The Red Hot Chili Peppers is a Californian rock band who combined aspects of funk, punk rock, metal, and hip hop, spearheading the funk metal movement of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The Peppers have gone on to further diversify their sound adding elements of ska, jazz, psychedelia, and blues to their songwriting. Vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Michael Balzary (better known as Flea), guitarist Hillel Slovak, and drummer Jack Irons formed the band in 1983.
Well known for their drug use and their numerous line up changes, the current line up features Kiedis, Flea, guitarist John Frusciante, and drummer Chad Smith. Past members in addtion to Slovak and Irons include Jack Sherman, Cliff Martinez, Dwayne "Blackbird" McKnight, D.H. Peligro, Arik Marshall, Jesse Tobias, and Dave Navarro. The Red Hot Chili Peppers have eight studio albums (their ninth, the long awaited double-album Stadium Arcadium to be released in April 2006), eight #1 modern rock hits, and sold nearly 50 million copies of their albums worldwide.
Originally signed to a record deal by EMI in 1983, they switched to Warner Brothers Records in 1991 and they have been with them since. Past producers include Andy Gill who produced their debut album, George Clinton who produced Freaky Styley, and Michael Beinhorn who produced The Uplift Mofo Party Plan and Mother's Milk. Rick Rubin produced Blood Sugar Sex Magik and every album thereafter. More

nope. according sa standards ko, hindi kasama sa "old rhcp songs" yung californication or any other song nila na may video na maikli, iba ang kulay at "f4-straight" na buhok si kiedis, tulad ng nasa picture nila sa first post. tsaka oo, mas maganda rin para sakin yung mga dati nilang kanta. hindi ko sinasabing panget na yung mga recent ha. mas maganda lang dati.

Tska eto po pala, news..
Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced the final details surrounding the release of their new double album. " Stadium Arcadium" will hit the stores on May 8 as the successor to 2002's "By The Way". Originally conceived as a 38-song trilogy, "Stadium Arcadium" will be a 24-track double LP. Songs set to feature are the first single "Dani California", which will precede the album, "Snow", "Animal Bar", "Wet Sand", "Charlie", "Desecration Smile" and "Hard To Concentrate". Speaking to NME.com about the title of the release, singer Anthony Kiedis said: "'Stadium Arcadium', in the end it has a very dreamlike feeling of we on Earth reflecting the cosmos on the heavens, and we on Earth reflecting it because that's where our inspiration comes from. It's more romance of sound or whatever retarded passions exist in your soul. It's kind of a romantic affair." The LP also marks the first time the band have managed three consecutive records with the same line-up, following the return of guitarist John Frusciante to the fold for 1999's "Californication". However, Kiedis refuted the suggestion that this means the band had fully conquered their demons. "It feels great, and I hope it stays that way, but I wouldn't say our troubles are all over. In some ways it's good to hold on to a few of your demons... I don't think our troubles are completely over. We're a bit bent in the head and I think that serves us well."
