Devin walked down the hallway, slowly for now so he could look around, towards his room at the Xavier School for the Gifted. Some gifts... he thought as he entered his room and plopped onto his bed, taking off his hoodie to reveal his still growing horns. They were now about 2 - 4 inches long and flesh colored, which was good since they blended in a little better. From a distance they just looked like an odd shadow or scar. His scales, however, betrayed him daily. Because of their random locations, he had a hard time covering all of them at once. But he didn't mind much. For now a patch on his shoulder shone in the sun that filtered through his window, shining patches of rainbow and blue across the wall. His mutation would come to light eventually, when he got to be around the other kids more.
