~Advice from a Caterpillar~
Okay I have been rather bored recently; and have been wanting to do a proper AiW RP for a while now.
My idea is a role-play not Alice-centric; in other words a RP about the actual inhabitants of Wonderland. We know what the characters are like when faced with someone from the 'other world' but what about the daily goings-on in Wonderland? The events, the politics and rules? After all the rules of Wonderland are vastly different from the other world.
Now it would be mainly based on the 1951 film; however you may play any character from the books (Both AiW and TtLG) who wern't in the movie too (such as White Queen or Jabberwock). Talking about characters, the Queen of Hearts and Red Queen arn't the same character, so both characters would be up to play. The Red and White Queens are the rulers of what I'll call the 'Chesslands', in other words... 'Looking-Glass Land', which will be a seperate Kingdom from Wonderland. Perhaps there will be a conflict between Wonderland and Looking-Glass Land? Or perhaps its just 'Wonderland' and the 'Looking-Glass' could be some kind of portal to an opposite realm with nightmare versions of the Wonderland inhabitants? I'm open to suggestions.
Its okay if you've never read the book, but I would pick a character to play that you know of quite well at least. If you need to know what characters were in Wonderland and which ones where in Looking-Glass, just ask... or... wikipedia!

Any characters from poems in the books would be playable too.
When it comes to characters its probably easier to play 'anthro' versions of the Disney characters (like the White Rabbit would be a guy with rabbit ears and such), obviously the human characters would remain human but you could put your own design to them. Again open to suggestions for this. Talking about the White Rabbit; my idea would be he is the keeper of the 'Rabbit Hole', the portal to the 'other world' and so is very important to the Queen. Something like that anyway. Oh and if you want to change the genders of the characters... eh its okay just ask me first.
I am unsure if they'll be a role for Alice in the RP, but as I said... suggestions people! I'll be playing the Caterpillar of course but all the other characters would be open... and yes, go mad with designing them and their personalities if you like... HOWEVER keep them at least a bit recognizable from their Disney counterparts.
Obviously I won't create the recruitment thread or RP until I find out that you guys think this is a good idea. But if anyone is desperate to reserve a character you can do so now. Even if you've reserved a character you must fill out the application form once I create it though.
