My husband and I were talking about how we missed the original Star Wars and wanted to watch the movies before things were added into them.
I believe that you can get them on VHS, but since we do not have a VCR, we decided to look for the laser discs! It's so great, because we found a set on Ebay. I believe they were digitally remastered, but before the new movies came out- so there was no sillyness added to it. (Like Anakin's hologram ghost in Return of the Jedi).
Anyway, what do you think? Do you like the added content to the Star Wars movies, or do you prefer the original?

I really enjoy all 3 versions of each movie XD I like how they updated the quality of each movie with the latest release, they look really shiny and new =] The absolute worst thing they did was replace Sebastian Shaw with Hayden Christensen at the end of RotJ. D: That scene makes me feel kinda queasy....
Also! I heard that the laser disc version of Star Wars was sped up 1.5X due to the limited space available on the laser disk. biggrin

I think they should have the original and digitally remastered versions for sale. I always like to see the original versions of things though I do enjoy the remastered Star wars. It annoys me though with things like Disney when they "remaster" those. I think they look terrible. I much prefer the original versions because they look more like a story book. [/sidetrack] I think I like the remastered versions of SW though because it makes the flow better between the newer and the older "episodes".
