Eldridge sat at his desk, the office work was slim allowing him to pull put a book in the meantime. He pulled it out and read a few pages, marking several with a highlighting tool he received a while back. He slung his arms and streched them, yawning a bit. He placed the book in the library behind him and sat back onto the desk, taking out a quill and writing in his office work. He looked to the assassinations and decided to persue them, he began writing his report.OOC:

Squad Two Vic Captain
___________________________________ "Cause when it feels like a kick in the teeth.."  Nao walked through a hallway. After long training she had finally been assigned to squad two, vice captain. Nao was silently proud of herself. Her whole family died away many years ago, but no one ever made it past just a member in the 13 quart guards. Nao sighed lightly looking around her, making sure she was in the right place. Yes, she was. She lifted her arms as she walked and pulled her gloves on her tighter. She finally had arrived at the captains door. At that she knelt, onto one knee, on hand on the ground in a fist. She kept her head low, her eyes looking at the ground, not daring to look at the captain. She cleared her throat before she spoke in a calm easy tone "Nao Shizu at your service Captain."
"I can take it."

Eldridge plopped his share of papers to the side of the desk and heard his door open, he looked to see a woman at it. A closer look showed she was kneeling. 'Nao Shizu, at your service captain.' he realized that the woman was the one whom they'd re-assigned. He nodded and let out a small 'heh.' in an attempt to lighten the mood.
"Please, Nao. Call me Eldridge. And get up, the ground is no place for my Vice Captain."
He said rather lightly as he stood up and began to walk forward, he placed the last paper flipped over to conceal the others and stepped away from the desk.
"You you're the newbie if I'm not mistaken?"
He took a note in his mind and decided not to be so rough this time around, he intimidated the last vice captain too much and wouldn't want that to happen again as that resulted in... Death."And that is how the body crumbles."OOC:

___________________________________ "Cause when it feels like a kick in the teeth.." Nao already pictured a man fully dressed in many clothes in her head. Little did she know she had him almost perfect just by the sound of his voice, breath pattern, and sound of his feet taking his steps. Nao herd his words to stand up. For a moment she stayed, it was respectable to kneel for a Captain. She slowly rose fearing she might have done something she would soon regret. Nao finally glimpse at his face. She looked at his mask, worried. At that she crossed her arms behind her back and straightened perfectly up, her head held high. "Yes Captain, I am your new Vice Captain. It is an honor to be here." She said ignoring the comment to just call him Eldridge. Nao breathing in, letting it out slowly.
"I can take it."

"You know, I'm not as rough as some of the other Captains... You don't have to pull a high-end respect act like that one. Though it's nice. So I'm going to say a few words to explain that to you: I don't mind casual behavior."
He said with a lighter voice, he looked at the woman and stopped about six feet away. She seemed like a fine young one, probably pretty fast due to the weight to height ratio he predicted from just sight.
"So tell me, what are your specialties?"
He asked with an inquisitive tone, he was trying to see what kinds of missions would be best for her."And that is how the body crumbles."OOC: You don't see the mask, I just drew it 'cause I was bored.

Nao felt as if he was teasing her, with the breaths. She ignored it, it would be a mistake if she didn't. Nao lightly relaxed her head so she could look at her captain properly. Keeping her hands where they where along with her respectful position. She looked at him with her calm green eyes, she hopped nothing would come bad out of there relationship. Once he asked for her specialties she looked at him and spoke respectfully and calmly "I am skilled in almost everything, Hoho is my strongest subject along with hand to hand combat, swordmenship, and kidou. I am skilled in stealth, able to hid all my spiritual into almost nothing." She told him, slightly proud of herself again.

Eldridge scratched the back of his head and closed his eyes, he nodded slowly and opened them again. The hazel color shone easily with the lighting, making them look almost yellow. He knew most of what she said just from perception. Hoho, Kidou, CQC and Swordsmanship were obvious traits along with stealth.
"Not a bad combination, I wouldn't mind setting up a test for you..."
He trailed off into thought and then relaxed his arms and his focus was back on the subject. He turned away for a second and pulled a chair, he set it by his desk. He sat in his usual rotary chair and looked at Nao.
"Come and sit, it gets chilly by the door."
He said calmly, he was beginning to like the newbie... Sure she wasn't exactly listening, but she wasn't exactly a Vice Captain before either. He noted the headstrong feeling she gave off, which somewhat was a good and bad thing. He set the thought aside and waited for her to sit before resuming conversation."And that is how the body crumbles."OOC: He has an inner hollow, it doesn't come out unless in dire situations.

Nao watched her captain. It might take her some time to loose her habits from training but she would warm up to him, hopefully. She nodded in agreement of the test. She had been tested many times before, many many times. Then it struck her, his test would be different form the academy. She shook the thought out of her mind, she would always try her best as she always had. Give it all or nothing. Nao let her arms fall to her curvy sides. She strided over to the chair she was instructed to sit. She sat and crossed her legs like a well propped lady would do. But because of her short tight outfit, she had to do it. Nao flicked her long hair lightly out from under her, allowing it to flow down her back.

Eldridge opened a notebook and turned it to a blank page, he kept it to the left of his desk. He twiddled with the quill in his hand and looked at the blank page. He turned his attention to his Vice who propped herself into a more casual position. He shrugged and let out a small breath.
"Better."
He said in a more sarcastic voice though there was nothing sarcastic about it. He began to scribble onto the paper, he looked at his vice the entire time though he was beginning to draw a map of some sort.
"Well, I have two ideas for a test... Your pick.
Scavenger hunt, or hide and go seek?"
He asked with a lazy but serious tone."And that is how the body crumbles."OOC:

'Hes very odd..' Nao thought as she watched him drawing a map of some sort of map. After he had done that he asked her a very odd question. Scavenger hung, or hide and go seek. On Nao's face, a expression of true confusion hit her face. 'What the hell?' She thought to herself. Nao never expected to hear 'Scavenger hunt or hide and go seek' come out of any captains mouth. A few moments she looked at him oddly, not really knowing what to say. Then she thought that Eldridge was probalby thinking that she was some type of crazy person. Nao cleared her throat of nothing "Eto..Hide and go seek?" She said in an unsure voice.

"You know, there's a reason why those games were made. The rules are so easy to remember that they've been around for almost an eternity. Well, how else do you get something stuck in your head? Don't you agree?"
He said rather calmly, he rolled down his left sleeve to reveal a small blade in a sheath. He slowly unsheathed it and it looked as though butterflies were fluttering from it. They became dust and vanished from reality.
"Illusions, that is your actual test."
He said with a small grin and slid the zanpakuto back in the sheath, rolling down his sleeve while at it.
"Head to the training grounds, I'll be there shortly. You may want to already find a decent hiding spot, by that I do not mean the tree in the very center.""And that is how the body crumbles."OOC: Methods of teach are best learned through childsplay.

Nao nodded. She understood now. After he pulled out his sword and it fluttered away Nao sighed, she was not that well at Illusions. Well not finding them at least. Nao stood up, her hair moving behind her. She bowed deeply before she spoke "Understood Captain." She said before standing up straight. She turned on one heel and walked gracefully to the door which she opened and walked out. Shortly after she used her high speed shunpo and flashed stepped to the training grounds. Nao thought of what he said. She wondered what he meant.

"Serious... Or funny.... Hmmm..."
