Okay, I had begun a very in depth and interesting story based upon the re-occurring themes of my dreams which include any kind of body of water, hospitals, forests(mainly evergreen trees), and a dark mysterious presence. I had a very nice, well written, well thought out beginning... and then my computer decided to commit suicide and i lost everything... -.-

So, I've decided to re-write the story but I'm having a difficult time re-writing what I originally wrote, so I'm writing it from a completely different perspective this time. I have the main themes, who the mains characters will be and such all thought out and safely stored in my brain. Now I just need to collect it is a desirable fashion on paper. (or in this case, on M. Word)

Here is the prologue:

Today is not a day of celebration. Today is not a day of happiness, smiles or laughter. Today is not a day of gathering friends and family. Nor a day of cake and ice-cream, or a piñata for the children. Today is they day I draw my last breath. The day me and my comrades will fall for what it is that we believe in. The day our enemy will have won. The day that our world… will fall into darkness.

Today is my birthday, but it seems it will also be the day of my passing. No one in the group knows of this day as what it is to me, and I like it that way. I only realized the minor side of the horrors I would face this day. I knew I would die, and I knew my friends would with me. We all knew this, and we have accepted it.

Why do we fight a battle we won’t win? Some may say pride while others, like me, say that it is just the beginning. The beginning of a revolution. Our deaths, though they may not be publicized, will be noticed by those who need to notice. Our deaths will plant a seed. A door will open when ours close.
I sit here in the passengers seat of the armored vehicle as we drive through the Dark Forest. The trees may not be spaced enough for a vehicle such as this to travel through the forest, but a path has already been cut by the monorail system that collapsed a few months back.

My name, you ask? It’s not important. Just know that I died for you. I died so that one day your life would be good, one day you will not be oppressed by them.

I love you, Karsa. I always have, and I always will. Take care.
