He is the kind to think that the moon is not a star, as it reflects light of other stars, "taking away what isn't rightfully theirs". He likes to think of himself as being some great big star, but he can't force himself to do so, as he loses his confidence in the presence of others with talent. He is prone to jaelousy, and almost anyone could realize that in an instant. He is a bright student, with above-average grades, yet he says that he's not going to go to college, as he's been caught saying to the headmaster of his previous school, "college won't help me become a musician. It's a waste of time that could be used practicing.". He has severe night blindness, and cannot sleep without a light on, otherwise when he wakes up, he won't be able to see his way to the light. He is an over-the-top clean freak and hates when people nag about his "feelings", though he normally keeps his skeletons in the closet where they belong.
History:
Jeremy was born as Choikang HongKi in Seoul, South Korea, on the 23rd of December. His mother was a strong alcoholic and aspiring actress, and his father was constantly away with work at his record label. Trying hopelessly to hang onto the small amount of attention he received from them, HongKi began to learn how to play the piano when he was in preschool, begging his parents to get him lessons. After about one year, he became the teacher's prodigy, and would travel across Korea for recitals with respected officials. After about six years of doing so, HongKi began to notice a change in his attitude. He didn't want to do this for a living. He despised seeing the look of boredom across his audiences' faces, the idle chatter that would go on while he was playing. He wanted to be the brightest star, the center of attention that could take words away with only a single glance.
At this realization, he miraculously disappeared from the teacher's sights, changing his stage name to Jeremy, and learning how to play the guitar. At this time, he was just beginning middle school. He was sought out by many schools in Seoul, and decided that going to school until he was 18 would give him plenty of time for practicing.
Not only was he noticed throughout the school as a member of the "Blue Troika", a group of privileged kids who were the most likely to succeed in life, but he was known to stay after school and practice dance moves in the room normally used for ballet. He also began to sing, joining the school choir once he entered his first year of high school. Being the only remaining member of the "Blue Troika", as the others were older and had graduated, he was now the center of attention when it came to school. All the teachers thought he was smart, the girls were in love with him, and all the guys thought he was "the man".
He had started his band, A.N.JELL a year prior, and was starting to get attention from the "big shots", like he wanted. He wouldn't take it. He wanted a record deal from S.M. Entertainment - His father's label.
He grew tired of his over-the-top popularity by the end of 10th grade. He wanted to be a star, but not the only one. Though he told the students he would be back next year, he exchanged schools, coming to Hiroshima as an exchange student. He was heard saying that he wanted to go to a school that "doesn't need such a thing as a school "star" to keep it alive".
