Here is the quarters of the Dark Knight, Claire. Like all rooms of the knights that live within the Citadel, this one was built for two, though Claire has been lucky enough to have one to herself. Until now.

Inside, the walls a ceiling are painted as if they were storm clouds, dark and light greys rolling beautifully, almost appearing to be in motion. In a few places there seem to be sparks of lightning as well. This is all due to the girl's odd fascination of Thunder storms, as she believes them to be quite beautiful. Aside from the walls and ceiling, the floors are of dark cherry wood, but it appears darker as Claire keeps her one window heavildyu draped. She likes the shadows. Who knew?

As for objects in her quarters, only a dresser with mirror and a love seat reside... that is, of normal pieces of furniture. Her bed, which resides in the corner opposite to the door, is like a cushioned bowl. One that she can crawl into and curl up in. However, it it tilted for easy access. Giving it a more delcate look, pinned to the ceiling of the corner in which this bed resides, is a thin, black curtain that wraps around her 'bowl." Such keeps even the tiniest glimmer of light from reaching her, and, in the winter months, makes sure she stays warm.

It would have been easier to just sift through the shadows from the throne room to her own quarters, but she was to be a guide for her Lord's new toy. She still carried traces of agitation inside, now that she had to share a room. She was loving the solitude and privacy, but no... till, Fluer had said he had a mission, and it was specifically for someone like her! That completely trumped the waryness she was feeling towards Nia as she lead the way to her room, bounce in her step. It was a good thing her metallic partner continued to support her body and limbs, otherwise each excited bounce would cause her to lose balance and probably fall over. They drifted through another corridor in the Dread Dialect and finally made it to the girl's room, in which she pulled out a key and unlocked the door, entering and going straight for her bed. 'Well, this is it. Sorry about it not being compatable for two... I've been here by myself for a while. Since you'll be staying here until further notice... I'm sure we can move some of your things in here..." She turned around, sitting on the edge of her tilted bed.

She gave but a polite bow upon arriving at her new room. Already, at the door, was a large, sarcophagus-like box made of fine, solid ebony. The corners were protected with decorative metal shodding with designs of roses and butterflies. The words 'Hades' Butterfly' were beaten into the edge of the lid in golden letters. Sturdy leather straps attached to D-rings on the top and bottom. It looked like a coffin.

While Claire was busy bouncing into her chambers, Nia lifted the box onto her back and slanted it so it would actually get off the ground. It was taller than her so she carried it diagonally across her spine. Strategic maneuvering was required to get it through the door, but finally, she was able to set the heavy box down in the farthest, most empty corner of the room, right next to the dresser. It fit in alright, looking like a slightly out-of-place antique chest designed like a massive music box. There was even a keyhole on an ornate, built-in lock... for none other than the key that fit Nia's back. It was to confine her as a form of punishment or in the case she needed to be isolated, hidden, or restrained. Hopefully, Fleur would never have to use it.

Carefully, she began to dismantle her clothes, folding each piece as she shed it until she was left in only her underskirt, sleeves, shoulder vest, and armored corset. It covered quite well, actually, not nearly as skimpy as people might expect. The clothes she stowed into her keepbox. Black sandals with crisscrossing laces were finally decently visible with her long skirt gone. Even her feet were pretty... small and dainty. As she sat down on the edge of her box, her long hair pooled all over the box's surface. She allowed herself to settle into her stand-by perch: head slightly lowered, eyes half-closed, shoulders relaxed, hands resting on either side of her hips with fingertips touching her keepbox's lid, one leg tucked behind the other and both feet pointed left. She truly looked like a doll on a shelf.

It wasn't even like having a roommate. It was like having another piece of furniture.

Claire gently pressed a fang into her lower lip, not sure what to do as the Dollshed her garments and settled herself in a... box? The half-demon felt somewhat ignored... "Um... well, I hope you're comfortable... I'm gonna take a nap before I go see Sire again." She had a feeling there would be no response to that, too. So, she turned and curled up into a ball, letting her eyes shut. She would only sleep for a little while, and mostly to regain energy that had been lost. She knew her bpdy wouldn't heal as quicly, so she kept her liquid armor in place. Soon the girl's breathing grew soft.

"Yes, Miss." Was all she said. Her body was so still she may as well have been a statue in marble. The box was the perfect height for her to sit on. Rather, in the words of the Dollmaker, it was the perfect place to display her upon. Her eyes took in what they could without her moving her head. Servants had the same status as furniture so she must act her part. True, she was now a Dark Knight. Being furniture could hardly be her status... but there was good furniture and there was bad furniture. There was normal furniture and bewitched furniture. There was also elite furniture and hybrids of any of the above mentioned... and more. Her chattel status stood.

The woman known as Claire seemed to have fallen asleep. If she were still alive, she'd have gone out and explored the domains. Instead, she simply stood and dreamed about the vastness of the stronghold, imagined the hallways and corridors, conjured up fantasies of the courtyard and the dungeons... the stables... Were there stables? She was curious to know what was in them. Her greatest solace, besides serving her Master's will, was the world inside her head.

Perhaps that was a sad, sad thing to say.

~Twilight Time~

Claire woke up, several hours later, and crawled out of her bed without much eligance at all. Not that she really cared. One's personal quarters shouldn't require more ettiquet than what was confortable. Yawning stiffly, she made herself presentable for Lord Fleur and placed her room key on the dresser, informing Nia that she could have it until Claire had another made. After all, Claire didn't really have a use for doors and the like when there were shadows on both sides.

Wandering down the dark halls, Claire made her way to the Throne room. She heard nothing on the other side, so slipped through the shadows to take a quick peek. The new recruit and the other knight were gone now, Fleur was alone. So she appeared before him. Kneeling before him as was required, not that she minded, the half-demon recieved and committed to memory what her task was. It was, indeed, fit for her more stealthy nature. On top of that, it was a bit dangerous. She may not be the best inf ull out combat, but this... she could prove herself worthy with this task.

Eventually leaving her Master, Claire disappeared from the Citadel, collecting what rations were nessicary for her and storing them in her shadow. She was prepared now, and ready to go... so, she left the Dark Lands, for the first time in a very long time, and she headed to the most practical place to start; The Dawn Lands.
