This is another difficult story. mostly because of the folklore surrounding it. Now, most folklore has some basis in fact. even if its some yokel who sees a bear in the woods and mistakes it for a great and horrible furred demon. Jersey is filled with strange phenomena, so its quite possible something does exist, and there have been plenty of reporrts to support this, but its just as likely some 18th century huntsman saw something in the halflight and jumped to conclusions... spawning over 2 centuries of other people jumping to the same conclusions. Worth investigating, tho.
