- Zanpakutō Shikai Name: Akumu (nightmare)
- Zanpakutō Shikai Appearance Akumu in its released state is a black katana with a Vortex design handgaurd , the Grip is made of a purple tattered bandage that also descends of the hilt to make a slight tassel, smoke also Drifts of the blade
- Zanpakutō Shikai Abilities Akumu ga hikisaite(Nightmare Rend)- this technique simply sends a wave of the smoke drifting of the blade at the victim, as this smoke surrounds the victim it Claws at them as it passes attacking them with shadows of their nightmares.
Akumu no yō na kansen-shō(nightmarish infection)-this is a passive ability caused when Akumu’s blade cuts the enemy the smoke that drifts from the blade enters the wound causing a prickling feeling after a short period of time the victim begins to hallucinate from the infection. This effect is temporary and wears off after several minutes if they are not Cut again but if cut consecutively the hallucinations begin more intense and realistic

- Zanpakutō Bankai Name: Hateshinai Akumu(Endless nightmares)
- Zanpakutō Bankai Appearance: The appearance is almost identical to the Shikai except that the hand gaurd has turned to smoke and circles around the blade causing the smoke it creates to swirl around it in a vortex. Releasing the bankai automatically activates the ability Seikatsu manto o shūryō
- Zanpakutō Bankai Abilities -Arechi no akumu- (wasteland of nightmares) this Creates a Space around the user sealed off from the outside world while within the space the victims Nightmares a brought to life forcing the victim to fight both their nightmares and the wielder all at once,While within this space the user is able to create illusions with a variety of purposes (e.g hiding from sight.) –this is Hateshinai Akumu’s ultimate ability
-Seikatsu manto o shūryō- (Life ending cloak) this ability is a cloak that surrounds the wielder this cloak is made of smoke and it not only creates a defence that degrades attacks before they strike but in a time of great need it can explode outward
the bankai also gives a small strength and speed boost as well as a strengthening of the Shikai attack

While in his Bankai State Vayne is able to do a Fusion of sorts with Hateshinai Akumu this is Displayed by a pair of wings Growing from his back, the wings are made of the same smoke as his cloak but more solid in form. Vayne connat activate this ability whenever he chooses the choice is made by Hateshinai Akumu but Vayne will only look to this technique in a dire emergency due to his distaste for his Zanpukto.While in this state the wing's can fire black spear like projectiles and Vayne's speed and strength are increased.

- Zanpakutō Bankai Time Able to Hold:This Bankai can only be sustained for an hour or two at the most as it takes an immense amount of power to sustain it

-Vayne wears his Zanpuktō in a Baldric either across his back or at his waist , the baldric is designed to be easliy switched between the 2.

- Bakudō: 1. Restrain (塞, sai) -Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.

4. Crawling Rope (這縄, hainawa) -An energy rope entangles a target's arms.

8. Repulse (斥, seki) -Creates a round shield that seems to temporarily paralyze and repel whatever strikes it


9. Hōrin (Disintegrating Circle) -Causes an orange hued tendril with spiraling yellow patterns to erupt from the users hand and attempt to trap a target. the end of it remains in the hands of the user allowing them to control the path of the tendril before and after capture. The Kidō is able to connect with another one of itself if both have captured a target and bind them together.

4. White Lightning (白雷, byakurai) -Fires a concentrated bolt of white lightning from the caster's forefinger.

31. Shot of Red Fire (赤火砲, shakkahō, Red Flame Cannon in the English dub) -Fires a ball of red fire at a target.

In the English dub, it is read as "Ruler, the mask of blood and flesh, all things in the universe that fly, that which names all! In the name of truth and temperance, dig your claws into the wall of sinless dreams!
