 Kiara stopped just inside the candy store and watched Midnight with amusement. She just didn't understand how this demon was so like a little kid when it came to candy. It's pretty cute, she thought.

Kiara shook her head. "Nah, sweets are for kids." They were like apologies for neglecting her.... That's all she ever got from her parents. Just candy. No words, no attention, just candy. Like it'd make the world better.
