Cole Jeffries is an Arizona gunslinger who witnessed the massacre of his parents and friends by the Apaches when he was fifteen. He was 'rescued' by Hector Pemberton, who took him under his wing. While with Heck, Cole got it in his mind that he was a good gunman, fast at 'skinning leather'- and he was. He got into a fight with one Jake Barlow, and ended up killing him. Fearing retribution, Cole fled to Mexico.
It was no coincidence when Heck started hearing about a strange, yellow-haired gunman down in Mexico, not known by his real name- only as El Diablo Dorado, the Golden Devil. It was rather funny that when Cole returned five years later, El Diablo Dorado disappeared.
Cole settled down with Heck again, living in his Bordello (Whorehouse) called Hanratty's. He fell in love with one of Heck's "spoiled doves-" a girl named Belle. He is trying to settle down and get away from his past- he is trying to start anew. But quite often, his past resurfaces... with gunshots and blood, he his forced to remember. No matter how hard he tries to start anew, his past always returns to haunt him. You just can't hide from El Diablo Dorado.
With Hector dead, Cole is now trying to save Kid Donovan's stupid tail, the dumb kid that can't seem to stay out of trouble or keep his mouth shut about the gold in the mines... Too bad for Kid Donovan, though, because Cole's trying to save his own hide too, right now.
The state Law is out looking for Cole, and so are the bounty hunters. Worse yet, so are the people he has wronged in the past, and none of these people will be trying to take him alive. What could he possibly do?

The saloon was empty, save for the bartender and one lone customer. The bartender was a had a toothless walnut of a face, with great chapped hands and an imposing demeanor. His name was Willie. The lone man at the bar was his companion, and without a doubt, Willie's best customer. The man was tall and lean, with a hungry and distant look upon his hollow and stubbled face that belied the fact that he had nothing to lose. Icy blue eyes hid under low and dark brows, glinting knowingly, always moving and taking in their surroundings. His straw-colored hair was unkempt and dirty, a tattered and bullet-riddled Stetson thrown atop. His clothes, a plain white shirt, a leather vest, coarse trousers, and worn boots were in very much the same condition. They showed his personality, his insouciance, his uncaring tendancies, his violent nature. Cole Jeffries was an outlaw, a murderer, a killer, a gunslinger. He had nothing to live for. Until he met Belle.

Fixing her light green dress, Belle checked herself in the mirror. She had a pretty heart-shaped face, bright wavy red hair, freckles and livly green eyes which seemed to darken which she got really mad... And normally the darkened green eyes where directed towad one person, Cole. She loved the man, but god he could piss her off, luckly for her it was normally near her heavy glass horse. Walking down the stairs she was relieved there where only to people in the saloon. It got annoying with all the men grabbing and wistleing. Walking to the bar she wrapped her arms around the sandy haired outlaw sitting there. " Hello lovely." She said and kissed his neck, smirking.

Cole had heard her stepping down the stairs, and the grim look on his face twisted into a shadowy smile. It wasn't often that he smiled- Belle was the only person that ever made him smile. It was hard to smile when you had spent your life on the wrong side of the law, regretting every move you made but knowing that you had to keep going. But she always made him smile.
Cole felt her arms wrap around him and hold him tight, delighted to have him back. Cole had been out for several weeks, out on...business. He knew that Belle would have missed him terribly the whole time he was gone, as he had missed her so acutely as well. When he was out hunting down those that hunted him, he missed her so badly wishing only to return to her unscathed. But he knew that he had to kill those that were after him, or things would never be so. He smiled as her soft lips brushed against the coarse, tan skin of his neck. "Evening, Belle," he said quietly in his low drawl, slowly pushing his beer away. "You coping by your lonesome?"

Belle smiled birhgtly when he didn't seem hurt or all depressed." Ugh, it's been hell. I have missed my second best costemer..' She teased, kissing his cheek agian. She enjoyed teasing him about being her 'second best'. She him being gone was boring and just hell on earth. She kissed his neck agian, kinda scared this was a twisted dream and if she woke up or even moved he would poof away, then be stuck talking to Willie.. he got semi boring after awhile..

He looked up at her, eyebrows raised. "Second-best? What the hell you talkin' about?" he demanded. He knew full-well that she was joking, and he found her words to be rather amusing. But he was curious as to exactly what she meant. Tilting his head back to rest in the crevice of Belle's neck, Cole smirked. His corded arms folded over his chest, trapping Belle's hands there so that she could not get away. His smirk widened, daring her to answer or try to escape. He enjoyed lording his size and strength over her- it was about all he did have over her. Truth be told, for all of Cole's rambunctious and self-sustaining ways, Belle had him whipped, hands-down.

Belle smirked, letting him trap her. She didn't mind him pushing his streght and how tall he was.. Which was alot taller then her, becasue she knew that when it came down to it. She won. " You know what I mean." She teased and winked at him. She leaned forward and kissed his cheek. " And if not, you should ponder't for a bit.." She teased, a big smile on her face. She missed him and teasing him so much. Now she had two weeks of it to make up for.

Cole made a wry face. "You talking about Jeb?" he asked, jokingly referring to one of the many useless, raw-mannered, cowshit-smelling, dusty pokes that hung around Hanratty's Saloon. Jeb had been hanging around the saloon since before Cole had even arrived in Tonto's Wikiup at with the death of his parents at age sixteen. Jeb was an old useless drunk that would doubtlessly give his right hand to spend a night with Belle- he just never had the money. And it was Cole's belief that Belle would not go to bed with Jeb as it was, even if he were to pay her. He saw in her smirk that she knew he was using his power over her, that he knew he was whipped. He saw that she knew that she was really in power, as always, and he gave her a crooked grin. He knew that he was in for a load of this teasing, as he had been gone for so long. It was always the best right after he returned from business.

Belle wrinkled her nose." You are sick, he smells too bad.. Besides, he doesn't have money." She teased, giving him a big smile. She has thrown jeb out more then once at her time working here. And she planned on doing it every time. He was just too smelly and stuff... He needed to bathe.. Alteast once in his life. " You know, if you are gonna be so mean to be me maybe you should sleep with Willie." She said sarcasically and gave willie a sly look, wondering if she would get an earful or not. " You have been gone for too long. This place just isn't as roudy with out you babe." She teased and kissed his cheek agian.

Cole laughed when she wrinkled her nose in evident distaste. He so liked teasing her as much as she liked teasing him, if not more. He grinned at her teasingly, pulling her soft, small hands with his great calloused ones.
When she mentioned Cole bunking with Willie, the toothless walnut of a bartender shot her an alarmed look, one eyebrow raised high. "Hell naw," he exclaimed to Belle, shaking his head and twisting his cleaning rag in his chapped hands. "He'll sooner sleep with the scorpions and rattlers," the toothless bartender growled. Cole grimaced at the thought of bunking with Willie. And then Belle went on to say that Hanratty's was nowhere near as wild with him gone. He smirked.
"And you ain't get half the work you get when I'm here," he said coyly as she kissed his cheek.

Belle had giggled when both of them seemed to be scared at the thought of bunking together." Don't growl at me Willie. I'm only pullin' your leg." She said, smiling brightly. Turning that look to Cole it turned more into a sly smirk." No, you are horridable on my bussiness. Only a few very brave ones come close." She said, moving so she was now sitting on his lap." I'l just have to start charging you now.. Your time starts now." She teased as she smirked, and playfuuly licked his cheek. " Hehe." She giggled and rested her head on his shoulder.

Cole laughed at the absurdity of Belle's statement. Pay? Never. And he told her just that, grinning confidently at her as she rested her head on his shoulder. "Never paid, never will," he said defiantly, smirking and touching her nose with his index finger.
The bat-wing doors opened with a creak, swinging open to permit the entrance of a tired cowpoke, a man with deep shadows under his eyes and a shuffling, tired gait. He was doubtlessly stopping in for the night. He trudged up to the bar and sat wearily down next to Cole and Belle, the former of whom nodded in greeting. The tired man raised a weak hand in acknowledgment of the greeting, and turned to Willie. "I'll have a beer, please," he said in a voice that was just as worn as he appeared, and Willie set about to get his beer. Cole pulled his own beer back to him and took a long draw before offering it to Belle.

Belle smiled at the new guy then turned back to Cole." You never have piad, huh?" She smirked, taking abit of his beer. She didnt really like the stuff, she was more of a whiskey girl. It was smoother and just taste better. " Well, how the hell did I lt you stay?" She teased, her hands finnally free and she wrapped her arms around his neck." You smell like beer, when will you grow up and turn to big boy achole?" She teased then kissed the side of his mouth. He smelled like beer, big surprise. She thought to herself. Kissing his cheek she just smile, glad he was back. she hated it when ever he left, she got too lonly.

"That's right, never have, never will," he said, smirking at Belle. "Big-boy alcohol? Really, Belle?" He snorted in contempt, and finished off the beer before sending the mug Willie's way. "You'll do away with that- give me a couple shots," he said, and smirked again at Belle. "Show you, I will," he said. He could outdrink any other son of a b***h any day, no matter what it was they were drinking. He already had a few drinks on Belle, if she wanted to play that way. He smirked as Willie set down a half-dozen shot glasses before him, each one containing amber-colored whiskey. Cole turned and kissed Belle on the cheek, smirking at her.

Belle smiled at him." Still have no idea why I keep you around then." She teased, smirking. When he ordered the shots she sighed." Bad bad cole. I'm not playing that game with you." She said and also kissed his cheek. He had a too big of an ego for his own good. But, she did take a couple shots just because she liked the taste." Cocky S.O.B." She teased, taking another shot for the hell of it." This taste better. Much smoother love." She teased him, he was way too cocky some times. And she refused to get drunk at the moment.
