* No remarks against a nationality, religion, sex, race, sexual orientation, or anything else derogatory. Saying something like "I don't have any interest in visiting X country", "I don't agree with X country's policy on Y" is okay, hate speech is not.
* No lying about what languages you speak or how well you speak them. There's no shame in being a beginner!
* No spamming.
* No back-talking your mods.
* No insulting your fellow members. If you have a problem with someone, take it to PM.
* No chatspeak/netspeak. Abbreviations and typos are fine, but things like "HOW R U? I M FYNE LOL" or TyPiNg LyKe DiS are forbidden. No excessive punctuation or excessive smileys either.
* No asking people to pay you for language services or trying to pay people to learn. All our services are free.
* Nothing against the Gaia ToS, although this should be a given.
* More of a tip than anything (you won't get warned for it), but please try to claim your languages. It saves us mods a lot of hassle and stress. Also, if you claim a language, we reserve the right to take down your thread if you become inactive or if we feel your lessons could be better executed by someone else. Please don't take this as a personal attack.

These rules may be edited and changed as the mods see fit. Any activity that causes a member or a mod to legitimately complain about you will be looked into and dealt with accordingly. These rules will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and previous offences are taken into account as well.
