is used for Siku`ili`Ingi and Sherehe`ya`Maisha considerably the most. Though it can be used for pack meetings.

Forest - The forest surrounding them acts as a protection unit and a place to relax. They treasure it and figure it completes their whole family in a way. It's something they'd hate to see lost.
