Background: Marcus was born into a middle class family. Nothing much really occurred to Marcus until he turned 9 years old. When Marcus had turned 9 Orion took the boy away from the area they lived in. Orion brought Marcus to a woodland type area where they stayed for roughly 6 years. During those 6 years Marcus and his father trained, survived, and defended themselves. After this 6 years they returned back home, and Orion went back to managing the house hold. Daily though Orion would give Marcus task to do which constantly tried his strength and endurance. It is unknown why he joined the Gotei 13 (it is influenced by the death of his wife).

Sealed appearance: (link) is a Ōdachi. The sheath is a dark golden color with bright vibrant yellow designs swirled throughout the shaft. The handle is wrapped with black lacing which reveals small bits of read coloring beneath it.
Shikai release phrase: "Saezuru Doutaini" (Sing together)
Shikai appearance: (link) maintaining it's lengthy form the Ōdachi transforms into a broad looking sword. The curves in the sword appear to be elegantly crafted for slicing through flesh, and the curve nearest to the hilt looks as through it is made for beheading. On the top of the sword nearest to the tip is a series jagged pieces.
Shikai ability:
"Uwaoui Goshujin Mimi" - (cover your ears) this ability nullifies the ability of hearing a person has, but the user is not affected (ability has a 100 yard radius; typically last 2-4 minutes).
"Passhone-to Houyou" - (passionate embrace) this ability acts somewhat like a magnet. It will instantly draw an attacking 'zanpakuto' to the blade of the zanpakuto. For some reason though Kijo Hidenka will only preform this once per battle (She scolds Marcus all the time that she is not a slut).
