Eventide Hunter Vice Captain

Purely epic, it had a good control scheme, a very diverse array of areas and a multitude of quests along with a weapon generation system that is to date unmatched. I thought that it played really well as a first person shooter, it was very precise and easy to get the hang of. I liked it's multiplayer too, the dueling was fun and the addition of arenas were genius. The story wasn't the greatest thing ever, but the gameplay was so solid that that didn't matter to me one bit.

Agreed, overall an epic addition to the Xbox archives. And the modding capabilities, even without a modded console, are just fantastic. I don't think I've ever encountered such an awe inspiring system of weapons design, so much fun.

Freakin awesome game. Mordecai is definitely my favorite character, despite being a fairly weak character at the start due to his skill mainly pertaining to one weapon type, he becomes most likely the best with his ability to go through shields without fail later on in the game. That makes a critical hit with a sniper rifle devastating, that combined with the extra abilities for sniper rifles gained through his skill tree is a very deadly combination.

I saw that game and kept telling myself I needed to buy it. I mean, it looks awesome. More weapons, that rough and tumble gunslinging action I crave, plus correct me if I'm wrong it has a multitude of storylines to follow? Do I see awesome on the horizon? Hearing positive things about this game makes me want to buy it even more, I don't know why I didn't when it came out. -_-
I'm still a nerdy Pokemon addict, that's probably why. That's what Pokemon needs. Guns, a more diverse storyline, and evil characters who actually pose a real threat, but that's pushing it for Nintendo... hmm, an easy transition to violence for Pokemon... We need Pokemon who attack and maim humans more. twisted I'm talking charred limbs, poisoned people hacking up black and purple phlegm and people writhing on the ground because they made fun of Drowzee's funny nose.

Absolute 110% behind you on the Pokemon ideas. That'd be like remaking Zelda: OoT in Masterquest mode with current gen graphics and guns. It'd be so epic, the gaming industry would completely freeze, die, and shut down, since nothing could ever top it. But no, in Borderlands, it's only one storyline. The only difference in character choice is what your special ability is, and which gun the game gives you in the beginning.

The storyline is admittedly not the best one ever, their are many side quests to keep you busy and active, and plus, unlike most games, weapons chests re spawn when you exit and reload the game, so you never get bored raiding bandit camps. It's not 100% sandbox, but there are many different maps in the game, each sprawling with a unique terrain. Plus with the skill trees, each you could play twice with the same character and not have the same experience, and with the weapon generation system, you likely will not have the same experience any way. Like, I did runs with Roland, the soldier class, for the achievements, and in one I was slinging an SMG and a long range sniper rifle, the next, a shotgun and a high powered revolver.

Alright, you guys have sold me on Borderlands. I'm gonna have to go get it. Been wanting to check out God of War 3 so I should pick that up, too. Damn I don't want to spend that money but I do! To get both of those I bet it'll be 120 dollars. Damnit. ''><''
