Basic Information
Name: Vorian Locklear
Nickname(s): Vori, Lock, Locklear, and probably a few more.
Age: Vorian is 995 years old, yet he only looks to be in his late twenties or early thirties.
Squad: Jusanbantai - 13th Squad
Seat: Captain
Height:6'4"
Weight:193lb
Personality:
There really is not anything unique about Vorian’s personality. He enjoys being around friends and is usually very open with them, although he gets extremely open when given the right amount of alcoholic beverages and he becomes very open… And remember, there’s no such thing as too much! Usually though, he tries to stay away from fraternization during serious situations, occasionally he does give in to the temptation though.
Vorian will usually have an amiable and less-than-completely-business-like attitude with the other Captains, with the exception of the Sou-Taichou. He has been known to hit on most, if not all, the females in Soul Society and has even gone as far as the Captains before. He can be contradictory at times too but doesn't really care.
During battle, Vorian usually keeps his calm, but he has been known to have gone berserk on occasions, completely disregarding his wounds and attacking until he passed out from his injuries and blood loss. On a general basis, you'd have to try beyond human comprehension and then some to get him to this point though.
Physical Appearance:
Vorian Locklear looks mostly European, German/Scandinavian to be more precise, with former blond, and now white, hair and brown eyes. He is rather tall, although not an absolute giant, and is bronze from the sunlight, although he has never actually tried to sunbathe. Across the bridge his nose is a visibly lighter strip of skin, the results of a sun burn.
Biography:
Vorian had died at a young age, around three or four, from diseases and, after escaping from a Hollow, ended up in the Rukongai, where he was “adopted” into a family in and around the seventeenth district. His past was shrouded in mystery as the only part of his past he remembers is his name and where he was from, Denmark, nothing else. Being in an upper part of the Rukongai allowed him to grow up well, never having to steal for food or water.
It was one day, when Vorian was seven, when he had drawn water at a nearby well and was returning to his house with it. On the way, he had seen a Shinigami for the first time, despite hearing many tales about them, playing with the children of the Rukongai. He wanted to join in and quickly took the bucket of water back to his house then ran out to join them. When he arrived, he found himself somewhat unsure of how to join in when the Shinigami must’ve seen him looking and invited him over.
After they had finished and the Shinigami was going to eat, Vorian followed him still, to the amusement of the Shinigami, and was invited to eat. Having not eaten in a while, since most people just don’t need to, Vorian found his mouth watering, something that the Shinigami noted. Buying him some noodles, the Shinigami then explained to him what his job was and that being hungry meant that ones reiatsu was high enough to have a good chance to become a Shinigami. Very inspired by this, Vorian had went home right after being treated to dinner and declared to his family that he wanted to the Shinigami when he grew up. This declaration met mixed responses, some teasing, some encouraging. Yet he would not abandon this goal.
Vorian entered the Shinigami Academy full of hopes, dreams, and expectations, many of which were crumbled up yet did not impede him in any way. The first thing he had found out was that, despite spending a lot of his time in the Rukongai training, he was not, by far, the strongest person there. However, Vorian still managed to excel in the Academy, learning Kido quickly and was even able to skip two years of training. At the time of his graduation, while he was not the top graduate, Vorian still managed to graduate in the top ten, two years ahead of everyone else. That was something he was very proud of.
Entering his first squad, he soon received a post in the Human World, faster than most would. It was a memorable moment in his Shinigami career and made him feel much more confident about his abilities that his superiors would trust him that much to already fill him into a position in the Human World!
He remembered the whole thing, even now, with near perfect recall... After all, Vorian was eighty-five percent sure that that town was where he hailed from. Located somewhere in Denmark, it was one of the smaller island towns, isolated by the ocean, hidden from maps and history but not from Soul Society. There had been reports of an increase in Hollow activities by the previous Shinigami assigned there. That was his last report that he wrote. Vorian proceeded to read all throughout the reports that the previous Shinigami, another name he could not recall, had written, discovering that there had been a deadly and infectious disease, a small outbreak of the Bubonic Plague quarantined by water that, fortunately, did not spread. The disease had already built up immunity from the first few times it ran across Europe, as the town was lucky to suffer only a small amount of fatalities. The Shinigami had hypothesized that those diseases were the cause of an increase in Hollow activity, creating and drawing them here.
The town had affected him the moment he set foot there after departing from the Senkaimon with his Hell Butterfly, memories unexpectedly flashed through his head. They were indecipherable, although Vorian had bended and twisted some of those vague images into questionably accurate flashbacks. A small three room hut, running towards a fishing boat with a man rowing back to the dock, playing around with the other children, and one with a dark room filled with the sounds of hellish moaning and groaning, pure suffering...
Recovering from his unexpected and mysterious flashbacks, Vorian had indeed found the town teeming with spirits, there must've been one on every street corner! Some spirits were holding watch over they're small piece of ground or trailing after this person or that. It was a spectacle to see, not at all what he had expected from stories told by others of having an easy time, getting to go shopping and eating non-Japanese food, non-Japanese food!, and only needing to kill the occasional Hollow and give the occasional spirit burial, not this... ******** of spirits. He shook his head and glanced at his Zanpaku-to, while now it was a claymore, back then it was still a katana as he hadn't the control to alter it so drastically yet. "You're going to be seeing a lot of action then, my friend." He said to his Zanpaku-to, only semi-jokingly. His arms were aching by the time he was finishing the first area of spirits, having to hunt down the others who ran, frightened by the sight of a strangely-clothed warrior who seemed to be making spirits disappear left and right.
"One last building and I'll call it a day." Vorian had thought. That "last building" was crumbling down and decrepit, everyone outside had been giving it a wide berth, a fact that Vorian over looked in his fatigue and eagerness. Entering the room, he nearly threw up. The stench was awful, it stank of death and decay everywhere! Coughing, looking around, he was surprised to see that there were fleshless skeletons just lying around... no one had bothered to move them, out of fear.
A shuffling of feet... Vorian quickly readied his Zanpaku-to. The atmosphere of the room was affecting him greatly. He did not know why, but the pungent odor in the room was suffocating him, but why? There were no flesh on those bones, that meant whatever was here had died long ago, so why did it-
Another scurrying of feet, suddenly something flew out of the darkness. Barely noticing it, Vorian managed to leap out of the projectile's path in time to avoid it. It hit the ground and erupted in some sort of liquid a few feet away from where he was standing and his eyes widened in alarm as he saw the floorboards begin to decompose wherever the liquid touched. On high alert now, Vorian caught the site of a few more come flying out of the darkness from his periphery. Diving forward, he managed to avoid those few and found his back against the wall... There was another scurrying sound, growing closer, as suddenly, out of the darkness, what looked like a cross between a spider, a giraffe, and a triceratops began to charge him. It had a multitude of legs, you really didn't take the time to notice these details under pressure, and a large, shielded head with two long horns placed on top of an flexible neck and... yes, that was a mask. It was a Hollow. Behind its neck were two hand-like claws jutting oddly out of its back where what looked like acne was growing.
"Holy sh-" Before he had time to finish, the Hollow crashed into him, one of its horns had managed to slice through his shoulders while the force of impact sent him flying through the decaying walls and into the streets of the town, skidding across the ground for a few meters before regaining his footing.
"Oh ruler, mask of flesh and blood, all creations of the universe, fluttering of the wings, ye who bears the name of man!" He began to chant as he carefully watched the building, especially the Vorian-sized hole he left in its wall.
The Hollow was following him out, making a larger hole with its shielded head so it could follow. Then, sticking its head and neck through the hole, it scurried up the side of the building and twisted its neck to look directly at him. One of its unnatural claw-hands reached for one of the pimply looking things growing on its back and ripped it from its skin and then threw it at Vorian. Quickly, his mind sharpening from the fresh air outside, a welcome smell to the odor inside that building, Vorian rolled outside quickly, still chanting as he ran.
"Scorching heat and disorder, evolve the transposition of the southern sea barrier."
Seemingly getting annoyed at its bad marksmanship, the Hollow kicked off from the building it was on and landed on the ground with a huge thud, causing an impact crater. People where beginning to notice something now too, they were gathering around the old building, repeating old tales and gossips of a creature from hell that would arise to feast on the inhabitants of this town every century or so. Of course, that wasn't completely true, but, from being exposed to so many supernatural beings in a relatively short period of time, these people had high reiatsu, enough to at least notice the shimmering outline of Vorian and the Hollow. The Hollow let out a banshee's shriek as it began its charge against him, head and neck extended straight out to give it range.
"Hado No. 31: Shakkaho (Shot of Red Fire)!" Vorian finished the call as he extended his arms, hands together palm out. The blast of red would've been considered pitiful by him today, but it was unexpected enough to catch the Hollow off guard and to smash it straight in the mask, effectively killing it.
Panting afterward from the exertion to use one of the higher-level kidos for someone of his rank, Vorian had managed to stumble his way onto one of the beaches by the sea and lay down for a small rest. For around the next month, Vorian was busy in the small town sending souls to Soul Society and killing Hollows. At first, that was a difficult task but eventually he began to develop and adapt to combat, thinking fast on his toes.
Serving in that town for a few years, Vorian gained a taste of what he adopted as his “culture” and learned more about it during his stay at that town. After around five years, when the Hollow count was “more acceptable”, according to Soul Society, he was recalled from the town to be replaced by a less experienced Shinigami. Although he knew the reasoning for it, Vorian still felt a pang since he would have to leave.
Returning to Soul Society, he found that five years of combating a large horde of Hollows had given him a boost in ability above his other squad mates, raising him up to Fifth Seat a week after his return. Continuing on this path, Vorian soon found himself the Third Seat after another five years, an obscenely fast rise to a high-ranking seat in the space of ten years. Still, just because he was a high-ranked officer and considered somewhat of a prodigy didn’t mean he lacked a sense of humor, quite the opposite mind you. There were times when Vorian would have drinking contests, bets, and even playing practical jokes on the other squads, including stealing all the toilet paper from the Twelfth Squad Barracks when they were all out on a field experiment.
After another twenty years of intense training, Vorian had unlocked his Bankai, making Jusanbantai the hub of talk among the Captains and Central 46, having three Bankai users in one squad.
Then, multiple events had happened at once, nearly overwhelming him. There was a sighting of an Adjuchas-class Menos in the Human World, something that happened once every planetary alignment with the sun, the center of the Milky Way, and the center of the Universe. Jusanbantai was sent to take care of it, yet an Adjuchas-class Menos is not to be underestimated. It had managed to kill off nearly thirty percent of the unseated Shinigamis and his Vice-Captain, who gave his life to hold it down for it to be killed by a barrage of Kido. The Adjuchas had managed to cero him point blank before being incinerated by Kido.
Then, his Captain was ordered to resign so she could be promoted to the Zero Squad, the elite of Soul Society who were all at least Captain-level. As a result, Jusanbantai was left with two empty Captain and Vice-Captain seats. The most likely candidate to be chosen was, immediately, Vorian. However, he was first promoted to Vice-Captain so he could “get used to an important position of responsibility”, meaning he had to do all the paperwork for a few years before he was promoted to Captain. Not immediately finding another Vice-Captain, meant that he still had to do paperwork… Eventually, another Shinigami was chosen as his Vice-Captain.
Vorian was extremely popular among Jusanbantai and the Gotei 13, with the exception of Twelfth Squad, probably for that toilet-paper stealing prank he had committed, which circulated widely but there was no proof or evidence he had anything to do with it, after all what he did was send one of his Shikai Drones for that task while he had a whole division full of witnesses who saw him “meditate” in the dojo.
Now, he runs Jusanbantai with a gentle hand, allowing most things other squads would not.

Zanpakutou Information
Name: Zasanbushi (The Three Warriors)
Spirit: The spirits of Zasanbushi are unique because there are three of them, instead of just one or two. One spirit wields two rapiers in hand and light armor, another wears leather and has two pistols, the last one is a giant clad in heavy armor with a gigantic shield, four feet in diameter, on his back.
Sealed Description: In its sealed form, Zasanbushi looks like a zweihander, or a two-handed sword, that is roughly six feet long with a four and a half feet blade. The hilt is black with a heavy silver pommel on the end that can be used for bashing enemies that come too close. Although he originally had one, Vorian got rid of the scabbard for his Zanpaku-to after he found that it required too much time to draw his blade as opposed to simply ripping away its restraints holding it onto his back in an emergency or a surprise attack.
Sword Type:
Release Phrase: Guard the Earth, Zasanbushimeka (The Three Mechanical Warriors)
Shikai: When Vorian calls out his Shikai, he holds his zweihander straight up into the hair and watches it changes into energy and jumps to three equilateral points around him. There, three floating droids, with arms crossed over their torso and head lowered, appear. Each one is about four feet and appear to be missing legs. To compensate, they levitate about two feet off the ground and rotate slowly around Vorian. Each droid has a different aspect to it, Attack, Defense, and Range, and has its own special abilities.
Vorian can only utilize two droids at a time in combat and he is usually unarmed, though not defenseless. When he activates it, its eyes begin to glow, each a unique color, and it will raise its head to show that it has been activated and its arms will uncross. When another one is activated, the previously active one goes dormant and will stay where it is unless ordered to return. The activation of a drone takes about two seconds for it to fully start. Dormant droids will automatically follow Vorian, simply rotating around him as he moves, though they will also be carried with him during Shunpo, slowing his Shunpo down.
Shikai Attacks:
Sentokyushu Gunjin (Combat Assault Soldier)
The Attack Droid is nearly completely black, except for its red glowing eyes after it is activated. It wields two black curved swords in place of hands and is the fastest Droid, as well as the skinniest, having very little armor to carry. Its armor level is between that of the Defense Droid and the Range Droid.
Special Ability - Shunpo: The Assault Droid is the only Droid Vorian has that can utilize Flash Step.
Atsuitate Hogosha (Heavy Shield Guardian)
The Defense Drone is nearly completely white, in contrast with the Attack Droid’s black. It has glowing blue eyes instead of read and is the largest, bulkiest Droid, as well as having the best defense. The Defense Drone is the only one that actually has hands. It has two large semi-circular plates on its wrists that face each other and can be put together to form a large shield for a reinforced defense. Vorian rarely ever lets the Defense Droid farther out then maybe three meters away from him as it is also the slowest Droid in terms of movement, bearing the greatest amount of weight out of all three. Its defense is strong enough to block most attacks, Ceros, and kido spells up to seventy.
Special Ability - Shield Discus: The Guardian Droid can detach its shield and either throw it like a discus or give it for Vorian to use. When thrown, the shield will always return to the Droid.
Sento Sanjohoshu (Combat Support Gunner)
The Range Droid is nearly completely gray and has glowing green eyes. has two barrels for its hands that are guns that fire highly concentrated spheres of energy that can do a good deal of damage. It is bulkier than the Attack Droid due to having to carry around a power source for its guns, but also has the lightest armor. The rate of fire for its guns are about ten times a minute per barrel, so twenty times a minute is its usual rate of fire. However, it can bypass the difficulty of reloading due to already having its power source stored.
Special Ability - Berserk: The Range Droid can also go ‘berserk’, increasing its fire rate twelve fold, with both barrels firing twice per second. To compensate for this, holes along its back open up to allow excess heat and energy be released. After this, the Range Droid cannot be used for a while to let it recover. Lasts for three posts, cool down of two posts.
Bankai:
Toitsuteki Zasanbushikeshin (The Unified Avatar of The Three Warriors)
When calling out Bankai, the pieces of each Droid split into its individual component and spin around Vorian and eventually begin to reconstruct themselves around him in the form of heavy armor. It can be seen which component belongs to which due to the different colors, black, gray, and white, of each Droid. On each arm of his, the black swords of the Attack Droid are located on top of his wrists and are retractable. By pulling his hands back, he can fire the “bullets” that the Range Droid does. The shield of the Defense Droid is located on Vorian’s back and can be pulled out to be used for defense, being much stronger than the original. It’s kido-blocking powers alone can now stop up to eighty-nine, similar to Danku (Splitting Void).
Vorian’s Bankai increases his offense and defense greatly, allowing him to utilize the power of all of his Droids without the small, yet potentially deadly, activation time.
Bankai Attacks:
Shield Strike – You know the saying, “The best defense is offense.” Well, almost as a homage to that saying, Vorian’s incredibly durable shield is capable of firing an orange-red beam of thermal energy generated in part by the rotation of the shield’s various sections, such as the outer edge and the center circle of the shield, to generate the attack. The attack’s power is strongest when hit directly center on and does half as much energy when it simply grazes someone. However, the force of a grazing is comparable to that of a direct hit from an Espada’s Gran Rey Cero
Kengenijo (Empowerment) – This ability is an enhanced version of Sento Sanjohoshu’s Berserk Mode. Vorian must recite a chant, which slowly increases his power until he finishes, which then he releases a large amount of it, becoming about thrice as powerful and fast as he originally was before using Empowerment. During the chant and the post when he completes it, his reiatsu is a burning red-orange that later "cools down" into his customary silver-blue of Bankai. For example, the swing of his pata will at first gain a red-orange hue but then a silver outlined with blue one. The shots he fires from his hand are also three times as fast and powerful. Ichiban Keibi also becomes much more powerful, easily matching, even surpassing, a Cero Oscuras.
The Chant
Line One: "Hands of doom are reaching out to crush all infidels who stray." - Effects - This first line causes a slight boost in energy and power in Vorian, as well as causing his patas to have a trail of reiatsu behind them.
Line Two: "These hands you see before you will end the light of day." - Effects - Another small boost in energy, his armor simply begins to thicken to provide better protection. For example, his shield can now guard up to a Level 92 Kido.
Line Three: "Grant me total domination of the world in thy command," Effects - A medium boost in power. Channels and runic carvings magically appear on his armor, seemingly writing themselves. Besides the power boost, this has no other visual effect.
Line Four: "From the air and the water to the fire and the land." - Effects - Red-orange reiatsu flows through the channels and runic carvings all along his armor, causing it to glow. This provides a strong power boost to Vorian.
Line Five: "Now, in my hour of need, send forth upon me... Empowerment!" - Effects - Six ports, in three pairs of twos along his back all parallel to each other, open up and releases and maintains a large blast of reiatsu, excess spiritual power that leaks from his body at such a rate that it requires a method of escape. With this chant, Vorian then has threefold the strength and power he had before starting the chant. His shield can even block Level 95 Kido. His reiatsu, for one extra post, remains red-orange before reverting back to silver-blue.

*Requires a post per line of the chant. Lasts for fifteen posts then with a cool down of ten.
Saigotsucho (Ultimatum)
This is Vorian's last resort attack and, as its name states, an ultimatum of sorts. This is a purely offensive technique that can only be used once every time Bankai is called. Gathering up all his energy, his armor releases itself from him turns into reiryoku, which all began to gather in the pata on his right hand, filling it with an incredible amount of energy, as well as reiryoku from himself. After gathering it all in one place, he releases it in a single, gigantic beam of energy. This technique is dangerous due to the fact that, if it misses, it will leave him defenseless. As a result, it is often used in sync with a Bakudo of some sort.
However, due to training, he can also just concentrate the power into his blade and hold it there, increasing the power of his attacks for a brief moment before he absolutely must release it or have serious wounds inflicted upon himself from his own spiritual pressure.
*Note: Can only maintain the power of Saigotsucho in his blade for three posts. Must fire it off at the fourth post.

Skills:
Master Swordsmanship Specialist - Being in the Gotei 13 for over nine-hundred years and reaching the status of Captain within the first hundred has given Vorian master swordsmanship through training and experience.
Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant - Since with his Shikai he is rendered weaponless, Vorian trained his Hakuda skills as a result. While they are not perfect nor his preferred method of fighting, he is wholly able to battle using without his Zanpaku-to.
Immense Strength - Vorian is also incredibly strong, often he will start a fight by using one hand to wield a zweihander, which is a two-handed weapon by definition. Not only that, his strikes has great strength in them and is capable of knocking people out in a few hits.
Flash Step Master - Vorian can use Flash Step with great expertise, giving him an advantage in combat.
Kido Master - Vorian's level of Kido is very high since he also utilizes Kido quite often in combat and had memorized a large amount of them.
Master Tactician - You don't survive this long by simply rushing into combat with no strategy, after all even Kenpachis were known to die. Vorian, due to, again, many years of training and experience, can largely predict his opponent's moves and move to counter it.
Enhanced Durability - Berserker's Rage - Vorian is able to withstand great injuries and only be slightly impeded by them. When he goes 'berserk' in battle, he will ignore any injury he receives and will continue to battle until his opponent is dead or he is incapacitated.
Immense Spiritual Power - Vorian's reiatsu is great enough that if he doesn't minimize or hide it, it can impair the movements of those around him. The color of his reiatsu is usually silver, but will become outlined with a dark blue in Bankai.
