Hiya, have been brought up on Disney and am now currently in the process of collecting Disney animated movies. So thought this would be the guild for me.

Yes, welcome welcome!
I hope your search for Disney DVDs is going well. Personally, I'm having trouble finding the Lion King, so I hope you've been more lucky.

Thanks, at the moment I am collecting videos as I still have a video player, though going to start getting more DVD's. Missing some of the lesser Known Disney's such as Black Cauldron.

Xanaduhaz Thanks, at the moment I am collecting videos as I still have a video player, though going to start getting more DVD's. Missing some of the lesser Known Disney's such as Black Cauldron. You should check out places like Blockbuster or MovieStop, where you can buy used DVDs. That's where I got my copy of the Black Cauldron. 3nodding

About half of mine are on VHS... Though I have all of my favorites on DVD. That's lucky, because only my sister's room has a VHS player.
Some I have on both DVD and VHS, allowing me to own it even when I'm lending the movie out. It's awesome.

~Advice from a Caterpillar~ I don't own any Disney VHS any more... they were all sold once we started buying DVD's... Some movies I had on VHS I don't have on DVD yet... like Beauty and the Beast... I haven't watched that in years and it was the first movie I ever saw at a cinema! o.o
I remember I had a lot of recorded videos off the TV... like Alice in Wonderland. Least I have that on DVD now... yay. XD
That reminds me... I still haven't watched all the Disney DVD's I bought recently. >_>

Same, I have so many still to watch but where to begin? I will leave any '2' ones till later. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourites though have only watched it twice, though adore Lion King, especially the score.

i recommend yard sales. I seem to see the rarest ones (Ive heard that my favorite (the lion king 2) is really hard to find) there. Most of mine are on vhs but we have a few platinum edition whatevers. Mostly princess movies, sleeping beauty, cinderella etc.
you know whats really bizzare? we have 3 copies of the aristocats on vhs.

~Advice from a Caterpillar~ Three copies of Aristocats? o_O Great movie but I wouldn't buy three copies of it. XD
That reminds me... I simply must buy the Un-anniversary edition of Alice in Wonderland! Of course that means importing... eh, they haven't released that edition over here unfortantly. *sighs*

I have a similar situation with Snow White as have at least 3 different VHS releases. By the way I really like Lion King 2 one of the few good sequels to Disney in my opinion.
