This is a song I wrote along with a few others when a close friend of mine passed. I really had no idea what I was going to do without him and didn't even want to accept that he was really gone. It was crazy to think that only a few weeks before I had drove three hours to see him and he was totally fine and now I was being told he was gone. This song was written because of all the things I didn't get to say.
Last Lulliby
I would sing you a lulliby
If I had known that
It would be the last time
I'd get to tell you
How much you mean to me
If I could tell you
That you saved me
Close your eyes
until the light comes
When you wake,
you'll be the only one
Here, where we lay
I'm sorry I can't stay with you
Where you're going to
I wish I'd known
That you didn't know
How much you helped me
I learned to let go
of all the things that
troubled me in the past
You helped me to learn
Sometimes good things last
Close your eyes
until the light comes
When you wake,
you'll be the only one
Here, where we lay
I'm sorry I can't stay with you
Where you're going to
Let this be the last lulliby
go to sleep, close your eyes
Let this be the last lulliby
Go to sleep, close your eyes
Close your eyes
until the light comes
When you wake,
you'll be the only one
Here, where we lay
I'm sorry I can't stay with you
Where you're going to
