Xander Kane James Xander October 18th 16 Male Human From The Mirror Xander was born on October 18th, moments before his sister, Selena. The two were cherished members of a just-starting family; spoiled by new grandparents, adored by new parents, their lives were what most kids wish for. For six years they lived perfect lives, in a perfect home, surrounded by a perfect neighbourhood. Then, for their sixth birthday, their parents brought them to a nearby fair.
It was the last time they saw their parents.
The man came from behind the cotton candy booth, with big smiles and promises that their parents were just over here. Unwittingly, they followed him; and they've been with him ever since. His name is Marshall.
Running from city to city, hiding from cops and childrens services, they play the game of 'happy family'. But inside, it is anything but. He uses them in his sick and twisted 'pretend' world, which can change at any whim. At any mention, any hint that it isn't what the facade suggests, the game of pretend unwravells, and Marshall shows his true colors. A monster. A fake. A liar and an abuser. Xander is one of his favorite punching bags. Selena is a toy.
They have learned, long ago, that trying to get away is futile. He finds them. Claims they're lying. Then, before anyone can put in an investigation, he whisks them away with fake identities and well covered tracks. Of course, trying to get away is more than a hint that his family is a lie, and Marshall cannot handle that. They've learned, long ago, that it is better to stay. They have learned to survive.
Things aren't entirely bad. They call him Daddy and play pretend, quietly living their lives under his thumb. Xander has learned to play guitar; lessons that Marshall payed for three cities ago. He likes cookies, especially the ones Selena bakes. He hates Marshall, but that's to be expected. He's an average student, and outside of the house one wouldn't suspect that he was anything but normal. He, like his sister, has learned to blend in. He doesn't invite people to the house. It's awkward. He also doesn't invite people nearer him. He keeps to himself. Its' just easier that way.

Selena Bailey James Lena October 18th 16 Female Human From The Mirror Selena was born on October 18th, short moments after her brother Xander.

She’s rather good at it, too. She’s a bit of a klutz, and this makes it easier to explain away the bruises that come when the fantasy fades or changes. Like her brother, Selena is anti-social. When she started Junior high, five cities ago, she had tried to have friends over, to have a life; but that dream was soon squashed. Things are easier if nobody gets close.

Nolan Maddox Xavier Maddox Male Maddox can switch bodies with Mortals, but only if the mortal is in a suspended state. (Asleep, unconscious, comatose) The mortal consciousness is transferred/traded into his body, but is trapped in the initial state. He can then manipulate the body. Power is activated through touch. From The Mirror The Other Face Maddox is young, by angel standards, though not inexperienced in guarding children. His first and only other assignment, however, could not be considered a success. His child took her own life; something he was unable to stop. He still, however, blames himself. After the incident, he refused another position, holing himself up in other work. Simple things, like ferrying souls to the afterlife. Sometimes, he visited the mortal coil to pay respects at the childs' grave. It was here that he saw another child, who reminded him much of the first. He couldn't help but claim guardianship over him. Perhaps this time, he thought, he can save him.
Despite what has happened there, Maddox adores being on earth, and mingling with mortals. He finds them fascinating, when they aren't the source of his charges' discomfort. He doesn't much like cars, however, or any other 'new-fangled contraptions'. Maddox is also gay, though he doesn't find it neccessary to broadcast it to the world. Or, for that matter, his parents. After quitting for such a long time, he has become quite the 'black sheep' of the family, and doesn't want to rupture their conservative lives any more than he already has.

Marcus James MorgansMarc, WishSeptember 3rd16MaleImplingFrom The Mirror Marc doesn't remember much about his family; their faces are unknown to him, but he does remember their voices. He can remember his father's being deep and soothing, while his mother's was soft and sweet, 'like a nightingale', he sometimes says. They died in a car accident when he was four, and he was quickly swept away into a world of foster families. For six years, he bounced from one home to the next, desperately wishing for a place to finally call home. The young impling finally grew fed up with it by the age of ten and ran away. What he didn't count on was for street-life to be so hard.
The boy soon found himself in a desperate situation without any means of getting food or having a place to stay. Eventually, Marcus was approached by a man - he merely called himself 'Boss' - who offered him a choice; stay out on the street and continue to starve, or agree to work for him and have 'protection', food, and a place to stay. Not knowing what he was getting himself into, the boy agreed. He soon regretted his decision.
Since then, Marcus has been earning his keep at his 'job', selling himself whenever he can. He's gotten good at what he does, but it's not something that he's proud of. In fact, he's downright ashamed of his current situation, and he hopes to some day get out of all of it. Unfortunately for the impling, getting out of Boss' 'care' is easier said than done.
In a world where having someone whisper 'I love you' in his ear means nothing, Marcus finds himself secretly wishing for something real - a person to confide in, someone who isn't fake and doesn't want to just get in bed with him. He sometimes watches others from a distance and wonders what it must be like to have people waiting for them, people who genuinely care and mean it when they whisper those three little words; he's starting to wonder if he'll ever know.
While he's often good at masking his real feelings, Marc is actually rather insecure about himself. Still, he does a fairly good job of keeping most people from knowing about this, usually through his mastery in the art of seduction. In his spare time, Marcus actually likes to draw; he found that he had a talent for this a few years back and has used it as a means of 'escape' since becoming an 'employee' of Boss'. His favorite subjects are landscapes and small animals, like cats and lizards, though he does draw people from time-to-time as well. He's also developed the habit of smoking, though he IS trying to quit.
On a side note, he's gay, though he hasn't exactly come into terms with this yet. When he's 'working', Boss gets people to call him Wish, ironically.

Sebastian Kraig MenthasKraig, SebsMaleKraig has the power of empathy; this means that he can feel the emotions of others. However, he can only do this with people who are within a certain range. If they're too far away, then he won't be able to pick up on them. From The MirrorThe Other FaceKraig's held guardianship over many mortals during his time. He's a rather laid-back individual, and truly enjoys trying to help the children that he watches over. He can be a bit of a pervert though and has been known to make his share of inappropriate comments. He's harmless for the most part however, and can usually hold his tongue if he's in the presence of an exceptionally young mortal.
Kraig is known for two things: his love of beautiful women, and his carving skills. He picked up the latter as a hobby during some point in his long existence and has grown to be quite good at it. He usually whittles away at small pieces of wood, but will sometimes start on larger projects if he finds a good reason for it.
He tends to get quite irritated with the whole 'no relationships with mortals' rule. True, there are plenty of attractive angel women around, but he sees the rule as a pain in the rear - especially when he comes across a particularly attractive mortal.
