PERSONALITY
Above anything Dustine is ambitious in nearly every aspect of her life. She has no lack of guts or brains but the all encompassing drive in her life to surpass her own expectations made her the perfect candidate for Slytherin house. In contrast to the sinister reputation of her house, Dustine has a kind heart and a protective nature that makes her feel responsible for the safety of those around her. Still she will always make sure that the protection of other will always come back to benefit her in some way.
Dustine is an extremely private girl that doesnt have friendships or relationships that require any form of attachments outside of her family. She has problems trusting others and personal tragedy has taught her that caring leads to pain. Most other students dont approach her due to her stand offish nature. She believes that rules are made to be broken but if you cant get away with breaking them, then you deserve the punishment. She has a sadistic sense of humor and finds pleasure in the stupidity of others. However her tough girl demeanor makes her extremely lonely and awkward in social situations that require her to interact with others. She rarely smiles or laughs and is generally considered a b*h; by most of the student body.

Appearence:
Dustine would be considered beautiful if it wasn’t for the back off look she constantly wears. She is tall at 5’11” and daily exercise keeps her body around 150lbs. She has butt-length black hair that she usually keeps braided unless she is going to a formal function. Her favorite facial feature is her eyes which are a golden color that shines in the dark like a cat eye. Dustine also has two tattoos. The first is a large tribal tattoo that covers her right shoulder. The second is a small green and silver fleur-de-lis on her left shoulder blade. She wears a small amount of makeup, preferring the natural look to trashy.
On a typical day, when not in school robes, Dustine is always in blue jeans and either a tshirt or a tank top. She has a 36DD chest and doesn’t mind showing it off but rarely notices if anyone is looking. Whether in school robes or everyday clothes, Dustine is almost always wearing a pair of black knee high lace up boots. Also she has an enchanted ankle length leather coat that belonged to her mother. Thanks to her nicotine addiction, Dustine is never without a pack of smokes or a pack of gum. Dustine wont smoke around others out of respect but whenever she isn’t smoking, she is always chewing gum.
On the odd occasion that requires Dustine to dress fancy, she typically sticks with a classic black dress. Low cut in the front and back less to show off her well maintained body at its very best. She will either leave her hair down and flowing or pull it up into a stylish French twist. Again she sticks with her boots as she considers high heels to be one of the most evil things ever created.

Detailed:
Dustine's story begins with her parents. Maddox and Vyvyan Alistair were both high marked Gryffindor students who became Aurors to hunt down the world's dark wizards. After several years of very successful careers, the couple decided to start a family. Dustine joined their lives on a hot August 4th morning. Her middle name came from her aunt Katherine who was a powerful witch in her own right and came to live with Maddox and Vyvyan for those first few hard months of having a new baby. After a particularly hard capture of a dark wizard, Maddox and Vyvyan decided that a vacation was in order and they borrowed the country cabin of their muggle friends, the Calhouns, for a week. Katherine joined them with baby Dustine and assuming that they should be safe so far out in the country, Maddox and Vyvyan decided not to protect the cabin with the amount of spells and charms they would normally have used. The second night of their vacation, the entire household was awoken by a deafening crash as a hole was blasted into the side of the house. Maddox and Vyvyan raced out of their room to find the siblings of the wizard they had just locked away. Outraged at the capture of their brother, they attacked Dustine's parents who managed to fend off their opening attacks. Katherine raced to grab the baby and take her to safety but Dustine's cries at the noise caught Vyvyan's attention and she was killed seconds later. Without Vyvyan, Maddox was no match for both siblings and he died a few moments after his wife. Determined to destroy the whole family, the siblings raced after Katherine and the baby. As Katherine attempted to concentrate long enough to aparate, she was hit with a spell that sliced her face. Screaming in pain, Katherine forced her mind to focus and apparatted herself and her niece to the Calhoun's which was the first safe place she could think of.
Annila Calhoun's mother had been a witch but she had never inherited the gift. Still when Katherine appeared on her doorstep in the middle of the night, holding Dustine and babbling about an attack, Annila didnt bat an eyelash and simply pulled them inside. She had known the Alistair's were magical so she wasnt shocked as Katherine attempted to explain the events of the night. However a few days later, when Katherine asked her and Paul to raise Dustine as their own, Annila had trouble fighting back her surprise. But as Katherine explained, this would be the safest thing for Dustine. No dark wizard would think that the newly "adopted" daughter of muggles was the child of the Aurors they had hunted down. And thanks to the scars that Katherine couldnt heal away, she was no longer willing to go out into the world to face the stares and pity of a cruel world. So she would become Dustine's cat and constant companion, and at least with the Calhoun's, Dustine had the chance at a happy childhood. Finally, Paul and Annila agreed.
Dustine was a pretty happy kid. She got along well with her brother and sister. The Calhoun's raised her as their own and when she got old enough to understand, they sat her down and explained about her parents and the magical world. It was after that conversation when Dustine began to change from the sweet girl to the determined woman. Someone was going to pay for taking her parents away from her. When her letter to Hogwarts arrived, Dustine could hardly wait for her new life to begin. The Sorting Hat placed her in Slytherin which only bothered Dustine because of its reputation for dark wizards. Still the placement only helped to push her harder to achieve her goal. She was going to do whatever was necessary to become the best and most powerful Auror the wizarding world had ever seen. Over the next 6 years, she pushed herself harder than others, staying up long after the rest of the school slept just to achieve the highest scores possible in all of her classes. The only thing Dustine did better than her studies was her ability to constantly break the rules and escape detection. She was surprised but extremely pleased to receive the head girl badge since it meant that someone recognized her efforts.
