I have what is appropriately known to me as the Burnout Syndrome. I wrote this long story about a few years back that recieved a lot of views. 121. It was my first story and it was awful. I made it up as I went along and it had grammar mistake, spelling mistake, plot holes big enough to drive a truck through. I abandoned the story, but not the characters.
I had to move on to other better and more well-thought ideas. But everytime I try a new idea, everyone frowns at it and it's just never going to be good enough as my frist work. I never thought it possible. I get worse as I move on and try to get better. I don't know what to do.
Recently I broke out of it and created a good story, Hell's Bells that all my friends like. But on the side, I'm also working on anotehr script for a novel. (I write scripts and then convert it into novels. It's my way of plotting and getting to know the characters.) I showed the script to my friends today and they were all, 'Meh."
I create something great first and then afterwards, I lose my spice. I don't know why. Any ideas?
