Hey, I was going through a few old characters of mine when I stumbled across an old favourite... Basically, she's a quiet, calculative young girl who is a paladin... If you know some classic Final Fantasy games, then you kinda know the picture (but she is all armour, sooo no turban...). All to say, that it made me REALLY craaave to play a kinda FF based rp. I was thinking of starting one, but before I do, I just wanna know how many people wanna join in. I do not plan on making it completely based off of the game, so even if you havn't played any, it'll be easy to join. Everything else will be original but classication and character moves. If you wish to join but don't really know the whole moves and types... use this site: FFXIclopedia - Jobs & BattleYou can chose your character to have any job, including the extras (I always found beastmaster and puppetmaster were amazing ideas). Your charcter doens't have to look anything like the pictures they give as examples, it's just to give you an idea. Anyways, click on them and see what their abilites are and description. That's basically all you have to know to join.

If you're kinda confused about this whole 'job' thing, I'll paste the character sheet of my old character (in which I plan to use again smile ) And I probably will be using the same character layout for the adventure rp if anyone is interested.  Username:x Second Setback x
Name: Ivori O'Ryan
Age: 17
Birthday: March 4
Gender: female
Sexual Orientation: straight
Height: 5'6
Eye Color: blue
Class: Paladin
Weapon: Double sided sythe with black lines carved into it's handle. Usually weilded with one hand and spun at her side before swung
Armor: Heavy black armour rimmed with red. She also has long sheild wrapped around her left arm with thick leather bindings. The shield has a large red 'x' etched into the middle of the black steel with other random lines sketched into. Also lined with red. Due to the weight of the armour and shield, Ivori moves rather slowly. But on the other hand, the armor makes it very difficult for an attack to harm her.
_______________________________________________________Abilities/Techniques:
Tremor: For someone so small, Ivori can become quite agressive. When faced against a small group of enemies, she attacks in bulk with multiple heavy slashes and is able to knock back the invading troup. However because of the great weight of her armour, it takes a long time between each slash.
Sheild Bash: Slugs enemies with her sheild, creating the possiblity of stunning her target.
Flash of Steel: Ivori slashs enemies three feet in front of her.
Nurse: Slightly heals an ally or herself at close range.
Cover: She takes the damage of party members for a limited time.
Sentinel: Ivori increases her defense when she lifts her shield above her head.
Overdrive: Ivy Ori Reels: Ivori's speed doubles and her sythe breaks into two pieces. Weilding one blade in each hand, she deals a number of slashes to the enemies before her stamina wears out and she looses half her health.
World of Origin: Hallow Bastion
Alignment: Although she lives in the brotherhood, Ivori sill hasn't made up her mind on what side she personally would take. For now, Ivori's waiting it out to see just how far the Brotherhood is willing to go to keep its independence and if she agrees with their approach.

For me, it depends on the plot you come up with. ^^ If it's something original and the story interests me, you can probably count me in. lol. ^^ I love Final Fantasy and I have ever since I was a very young child. XD

lol well since most people are depending on the plot, anyone wanna shoot in some ideas?
It'd be easiest to go with team A vs. team B idea, but that seems waaay to generic, yet again I'm kinda hoping for a simple concept 'casue it's easiest to get people to join if the idea is simple...
Here are some ideas, tell me what you think smile
1 - A team of mercenaries kill a dragon for the King of a dying nation.
2 - A group of hunters in an airship. Each member with their own reason for joining, but as a group their goal is to kill the leviathan for a sum of money larger than imagination and fame. (*my personal fav)
3 - Each part of their souls have been stolen so they no longer can feel a certain emotion (different for each) so to free themselves from it, they must kill the spirit obessor.
If you guys have other ideas, don't be afraid to shoot some out. I just really wanna fight pirate it's been too long since the last time I gotta role play some fighting....

I like number three!
Even though it isn't really a proper class, I loved the idea of the Alchemist in FFX2. Might be fun to add them in.

The old books tell us that to regain their emotions, the victims must lay waste to the Cimmerian Vein and burn its heart to release the human emotions locked deep inside. Yet again, most take this only as legend... excluding a group of men and women who have felt the horrific effects of the beast first hand. Each one with a single emotion missing and with a burning desire to return their full human heart. Will they remain between broken or regain their full human heart? Only you will know.

I think I am going to make a Corsair with no optimism/hope. xD

My friend, who I roleplay with on a forum in Barton Town, is planning to join the guild and this roleplay in particular.
