It has come to my attention that the guild is dieing. I have also seen some good ideas on how to correct this problem! If you would like to participate, please post in this thread. Do the same if you have ideas for the "re-vamping" process.
Right now I would like to take the ideas that I have seen and set up the Estudios-Professores program. I have been doing so on a not-as-regular-as-I-would-like basis through PMs.
If you would like to become a profesor please PM me. Please note that you would have to take a test- and pass- in order to make it onto the team. If you are interested in becoming an estudio than please PM me, along with your skill level. I will join you with a profesor. There will be estudio de la mes, who will get a banner and a special mention in this thread. However, both professores and estudios will be awarded with ribbons for how well they are doing. When they collect enough ribbons, they will earn a small gold prize. Estudios will earn ribbons based on results of tests. Professores will earn ribbons based on the monthly reports of the estudios. Another note, I will expect monthly reports from estudios on how well their profesor is doing and the results of estudios' tests.  I think we should make more sub forums. One can be Learning Spanish and can have a sub forum of beginner and intermediate. The beginner should have English translations and the intermediate should all be in Spanish.
The sub-forums should be things like:
Learning Spanish
>Beginner
>Intermediate
Games
Cultural Aspects
Popular Culture
Random Topics
The Main Forum can be just an umbrella forum or something. What do you guys think?
Edit: The Learning Spanish Forum can be where people try to look for teachers and people try to find students.
The beginner forum can have a sticky with links to posts with basic vocabulary and grammar structure. Here people can ask questions and look for lessons from others who cannot take on students full times.
The intermediate forum can have a sticky for harder words and more difficult grammar and verb tenses. There will only be Spanish allowed in this forum.
The culture forum can be where people talk about where they are from in Spanish speaking countries and can share interesting facts and news.
The pop culture will have people's favorite music, movies, etc. in Spanish.
The other can be for other things that aren't really about Spanish, but that people want to talk about with the forum.

Hmmm... I get what you are saying, and I agree, but subforums cost money that I don't think I can spend with out the Captain's permission. I will try my best and I will keep your idea in mind. Maybe some of the other vice captains know how to do that.

Maybe some of the other vice captains know how to do that. If that is the problem, then I will pay for it. How much do each cost?
