 Many believe they have a guardian. Someone watching over them, protecting them, and keeping them from harm. A guardian angel, sent from the heavens to protect Gods’ creations. But, most people believe this is a myth, made by lucky people to explain the inexplicable good in their lives.
Little do they know it is so much more than a myth.
For many, the myth is a reality. Their lives are aided and guarded by an angel, sent from an ethereal place to their side, where they stay until they are no longer needed. Sometimes, however, things don’t go as planned. Sometimes, the guardian angel is more like a guardian nightmare.
Sometimes, the angel is unable to help the child escape their torment. But in those cases the angel stays, easing the pain and keeping them alive. These angels are known as Constants; and they are bound by a set of strict rules.
But everyone knows that rules are meant to be broken.

No Mary Sues, Gary stus, or your pathetic emo babies. At the risk of repeating myself, YES. These kids are tragic sad-sacks. But really? A whole post that focuses on how pathetic their life has been is boring. Get a hobby.
Please be a bit literate. I don't want to have to decode your posts for what you're trying to say. Length is good, but don’t give me useless tripe.
Mortals are children, and can be from 3-17 years old.
Angels are Immortal, and thus don’t technically HAVE ages. They do, however, posess one special power that helps them in the mortal realm, as well as the following:
-They can make themselves invisible to everyone but their charge.
-They can assume one form visible to mortals; this is ALWAYS a mortal form. (i.e Human or Impling. Something that can blend in.) This form can effect the mortal realm, but their angel form CANNOT.
I’m going to go ahead and say that all races are allowed, but there are some exceptions and technicalities. All mortals must be MORTAL. This means that the race you choose cannot be, in any way, immortal. Meaning, the undead are off-limits. Also, clearly, you cannot have an angel for a mortal. Or a devil, for that matter. Neko, human, elf, or impling, however, are all acceptable races.

You Are Here
The story is set in the city of WarrenCrest. An above average sized sprawl of urban territory, set on an island in the middle of the Ocean. Two long bridges connect the island to the mainland, though more people come as tourists to WarrenCrest than people leave it.
It's very scenic and old-fashioned around the edges of the island nearest the water, but as you move toward the center the city becomes more modern. Glass buildings and sky-scrapers dominate the center of the island. Most people prefer to live here, as opposed to the outer ring, which is affectionately referred to as 'tourist-town'.
The city, as you can imagine, occupies the entire island.
