Technically it's not a book but an audio story that I got on I-tunes. David Tennant reads it and I have to say it's almost like a real Doctor Who episode!
Synopsis: While visiting the museum with Jackie and Mickey, Rose and the Doctor discover that there is a stone statue of Rose in the ancient Rome section. They then travel to ancient Rome to discover exactly how the statue was made and they meet with a Roman man who searching for his lost son. They travel to the man's home and meet a sculptor who has a dark and evil secret...
There is also a short interview with the writer at the end as well.
My Feelings about the book: The first thing I fell in love with is the way David Tennant does the voices! He has an amazing way of being able to capture voices, especially Jackie. He really is a great actor and he has a brilliant voice.
The story is pretty much basic who. The Doctor encounters a problem in ancient Rome which and Rose must solve. Although I've heard most people complain about how DW books suck I think that this story was almost like watching a Doctor Who episode. Rayner managed to capture the fun and the adventure of a Doctor Who story and put it down into words.
If you are looking for an Doctor Who Audio book I suggest this one.

I don't think the Doctor Who books suck! lol, well, maybe a little.
But that does sound really good. I think I might get it when I have some iTunes money -___-;
Is he using his "Doctor" accent or his normal accent?

I really liked this audiobook mainly because it was read by David Tennant. The author could have portrayed the doctor better, but all in all it was pretty good.

I love that audiobook! I need to purchase both the book and the audio. It was fantastic. I would have loved to have seen it made into an actual episode, but alas, no dice. I loved the plot and the way it was written.
...Also, the fact that it fed my Doctor/Rose flame made it even more enjoyable for me. stare
